Unfortunately I wasn't able to get very far in this story because the awkward prose was too bothersome to try to interpret. Things that needed more exploration and description were rushed through and less important things more heavily described, and other things just didn't make sense like the main character thinking she must have special skills because she was able to simply hold a knife in her hand without cutting herself. Little awkward ways of expressing things like that were all throughout the first few chapters and I just couldn't see the story through the bad prose.

Keisha and the Legacy is a sweeping and exciting fantasy adventure, with magic and unforgettable characters. A relatable and entertaining reimagination of Dante's Inferno for middle grade and young adult readers alike, who will fall in love this modern retelling of a great classic. Offering a captivating look at the power of heroism, I can't wait to see what happens next in The Legacy Verse series!
