There was so much going on with this it was non stop drama! Loved the setting for the story and the family were really interesting all hiding their own secrets. And I definitely wasn’t expecting where it was going in the end.
Overall this was really good maybe a little too much drama at points that took away from the main points but still really entertaining.
Thanks to NetGalley for this Arc.

This is the sort of book that stops me in my tracks. Anything involving children is really heart wrenching and the book needs to be well written in order for me to proceed.
This is one of these books. The characters and the background surrounding the family makes it relatable and warm even though what is happening is horrible.
I didn’t guess any of what happened, it was genuinely thoroughly engaging and enjoyable.

A great psychological thriller. A party, a fall and a whole cast of suspects. Lots of great twists. A really good read.

This book is a slow starter, however, the pace picks up and it becomes fast paced thriller with lots of suspense.
Kate & Beth are twin sisters, they both have 15 year old daughters who are inseparable. Beth and Kate are celebrating their 40th birthday with all the family at a surprise party.
Just a few hours later Kate’s daughter Caily is in hospital in a coma, following a fall, the police suspect her fall was not an accident, who pushed her and why?
Within the family circle there are many secrets, some go back many years, many lies told to keep the secrets hidden. The family are under pressure from all angles, everyone suspicious of one another. There are lots of twists as one secret after another comes to light.
As Caily regains consciousness one family member begins to panic and this leads to them taking drastic measures to keep some secrets buried.
This is an addictive read, with a sad tragic ending,
Thanks to Net Galley and HQ Publishing for an ARC of this book in exchange for a review and to Louse Jensen for another great read.

Great story. Interesting characters. Storyline keeps you guessing right till the end.
Thanks for the ARC

An interesting premise but unfortunately this wasn't for me. I found the pacing a bit off and I found myself several times wondering had I skipped a bit accidentally as the storyline plunges from one drama to the next. Had their b been more nuance and less dramatic incidents I think I would have enjoyed this a lot more.
There is a decent story at the heart of this book but it's lost amid the sheer amount of chaotic incidents of accidents, bullying, pregnancies, gangsters, drugs, failing health, secret love children, murders, fires , poisonings . Sometimes less is more.
A no from me.

I liked the premise of this book but sadly found the execution a little confused and muddled. It starts with the fallout and events surrounding the night of the twins’ 40th birthday with one of their daughters being in a coma after a ‘fall’ from a bridge. The rest of the story unravelled with every possible issue being thrown at it: underage sex, abortion, family rivalry, debt crisis, drugs, underworld gangland vendettas, dementia, bullying to name just a few. There were a couple of times I thought about not finishing but I continued to the neatly packaged, slightly too unbelievable end. Sorry but this wasn’t my cup of tea.

Blood ought to be thicker than water
After their twin mothers‘ 40th birthday party a their remote farm, Kate‘s 15 year old daughter, aspiring ballerina Caily, ends up in a coma after a nasty fall from a bridge. Doubt and mistrust in the family ensue about the cause of the tragedy and even a possible perpetrator. The book was quite hard going for me since neither the plot nor the characters succeeded in engaging my interest, but I persevered to the unexpected end.

Really enjoyed this book! This author has a great way of intertwining a complex storyline with some mystery and intrigue. Enjoyed this book!

2 sitting read and I loved it, couldn't put this one down! Following a family with so many secrets I loved it. I was invested in all of our main characters and just had to know what had happened.
I loved the writing style with multiple points of view and timelines. This book was a wild ride and one I highly recommend.

The Fall follows Kate and her daughter, along with Kate’s sister and her daughter. Both girls have been best friends for a long time, but an incident leaves Kate’s daughter in a coma. Who knows what happened and can Kate trust her family?
The fall was a good read with lots of twists and turns. I found the ending quite heartbreaking. I recommend reading this book.

This author is new to me and I really enjoyed the story, I just loved the twists and turns that kept me turning the pages and guessing to the end, Look forward to reading more from Louise Jensen.
As always my thanks to NetGalley and H Q for the early read

This book was a disjointed read for me it was OK but not memorable and I struggled to engage with it at times and the ending just didn't sit right for me.

Another incredible read from Louise Jensen!
I loved the plot of this book and the family are incredible. I did not see the final twists coming at all!

She promised not to tell. They made sure she couldn't…
At her surprise 40th birthday party, Kate Granger feels like the luckiest woman in the world but just hours later her fifteen-year-old daughter, Caily, is found unconscious underneath a bridge when she should have been at school.
Firstly, this book is an easy read. Perfect for reading on the beach or holiday balcony. It has well-developed characters and an ever-increasing pace as the story progresses. Very enjoyable read.

The Fall by Louise Jensen is a psychological thriller about a family torn apart by the mysterious fall of their teenage daughter. The book is an easy read and is full of twists and turns, and it will keep you guessing.
The story begins with Kate Granger’s 40th birthday party. She is celebrating with her twin sister Beth, their husbands, and their teenage daughters, Caily and Tegan. Just hours later, Caily is found unconscious underneath a bridge. She is rushed to the hospital, where she falls into a coma. The police investigate Caily’s fall, but they soon realise that it was no accident. Someone pushed her. But who? And why?
I enjoyed reading The Fall. It was fast-paced and mysterious which kept me engrossed. However, I did find some of the dialogue to be a bit cringey, especially near the end. I also felt that the short sentences, while making it easy to read, also made the book feel more dramatic – sometimes unnecessarily so. This irritated me a little at times.
The book started off as quite a slow burn but the pace soon built up. There were plenty of secrets lurking within the two families and, as we slowly started to unpick what really happened, there were some shocking relvelations that I didn’t see coming!
Overall, I would recommend The Fall to fans of psychological thrillers. I haven’t read any other books by Louise Jensen but I would like to give them a go.

Thank you to #Netgalley and #HQ for the copy of #TheFall by #LouiseJensen
Twins Beth and Kate have had a terrific time celebrating their 40th birthdays.
The next day Kate’s daughter Caily falls from the bridge and is in a coma.
But did she fall or was she pushed, who would do such a thing to a 15 year old girl.
As the investigation takes hold secrets and lies are uncovered, who is telling the truth ?
What lengths will someone go to the keep their secret ?

A compelling, compulsive fabulous read. When Louise Jensen writes a book, you know you are in for a treat!
This character-driven plot is multi-layered, which keeps the reader engaged, seeking clues and trying to solve the mystery.
Although there are a lot of characters in this book, they are so well-developed that they are easy to remember, to empathise with (Mary) or to dislike (Victor) (depending on who they are). The story reflects on the strength of family, the relationships within that and the special bond between twins. It also develops the idea that everyone has secrets, they’d rather keep that way.
I found the plot fast-paced, with many unexpected developments which make for a brilliantly executed story. It is full of suspense and tension and is a real page-turner.
Using an old farmhouse and buildings for the main setting makes for a genuine, atmospheric feel.
The story being told from several points of view also makes for a very interesting read, gradually revealing snippets of information that lead, eventually, to a satisfying ending. How Louise Jensen manages to pull all the strands together amazes me. A really good read.

As always with this author this was a brilliant read and I was hooked from the be re first page and read it in almost one sitting this story combined a psychological thriller intertwined with a family domestic drama story which started off slow paced which acted to create more intrigue as to what was coming next then picked up the pace causing an element of suspense.
Lots of twists and turns to keep the reader hooked until the end.

Kate & Beth are twins & best friends. At their surprise fortieth birthday party they feel blessed. Life isn't always easy but they have each other. Their daughters Caily & Tegan are also very close, having grown up together. Their school is putting on a production of LaLa Land & Caily has the star role. A talent scout is to be there & this could be the start of great things for her, so no-one can understand why she missed the final rehearsal & how she ended up below a bridge with a serious head injury. As Caily lies in a coma, investigations may put Tegan in the frame for it. How can the twins & their parents relationships manage to survive these events/
This was a twisty tale that kept me reading up way past time for sleeping! I had to find out what had happened. Thanks to Netgalley & the publisher for letting me read & review this book.
