Becca Calloway is ready for the one. She will even hold a manifestation ceremony to get him and when her ex texts her straight after she knows it must be a sign… but what does the sign mean. We follow Becca as she goes down two different paths to find love, should she rekindle her love with Mike or block him and find a new man?
I love Laura Jane Williams books, I love her beautiful writing style and I always think her books are so easy to read and imagine the story. Her female main characters are always so fun and full of life and Becca totally fit into this, she was a great character to follow and see her timeline throughout the book. I didn’t find the chapters flowed as well in this book which made it hard for me to get into but I liked the concept and the idea of two alternative storylines was so cool and I loved how they weaved in and out of each other. I was surprised by the ending but I thought it was sweet.

This book was incredible!
Such a unique way in which it was written. The main characters has personalities, flaws and felt human.
I couldn’t put it down and loved the ending!

Although initially confused about what was happening, once I got into the book I realised that it was operating on a ‘sliding door’s’ narrative arc. Sadly, the eventual outcome seemed so obvious that there was no real question in my mind and the characters were, for the most part, simply too two-dimensional for me to really get onboard with it.
If you are looking for a feel good summer read that doesn’t stretch your imagination too far on the beach, this might well be what you’re after, it sadly just didn’t work for me.
With thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an arc of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

Laura Jane Williams does it again! I absolutely loved this book..I loved how uplifting it was. I loved the complexities it explored. I loved the sliding doors feel. I just adored it.

I really enjoyed this book. I initially went in blind, and soon after realised what a mistake that was! I was so confused as to why there were two men but never referred to at the same time. Eventually, I realised that I was being an idiot, and once I'd grasped onto the parallel storylines, I really enjoyed the dynamics of the book.
Becca was such a fun character - I loved reading about her romantic adventures, and particularly loved her relationships with her friends, which felt so real! While the initial romances of both storylines felt slightly underwhelming to me, I think it made my enjoyment of her final choice so much more thrilling as the book really picked up pace 25% of the way through.
If you're after a fun, unique romance to quench your need for a summer book, this is the book for you!
Thanks to Penguin and NetGalley for early access to this book!

This is book is so good! I was hooked within the first few pages and couldn't put the book down.
I can definitely sat that ill be on the look out for more books by this author in the future.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Lovestruck is an enjoyable read, it’s well paced and entertaining.

When becca gets a text from an ex should she text back or not. We go through both universes, however at the end both lead down the same road eventually
I absolutely adored this book, I had to find out the ended as soon as possible!!

I recently completed reading the novel 'Lovestruck', a delightful and comforting love story that may appeal to readers seeking a quick and effortless read.
Being a devoted admirer of Williams' writing style, I had high anticipations for this latest publication, and while it certainly didn't disappoint, it didn't top my list of favourite works by this author. This could be attributed primarily to the predictable plot, although the book's format could also benefit from some enhancement. Nonetheless, I found the dual timeline to be a compelling narrative style, and the characters were both well-crafted and endearing.
The conclusion was particularly satisfying, making this book an excellent choice for a beach read in 2023.
Overall, if you're a romantic comedy enthusiast, I would undoubtedly recommend giving 'Lovestruck' a chance.

Loved this one so much, the story had me from the first few pages.
Love a good romance and this one did not disappoint.
Laura Jane Williams is now on my list to read everything she's done!!

Unfortunately I had to dnf this book after having read over 50% of it. I just didn’t particularly enjoy the writing style, I would have preferred if the book was written from the perspective of the main character. The plot also wasn’t very interesting for me and I found myself skimming through the book more than actually reading it.
Unfortunately it wasn’t for me but it doesn’t mean others won’t enjoy it!
Big thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the digital review copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book. A modern romantic story that is light, engaging and enjoyable. A good summer read!

She’s done it again! LJW has delivered another stellar, modern romcom with relatable characters, engaging storyline and addictive chemistry! Love love love anything by the talented LJW. I am so grateful for this advanced copy and cannot recommend it highly enough.

This book is everything you want from a laura jane williams book. A really fun and relatable character, am interesting read that you never know where it will lead and belly laughs to pull you from the worst mood.

I really liked the whole concept of this book but the dual timelines and Becca's suitors both deterred me off this book. Even Becca herself felt like a monotonous character who came off as too desperate to find love. I wasted my time thinking she would end up with either Mike or Noah but the ending was very surprising. Carlos was a great choice for her though. I also liked Jia Li and Becca's parents who were the only saving grace of this book. Becca did not radiate those "strong main character" vibes for me and while I enjoyed the book towards the end, the initial chapters failed to reel me in tbh.
I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review

This was a book of two half’s for me.
The first half I found forgettable and wasn’t really that engaged by it. It also took me forever to realise the chapter titles were the dual timelines… it sounds ridiculous but I thought it was another annoying formatting thing that happens on NetGalley all the time!
By the time I got to 60% I was sucked in and didn’t want to put the book down. It felt like the MC was finally sorting her sh*t out, the friendships grew stronger and the rubbish men went to go and be rubbish!
My favourite thing about this book was the underdog getting the girl.
This book definitely redeemed itself for me so I will say it’s worth picking up for your holidays!
Thanks @netgalley, the publisher and author for an advanced copy of the book.

Such an easy very quick read and great all round characters. Perfect book to read by the pool with a glass of rose.

Although a little predictable, I really enjoyed this book from Laura Jane Williams. It’s everything you could want from a warm and cosy romance. It’s relatable characters and great balance between reality and light-heartedness makes it a recommended read.

This is the first book I have read by this author.
A light hearted easy read romantic comedy
Really enjoyed it will definitely read more by this author

Lovestruck is a light-hearted read that I know will appeal to a lot of readers, but I found it a bit cheesy and predictable. However, I really liked the sliding-doors-style 'what if this happened instead of this'. I always find narrative elements like this enjoyable in books and this definitely brought it up from a book I may not have finished to one I carried on with, and did enjoy overall.
I really enjoyed 'One Stop' by this author and that remains my favourite out of the various books I've read by Laura Jane Williams, but this one would come in second. The story is entertaining enough, I just felt like I wanted to yell at Becca because I could see so much coming from the start. It was, however, still a fun read.
