Kyan Green and the Infinity Racers was a fun filled, jam packed adventure story perfectly designed for a younger audience. Although could be for both boys and girls, it did lean more towards being catered for boys which wasn’t unexpected.

A good solid first book for Colm Field which I think would be popular for my younger students.

This book is ideal for Key Stage 2 and 3 readers - and the male protagonist on the cover illustration means that it will appeal to its targeted male audience whilst not putting off female readers. The book is relatable and the action begins straight away. The story moves quickly and maintains interest of the reader. I really enjoyed the sections of conversation between Kyan and his sister- their voices were clear and completely relatable for anyone with an annoying sibling. A great book from a debut author.

Kyan Green and the Infinity Racers was a fun, jumanji-esque book for a new generation, it was action packed, fast paced and had a good message to it.
