Me and my children enjoyed this story with all the characters within. It's about a frog that learns to be nice to an old oak tree. Lily is a frog that want some sunshine but her lily pad is close to an old oak tree. She is mean to the old tree because she can't get some sun. The old tree is sad.

This was a fun story to read. It had action and adventure throughout. It had a few giggles within. The illustrations were colorful.

I received a complimentary copy via Netgalley. This is my honest unbiased opinions.

My daughter and I loved this gorgeous children's book, which is about a frog called Lily who comes across a majestic oak tree and learns some lessons. She learns about humans, the science of how trees work, and how to apologise when she has hurt the tree accidentally.

The images in the book are beautiful and vibrant, and the text is nicely laid out and easy to read.

This is a really fantastic book, which I recommend highly!

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book.

Loved how this book used a tree, nature and animals to teach kids about kindness. It allowed kids to learn without realizing they were learning.

This is a great little story about the importance of trees, that can be read quickly and understood by even children who are quite young. I also like that it includes a bit of information about mammals and amphibians. The illustrations are delightful and add to the over all story.

Thank you so much to Lioness Publishing House and Netgalley for the ebook to read and review.

Lily Faye a frog is angry at the giant oak tree for blocking her Sun, then she sees humans for the first time and is fascinated so goes to investigate whilst listening in on their class she learns just how vital tree our to the world.

This was cute, it had a good moral to the story, great education on the importance of trees, cute little animals and pretty bright illustrations. I liked that Lily Faye had to learn, she got angry easily when she didn’t get what she wanted but when she stopped and listened and learnt that the tree was there for a very good reason.

This is a great book to include in a science topic, it is a really fun and easy read. Children will really enjoy learning from a book like this, it teaches them something important in an easy and fun way, rather than in a long winded boring way. It’s a fun and cute little read.

Thank you NetGalley and Lioness Publishing House for accepting my request to read and review Lily Faye and the Mighty Oak.

This lovely children's book includes bright illustrations, environmental stewardship, animal classification and manners.

The illustrations are so eye-catching. As I turned each page, my standard reading process reversed. I was drawn to the illustrated story, and once I admired every inch, I read the page.

There is a little Lily in all of us. Lily comes across a couple situations where what she believes to be true is not true, and she hurt a member of her society. If she had not been quickly taught she may have went on to hurt the environment and other members of her life.

The introduction of humans to a young frog was incredibly unique. I loved how the humans were written, their purpose lightly touched on, and I found myself moved by their scenes. In addition, Lily learns the truth and figures out she hurt a friend. The author impressed me again with the writing, age-appropriate urgency was used to prioritize an apology, confirming facts and understanding.

I loved everything about this book. Parents, children, nursery schools, grandparents and yes, babysitters should be gifted this beautiful art piece.

What a sweet children’s story. I read Lily Faye and the Mighty Oak to my daughter three times today and we enjoyed learning about Lily the frog, her friend the Bluefish and her mighty oak tree. She’s too young to understand most of the story and the educational pieces around the importance of trees to mammals / animals around oxygen and co2 but I was pleased to be reading her a children’s book that was just a little bit extra than the typical book.

The illustrations are bright and eye catching and the story itself is heartwarming providing a powerful life lesson that we shouldn’t judge the usefulness or importance of someone or something without knowing all the facts. Lovely lesson!
