Thank you to NetGalley and Oni Press for an advance review copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is such a gem of a book!
The illustrations are colorful and adorable with many full pages of art that works very will with this story.
Syv, a snowcat (adorable little fur-ball) along with Kit go on a journey to find the EldKing's crown as per myths that have been passed on through generations among snowcats. It's an adventure story that is told like fairy tales with the story giving a moral lesson in the end. It is a cozy feel-good book that many people will enjoy.
It is also short and will be a great to read out loud to kids or for them to read on their own

I really enjoyed this comic, I think that the message behind the story is beautiful and something that is very needed in today’s society, standing up for what is right and what is correct! I would have liked to see more of a story about Kit and how she played into the story and what happens to her after. Does she live in the kingdom? It would also be great if we were able to see what happened to Syv, because a picture is shown towards the end displaying cubs, were they his?
The backstory between the foxes and the snow leopards also needs to be developed a bit more, there is enough information provided to show what the issue between them was, but there is definitely enough room for growth there.
I think that this comic is easy to read and to follow, and young readers would enjoy it.

Dina Norlund’s stunning graphics elevate Syv, a snowcat prince’s coming of age adventure journey throughout the Three Horizons. Things aren’t always as they seem and Syv must challenge his perceptions.

Rating 4 stars
Really enjoyed the art work and the story overall, it was quite quick but easily followable. You’re following a snow cat prince on the journey and he meets up with a fellow journey human whose not quite what she seemed. The friendship was cute and makes you realize you can find a friendship in unlikely places and people.
Upper aged kids and middle grade appropriate. The color scheme is vibrant and bright, the characters are cute with the snow cats and foxes being different and unique. Thank you for the publisher and netgalley for the ebook arc for review.

A wonderful fairytale of a book about Snowcats and Sandfoxes and our connection to the natural world. Syv is so cute!

When I saw the cover of this graphic novel I immediately wanted to pick it up, who could resist the adorable snowcat and the vibrant color scheme? I do not regret picking it up since the story was absolutely enchanting and beautiful. In it we follow Syv, the seventh and youngest of the Snowcat princes as he goes on a journey to recover a stolen crown. He has to learn some hard truths along the way about how he perceives the world and other beings. Overall it's a beautiful story with vibrant artwork and some dynamic characters. It was definitely an enjoyable read.

I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

The Snowcat Prince is a short and sweet graphic novel chronicling the adventures of Syv, the youngest Prince of the snow cats, as he ventures beyond the borders of his kingdom in search of a lost relic that holds the power to break an ancient curse. Along the way, he befriends Kit, a young girl with a secret, and side by side they travel the lands and face hardships together.

The artwork is really lovely. I particularly enjoyed the foxes. At the back of the book is an appendix with extra art, character designs, and tidbits of lore.

The Snowcat Prince is a heartwarming tale that is sure to be enjoyed by anyone who loves cats, fantasy, and fairy tales.

The art in this Graphic Novel was absolutely adorable. I loved how expressive the characters were and there's a little bit of a peek into the artistic process at the end which was a great bonus. This is a lovely intro to some of the common tropes we see in fantasy, an introduction to the great big world of fantasy for your littles

This absolutely adorable graphic novel is sumptuously illustrated and suitable for all ages. The main character Syv is a little snowcat kitten who is the cutest dang thing you'll ever see. He's a prince who needs to save his people, and etc.

Honestly, this is one of those graphic novels where the art really trumps the story. The storyline itself felt a little underdeveloped and I wasn't particularly engaged by it. As often happens with graphic novels, a lot of elements felt confusing or like they needed fleshing out further, the story progressed so quickly it's difficult to really bond with any characters (except Syv because again - ADORABLE), and the ending was a little too fast and easy.

However I thoroughly enjoyed every page simply because the art was absolutely stunning and I loved how magically rendered both the snowcats and their nemeses, the foxes, were.

Recommend for anyone who likes really cute kitties.

This was a short and sweet fable in graphic novel format. A mythical coming of age story featuring a classic good vs. evil confrontation. The art was absolutely stunning, with adorable characters and vivid landscapes. The story did feel a bit short and almost too rushed, I would have liked a bit more “meat on the bones”. But it was still a very enjoyable read.

This was a nice quick read! I really loved the story and the art. The art was really lovely and well done and consistant throughout the entire graphic novel. The story was in the vein of your classic prince leaves home and goes on an adventure of self discovery. My main complaint would be that I feel the story could have used some more development and could have been longer but other than that it was a very solid story that I’m glad I had a chance to read.

The Snowcat Prince by Dina Norlund is a wonderful story. Reminiscent of many fairy tales where the youngest sibling is the one who is pure of heart, The Snowcat Prince takes the reader on a journey to recover a crown from an enemy the prince doesn't understand. Syv, the prince is the best character and one you find yourself rooting for throughout the novel. Kit is an amazing secondary character who has her own secrets.

The art is sometimes simplistic and sometimes more complex, but always beautiful. The choice of colors was stunning. I will recommend this graphic novel to everyone.

Thank you to NetGalley and Oni press for the advance copy of The Snowcat Prince. All opinions are my own. #TheSnowcatPrince #NetGalley #OniPress

Thank you Oni Press and NetGalley for this graphic novel arc!

The illustrations of this graphic novel are worth the read. The detail and emotions draw you in, following Syv on his adventures to break the curse like so many before him have tried. Being “voluntold” as the youngest who was annoying his brothers but perfect for the mission and just what his world needed at that time.

A read appropriate for adults and children alike, with a depth of relatable lessons based on what you bring to the read. Most importantly perspective!

Lovely wee story about a snowcat called Sly. He is sent on a journey to go find the eldking crown and break the curse his family were hoping he would get 3 strips and be banished so he wouldn't become the king before his brother. This graphic novel had beautiful art work and a unique storyline I would definitely recommend reading it.

I shared this with my daughter (13yo) to get her opinion on this book as well. The story was well written and we both enjoyed it. It was fun and exciting and kept us interested to the very end. The artwork was well done and helped enhance the storytelling. The format of this book was easy to read as an ebook on a tablet and ipad. I received an ARC via Net Galley. The honest opinions in this review are my own. I would definitely purchase a copy for my kids and their friends. Well done and fun to read. Will be keeping an eye out for other books done by Dina Norlund.

It was a cute story about a snowcat, Syv, going on a journey to retrieve the EldKing crown. The pictures were colorful and made the story more interesting. I liked that Syv managed to find his own bravery going up against the EldKing to protect his friend. Kit was another character that was interesting. She was annoying at first, but she became a true friend to Syv.

Beautiful artwork. Stunning colors. The world feels unique, while still feeling rooted in our world; you can see the influences of different regions in the Snowcats vs the Sand Foxes.
The story is a little basic; I saw half the twists before they came, and the other half would have been hard to guess had I been trying. However, sometimes younger readers (meaning the target audience) really need that simplicity to get the message through. Of course, younger readers may not be so versed in tropes and naming conventions, and thus may not see the twists!
Over all, a great middle age gn, perfect for lovers of magic, animals, fantasy, or just killer artwork.
