"Good Relations" is a useful resource for those readers who want to better their relationships or build new ones on strong fundaments. It's written with an experienced professional, Janet Reibstein, and based on research. Full of practical advice and easy-to-understand theory, it's overall a great read.

Thank you for the advanced copy.

I took a while working through this book and it was worthwhile. I enjoyed working through it, it was well written but I think it could be laid out a little better be this in your personal life or at work.
I believe everyone can work through this and work on their relationships with others.

Highly recommended

Review of Good Relations
I enjoyed reading this book. I found it well laid out with clear and consistent information. Some new ideas in it which I will be trying. Recommend

This book offers a great introduction to communicating better in various relationships - from friendships to family issues and even one-off conversations.

I was largely interested in the business/workplace relationships section but found myself avidly reading the other chapters and considering the guidance given by the author in my day to day interactions.

Reminding myself to pause and mentalise really helped with having better days and calmer communication.

I defy anyone to read this book and not relate to many of the examples of how we can change how we react to others. I feel it has helped me understand how my reaction to a situation/argument can either calm or escalate how the rest of the conversation plays out.
A solid and interesting self help book.

New year, new you? I took my time reading this book and did not regret it. It’s definitely a book filled with knowledge and purpose. The book and content are bite-sized but this is a book that you can re-read and come back to over and over again depending on the situation you are facing in life.

The E-Book could be improved and more user-friendly, such as links to the chapters, no significant gaps between words some text written has been typed in red and a cover for the book would be better. It is very document-like instead of a book. A star has been deducted because of this.

This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and would read more of their work. Thank you very much to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

The book aims to help you have better relationships with your loved ones, including relatives through using example converstaions witha fictional "sister" where you come away disgruntled and detailing what you could have said, or how you could rephrase things to hopefully lead to better outcome. The writer also discusses why certain phrases or topics of conversations from particular loved ones can "trigger" us. It was an easy enough read as I paced myself with it, dipping into it for a chapter at a time over several weeks. I would have felt rather overwhelmed if I'd tried to read it in one stretch. The advice could well be applied to work and social situations. I'm not usually a big fan of the fictional but could be real conversation approach ( I've come across it in a lot of romantic and work relationship self help books) as it never quite hits the spot as conversations never follow such a logical flow but the writer gives enough more general advice that could be helpful.
