This is an enjoyable read, moving and funny. Clare is reeling from a separation and agrees to help out her neighbour Louise with a catering event. Clare is the one who is helped, and we learn about the families involved in the funerals they cater.
A great read. I don’t know how to review it. You just kept wanting to read it. Set in Sydney in Australia . All about friendships, losing and finding new loves. Some great descriptions of wakes, deaths and food.. I so wanted to taste the chicken sandwiches . I loved it. One I will recommend. .
A really lovely read that I loved every second of. it was well written with a charming and moving storyline and well developed characters whom I loved.
Tender and hopeful, despite the number of wakes, this book is quietly wonderful. Now I want to know how to make pretty much every morsel of food that was mentioned
I really enjoyed this debut by this author, The book was never going to be laugh a minute by it's title, but it is heartfelt, poignant and emotional - an entertaining read which I would highly recommend. Old friends, good food and new relationships, this was a great read.
