Her two boys Theo and Finn stayed with their grandparents. Liam’s parents for the last ten years. But the conditions of her parole says that she can’t go anywhere near them or any of Liam’s family. She Vows that she will do anything to clear her name and get her boys back.
With a few acquaintances she meets along the way to help her on her quest. Who really killed Liam and why was she framed for his murder?
Thank you. Bonnier books for a copy of T. M. Logan’s latest offering. The is a fabulous fast-paced thriller, told in Heather’s POV and the lengths she will go to clear her name. The desperation after leaving prison to get the truth to clear her name so she can see her kids. With some help from a burnt-out journalist a fellow prisoner and her sister in law. This is a thrilling gripping thriller and I think it is the authors best book to date. 5 stars from me.
This is an amazing book in typical T.M. Logan style. I can see this on the screen soon too! I loved the juicy twists. My favourite character has to be Jodie- she was heartbreakingly realistic. I will definitely be suggesting this for book-club when it’s released!
Another superb novel from TM Logan. A brilliantly written fast paced thriller that keeps giving with every chapter. The whole novel blew me away and I devoured every page of it. Highly recommended. Thank you to NetGalley, Bonnier Books UK and the author for the chance to review.
A very good, fast paced thriller, full of red herrings, deception, and twists... exactly what you can expect from TM Logan!
I loved following Heather in the investigation to find out who actually killed her husband after she was wrongfully convincted and detained for nearly a decade... who can she trust? Who are her friends? I had no idea, and I kept changing my mind. The ending just topped it all... it was unexpected and very satisfying.
Definitely a book I'd recommend!
Thank you Netgallery and Bonnier Books UK for an advance copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Just what you expect from TM Logan - an interesting and well paced plot, twists you don’t see coming and a satisfying ending
3.5 stars.
A compelling and highly addictive read!
TM Logan can do no wrong! I just love his entire catalogue of novels. This one in particular had me utterly glued to the pages. Not just because it’s set in my home town and features pretty much all of the places I drive/work/live but also because of the way it unfolds.
I love a story told from back to front and twisted around again - and TM Logan is brilliant at it! The Mother is such a thrilling read, well scripted and with a believable cast and well illustrated setting. I don’t think anyone will be able to hold back from being totally absorbed in this story.
As ever, TM Logan holds a lot of content back throughout the story. Partially to keep you guessing but also to drop some major ‘clangers’ in your lap. I particularly enjoyed the moment where Heather goes full ‘Shawshank’ and had to go to prison to become a criminal. So good!
Absolutely brilliant and I’m so pleased I was able to read it as soon as I did. As ever, thanks to NetGalley for my advance copy in exchange for my honest review.
Thank you NetGalley and Bonnier Books Uk for a copy of “ The Mother ” by T.M Logan in return for my honest review.
I know when I start one of T.M. Logans books I’m going to be in for a very late night and this one was no exception. Right from the start it had me gripped and the story continued at break neck speed with plenty of red herrings to keep you guessing. This is my favourite book of T.M Logans so far I highly recommend reading it you definitely won’t be disappointed.
I have read most of TM Logan's books and I think that this is actually my favourite. I love a novel which starts with a brilliant premise and this one delivers. In the first chapter, Heather is attending her own funeral, hiding just a short distance from her mourners including her two children. But what has brought her to this point?
We soon find Heather has been released from prison after being convicted years ago of the murder of her husband. However on release she is determined to prove her innocence at any cost...
This is a well paced, well delivered novel which teases you along drawing you into a nicely rounded off ending.

There comes a time in my relationship with an author when I stop needing to read the blurbs, stop needing to check the ratings, before I dive right in with a book. I just know that me and it will get along just fine. I am at that stage with this author. Before I start one of his books, I just know I need to clear the decks. Make sure I have nothing pressing to do, cos I know that once I start, nothing will drag me away and, if it does, it'll make me grumpy!
So, we start at a funeral, watched by a woman, Heather. It's her funeral. She is watching her young sons grieve her death. And there is nothing she can do about it. She is powerless to ease their pain. No matter how much she wants and needs to, she can't and that hurts her so bad.
We then move to the past. to 10 years ago. When she was putting her sons to bed, waiting for her husband Liam to come home. Little does she know that, next day, she will be accused of his murder...
Oh My Days - Heather is such a great character. I had all the feels for her and what happened. Both in the past and in the present. I wish I could wax lyrical about the whys and wherefores but... It's all too raw and emotional and would spoil things. You need to witness for yourself, rather than hear second hand. She is one fierce mama-bear...
It's fast paced and the plot and characters very well crafted and very substantial. It hits the ground running with that funeral scene and the pacing doesn't let up until the very last page. Layers upon layers of intrigue are built up. Both in the past and the present. With secrets, lies and my favourite dysfunctional behaviour aplenty, although I tried to figure out where we were going, I never thought we'd end up there! Well done that author!
All in all, another winner from an author now firmly cemented on my watch list - really can't wait what he will have in store for next time. My thanks go to the Publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book.
Rating: 4.5 stars
Upon leaving prison on parole after a long 10 years behind bars Heather sets out to clear her name of her crime - the crime being killing her husband.
Once I started reading this book, I found it very hard to put down and ended up staying up until 3am to finish it. I found Heather's narrative to be compelling and easy to follow. This was one of the books where you felt like you couldn't trust anyone, and it was so interesting to see how it all played out. While the ending wasn't exactly what I wanted it to be, it was certainly a surprise that I didn't see coming; though could understand looking back how it all fit together. I look forward to reading more from TM Logan!
A great book by T M Logan. A good storyline with plenty of tension and twists and turns with some red herrings thrown in. The ending was a big surprise also, I certainly wasn’t expecting that. I will definitely look to read more by this author.
Another exciting thriller from author T.M. Logan. I always enjoy this authors books, they are always fast paced and exciting.
Heather is released from prison, free after serving time for a crime she never committed. Ten years earlier she was convicted of killing her husband Liam but now she wants to clear her name and get her children back. She found her husband dead, stabbed in the chest when she woke up and was completely unaware of anything.
I really enjoyed this one and read it as quick as I could wanting to know what was going to happen. Good twists and an exciting read.
I would like to thank both Netgalley and Bonnier Books for supplying a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
Although this book is very good at building the tension, I found it quite difficult to care much about Heather or the situation she found herself in. The plot didn't really grip me and I found I wasn't too bothered about solving the mystery, but the writing was good!

Heather watches her children at a funeral, whilst she is hiding in the shadows. Ten years ago she was imprisoned for the murder of her husband, something she denies and can't remember. She woke up feeling odd with a glass of whisky and tablets by the bed, something she wouldn’t do because of the children and then found him downstairs with a stab wound in his chest. She is tried and found guilty of murder. Ten years later Heather is determined to clear her name and reclaim her life with her boys and find out what really happened that fateful night.
Woah! A book that grabs you early on, builds the tension and then holds on. A tale of steely determination and the tenacity of someone wanting to put right something so wrong and yet finding out about much of her husband's life she never knew when he was alive. I couldn't help but admire Heather. She really had very little to lose by taking this path. I've read T. M Logan books before and thoroughly enjoyed them, this one is mind blowing. A twist I didn’t see coming, one heck of a plot line. Wow, wow wow!

Compelling…
A mother convicted and incarcerated for a heinous crime sets out to prove her innocence upon her release in this pacy, edgy and fast moving suspense. She has lost everything and she determines to recover it all. Was she framed? Is she innocent? With a wholly credible cast of characters, an immersive and convincing narrative, twists aplenty and a compelling plot fuelled by nerve shredding tension this is a one sit, emotionally exhausting read.
I’ve been enjoying the TV adaptation of one of TM Logan’s other novels, The Catch, so having is latest to read as well was perfect timing!
Logan just gets better and better. This is a highly topical thriller with references to Parliament, and twisty turns that I absolutely did not see coming. Really appreciated the accurate portrayal of probation too - well-researched and another Logan that I’ve read in a day.
Thank you to NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book.
Heather is married to an MP called Liam and they have two young children together. Liam comes from a wealthy family, who cut all ties with Heather when she is convicted for Liams murder. Heather swears she didn’t do it, but the evidence is overwhelming, and it’s clear she’s the culprit. Apparently.
This was another excellent read from this author. He never fails to have the shock factor within the pages. The characters were all well written and came across as relatable. Heather was extremely well written, and had the right elements of vulnerability and strength. There were twists and turns throughout the whole story, with explosive elements that shocked. An excellent read as usual.
10 years ago, Heather was convicted for killing her husband Liam. Now that she is out of jail, she is determined to find out the truth about who really killed him to clear her name and get her children back. But what follows will be a shocking and dangerous journey...
A thrilling story that keeps you turning the pages until the shocking ending. Great characters, plot and fantastic twists and turns. Loved it!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of the book in return for my honest feedback.
Thank you Netgalley for this advanced copy. This was a good book but i did feel it was a little long. Great suspense as you follow Heather through what really happened to her husband. Shocking ending! Not at all who i was thinking it would be!
Heather is accused of murdering her husband and sent to prison for eighteen years. After nine years she's out and determined to prove her innocence so she can win back custody of her two beloved sons, but soon realises this is going to prove difficult because somebody out there will stop at nothing to keep the truth hidden forever.
T.M Logan is the master of rollercoaster thrillers. This was so fast paced and unpredictable with some very interesting characters. I'd highly recommend. Thanks to Netgalley for the chance to read this ARC
