HR expert Cathy Hastie is helping women and employers to improve their understanding of menopause and introduce changes that can help women thrive during the menopause transition in the workplace, and continue to make major contributions to their companies. The book provides information on managing menopause symptoms in the workplace, rights and responsibilities, managing performance and promotion and workplace culture and change.

Cathy has drawn on knowledge amassed during more than 20 years as a Human Resources practitioner and from her own experience of the menopause to write ‘Menopause Working’, a book which provides everything an employer needs to know - but had never thought, or dared - to ask about managing menopause.

Sorry to say one of the worst books I've ever read.
Not helpful.

Thanks to Netgalley for the chance to read this book. While I got the book for free it had no bearing on the rating I gave it.

Women's health had been a taboo since the start . We don't talk about periods ,pregnancies definitely no one talked about Menopause.
But these hormonal roller-coasters are the base of a women's life .We face these and keep up our appearances like nothing happens to us although we are dealing with monsters in our own bodies .
Our grandmother's or mothers never talked about menopause. They never really prepared us for this situation.
Menopause effects every woman differently but it sure glithes a woman's journey be it as a mother/wife or as a working woman.

My own experience had been terrible. I had no idea what was happening and my line manager was also confused how to handle the situation.

This book gives a very detail insight how menopause effects a working woman.

What are the ways to handle it at workplace?
What employers need to know about it?

How a woman can thrive at her workplace with right kind support.

I totally understand the statistics mentioned in the book but it was boring for me.
We need more books to help women in this crucial time in their lives.

Menopause is impacting the lives of thousands of women in the workplace - some to such an extent that they are being forced to leave their jobs - but many employers are hopelessly ill-equipped to deal with the issue.

Well, I have had my problems with this book - I did not really like it. Only Text and very little charts or pictures. In my opinion difficult to read and i got bored after a while.
