I think I just found a new Author! Kathryn Croft definitely keeps you on your toes with this thrilling whodunnit. I can usually guess an ending, but this one ruled out my theories chapter by chapter. A few loose threads left were debatable to me, they can be explained away but personally I prefer more definite endings. Especially with the “villain” of this story. You do get closure though, and even some lingering questions answered! Definitely a must read for psychological thriller fans!

Jess was just a toddler when her mother was brutally killed in front of her in the park. Now, years later, the main suspect of the murder tracks her down to let her know that he is innocent and that somebody else killed Lori... When he is murdered, Jess realises that somebody is trying to keep the truth hidden. Can she find out what really happened to her mother?
A brilliant thriller that keeps you turning the pages until the shocking ending. Full of twists, turns and shocks! Brilliant, much recommended!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of the book in return for my honest feedback.

This intense and chilling novel grabs you in the first page and will not let you go. Impossible to put down ... read in one sitting. If you only read one book a year, get this incredible novel and hang on tight throughout the journey ... you will not be disappointed. First class writing and story worth five stars.

I liked this book. I really liked this story. Secrets…family and friends…the past meets the present…red herrings. The ending is not easily guessed…it takes thought provoking moments to determine what happened. The main character’s life. Is a mystery. Who can she trust? Who is the enemy? There is a huge family and no one knows what the other is hiding…what happened to the mom? This talented and gifted author has written a cannot put down novel…a page turner…the characters come alive on the pages…it is almost like watching a movie but with just the written word…not the screen. This story will stay on my mind for awhile …the book was sent to the electronically by Netgalley for review. Thanks so much to the publisher and the fantastic author. I cannot wait to read more from Croft.

Wow! It’s so nice to run across another gem by Kathryn Croft. I’ll certainly be following her books. Lots of secrets, lies, twists and turns. And some AHA moments of great reveals. Well done dual timelines told in differing POVs. This was a dark and creepy pleasure. Highly recommend
