This is a good book. The two main characters are Sera and Wilson. They meet at work but Wilson doesn’t work there now. Sera won a contest for all expenses paid trip to Hawaii for two. She doesn’t know anybody that she can ask to go with her but she thinks of Wilson, so she calls him. He says he will go. They have a great time in Hawaii. They start dating and fall in love.
Another gem of a book. must read and go and get it today. great series and characters. Must read.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Sera won a trip for two, but before she could tell her boyfriend, he dumps her for her mom.
Oof. Sera knows it’s not her mom’s fault. Her boyfriend took advantage of a delicate situation, and she’s done. Thank you, next.
But there’s still the matter of the trip for two she won – she doesn’t want to waste the visit to the little town that goes overboard for Christmas and frills with white horses, snow, decorations, and Christmas music.
So she calls a guy she used to have a crush on.
Sera doesn’t expect him to answer, much less remember her. But he does, and she asks him if he’ll join her. To her amazement, he agrees.
She knows he’s falling head over heels for her, but Sera isn’t sure she’s ready to love again.
After all, she’s just been betrayed in the worst possible way and had her heart broken.
A quick holiday read, easily finished in under an hour. There were a few glaring plot holes, and a few edits that are needed, but otherwise a fun read.
Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

Review to come around Christmas to blog/goodreads.
I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.
I came across this one (and the second book) on Netgalley and I was instantly curious. I mean, the blurb sounded really adorable and cute and hello Hawaii? During Christmas? That sounds like a freaking dream! Give it!
In this book we meet two characters, Sera and Wilson. The first bit of the book is about Sera as she discovers that her boyfriend is dating her mom and how that makes her feel. Yep. There is more nuance to it, and a bigger shock-factor. I do feel that this part could have written a bit better, I mean, it comes across as a BIG BIG thing, but things are handled and done within a few pages. I would have just liked a bit more? Just a bit more and better closure?
She has to pick a guy for a vacation, she cannot go alone, but she has an idea and I absolutely loved it! It was adorable how Wilson reacted and even though they were talking on the phone I could just feel the sparks. Especially from Wilson, but that is logical, I mean Sera just lost the guy she loved and found out he was a dick.
I loved how it then switched between Sera and Wilson as they went on the trip to Hawaii. I loved that everything was paid for, they just had to have fun and have a good time. That is a dream for me. To just be able to visit an expensive place, a place I would never go to. To just eat and have fun. To explore. That sounds like heaven and I loved seeing the two of them have the best of time together. Getting more and more close to each other. Falling in love, slowly. I was definitely rooting for them, and I also loved seeing that Wilson has been waiting for this moment. We see the little hints. And yes, Sera is oblivious to it all, which was both hilarious and painful.
I loved that part at the ranch. When things went from just a bit to much more, and that set the tone for the remaining pages.
The ending, when they get back from Hawaii, good lord, I just wanted to yeet a chair. Sera, girl. I get it, you just had your heart broken and all that, but how blind are you? And how heartless as well. I just wanted to give Wilson a big hug. I am happy that he found someone to talk to, someone who convinced him to just go for it. That he shouldn't wait. Still, I can tell you I am a bit done with elements like this in romance. I just want a romance to be all happy, maybe some drama OK, but the near-the-end drama just puts me off from reading romance at times.
I am very very happy with the epilogue though, that was just the cutest!
Well, I cannot wait for the next book and get to read Cassy and Blake's story! Despite a bit of drama, especially near the end, I did have oodles of fun reading this book and I loved two people finding each other over a fun holiday! Recommended.
Sera and Wilson had very little backstory. She wins the trip and her boyfriend dumps her. I don’t know why the BF was the one taking care of her mom. But seriously? The mom doesn’t even know that he isn’t her husband? So many plot holes. Sera calls Wilson to go with her after a year of no contact and he goes? There were elements in here that didn’t need to be and stuff that needed to be but wasn’t.
Sometimes after a long day that has sapped you completely of any physical and mental strength you might possess, you just want to lie in bed without taking your street clothes and eat chocolate on your white duvet. Tickets for 2 is the literary equivalent to that feeling of relief. It's a comfort book you might pick up at a supermarket, read once, and donate to the nearest Goodwill, and as stated above, I came across it when I really needed something that wouldn't affect me emotionally, so I don't care to evaluate it critically. In fact, there is no way that I could possibly analyze this from any literary angle. All I will say is... I did enjoy the experience of reading this book, and you might too.
Sort of a second-chance romance. Entertaining dialog. I skipped over the amorous activities. Some inconsistencies, but still a charming rom-com. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.
A romantic story of people following their hearts through life’s ups and downs. The two main characters, Sera and Wilson, are super cute. They are so likable! You will be rooting for them during their little vacation. Sera’s ex-boyfriend Dexter is a really unusual guy with few standards. I enjoyed this novella and look forward to reading more stories by this author.
