Bulldogs are cheeky and adorable, and they will certainly let you know what they want and don't even try not giving it to them.
This nonfiction book is about British Bulldog brothers - Bobby and Bubba. They divide their time between the town (London) and the country (Warwickshire).
This famous duo is famous on television, magazines and of course social media.
The book is marketed for children, but I know adults enjoy it as well. With short chapters and it being adorably illustrated, it's okay to read just one more chapter to your child at bedtime. I enjoy reading about these spoiled pups' antics and seeing what they got up to.

This book is just simply too cute! I love both the text and the illustrations. It is extremely enjoyable and children will absolutely love it. In fact, I intend to show this to my 10 year old cousin and see what she thinks so I could buy a physical copy for her.

Bobby and Bubbas Small Adventures us a delightful, fun and enjoyable book for not just children but dog lover grown-ups too. Bobby and Bubba are two adorable British Bulldogs that live in London and this is a cute short story collection about some of their funny little adventures. The author did a fantastic job writing about these two cheeky chappies and ifound the writing style both complementary to the dogs and refreshing to read. As a French bulldog owner and general dog lover, I fell I'm love with these two brothers and would love to meet them on their travels. The illustrations are fantastic too and really bring the stories to life. A beautiful book for any dog lover to cherish!

A cute book that dog lovers will love to read.

This is an interesting and lovely story book for children in general but there are some issues with it which is why I’m struggling to give this a full 5 rating. Bobby and Bubba are British bulldog brothers and have grown up together with their dad Alexander and mum Michela and grandma and grandpa Andrea and Anthony, who is the author of the book. Bobby, or Bob, and Bubba get up to all kinds of adventures when out for their walks including meeting and helping a homeless man, encountering strange creatures in the garden and getting a little too boisterous in the park, but the two have good hearts and along with some crazy antics they also show their love for each other and their fellow humans.

This book is such a lovely idea and is based on the adventures of the real life Bobby and Bubba who are instagram stars and also famous in their home in Chelsea, London. I was so excited to read this book as I didn’t know about Bobby and Bubba before being offered the chance to review this book, and once I found out about this I instantly followed their instagram channel and have enjoyed seeing lots of pictures of the brothers. The book has a brief introduction to Bobby and Bubba before each subsequent chapter of about three to five pages long contains a short tale of the brothers adventures.

There are plenty of things that happen to Bobby and Bubba in this book and I have enjoyed a lot of the stories in general. They get up to a lot of silly mischief on one of their walks causing all sorts of silliness to happen with various other dogs. In another adventure the boys see what appears to be an angel that helps their humans who are arguing; and in another adventure the duo end up becoming famous tv stars! The stories in general are good, they are written in a fun way to appeal to both children and adults, but unfortunately although there are some stories that I really enjoyed, others just felt like they missed the mark for me.

One of the best stories in the book for me was ‘Bubba is forgiven’ where Bubba is holding onto a dog bone so fiercely when Bobby is trying to take it that poor Bobby ends up falling down a few stone steps hurting his leg. This story is so lovely as you see what happens to Bubba when he’s separated from his brother while his Bobby is rushed to the vet, and the lesson that Bubba learns, and the lovely thing he later does when Bobby returns is so sweet and felt like a perfect heart-warming tale! Another story I enjoyed just as much as this one was another one which showed Bubba’s love for his brother as something happens at the grooming salon that they visit. Yet another tale that was lovely too was the one where the boys become famous tv stars and I loved what happened in the story with a Big Issue seller too.

These felt like the best stories, with many more being interesting too. Some of the stories felt like they had a good start but felt like they finished too abruptly for me, instead focusing more on a philosophical message for children at the end, sometimes quoting somebody famous or even the Bible. While I did like the way these finished and the messages they teach, I did just prefer the slightly longer stories of the pair showing their love for their fellow humans and each other more. Unfortunately though, for me some of the stories felt like they had references to things or were written in a way that might be less appealing, particularly to younger children, and in some cases I felt like the various mentions of lockdown and the pandemic weren’t necessary as it felt like it dated the stories and they just weren’t necessary for the magic of what was happening in the tale like the story with the angel.

While reading this book I overall was hoping to give it somewhere between a three and a four rating (it would have been five if it wasn’t for the references that some children might not get) however one of the last stories for me really upset me reading it and it felt like such a disappointing tale which spoilt the rest of the book for me. Spoiler ahead: Regardless of the fact that the story might be fiction, a human character ends up punching a dog while the dog is being aggressive towards it. In a normal book for children this might be considered alright if the dog was some monsterous thing that was going to really hurt and kill someone (like a rabid dog) or the person hitting the dog is the ‘bad’ character in the story who gets his commuppence, but in this story the owner, who tries to break up the two brothers fight, and ends up getting bitten at first, then has Bubba growling at him before lunghing for him, and the owner ends up hitting Bubba, later believing it was the right thing to do as the dog had to learn a lesson of treating the human correctly. While this story does have a happy ending with both owner and dog coming together in the end and loving each other and both feeling sorry for what has happened, the book still justifies and condones the idea of the dog being hit by its loving owner, and as an animal lover and someone who reads a lot of children’s fiction, I just know that this sort of story would never usually be allowed to be published for children, at least not without the owner learning that hitting their dog was wrong. If it had been a pillow or some other form of punishment, but a fist just wasn’t ok for me.

The book does has some lovely illustrations of Bobby and Bubba in various situations and I do like the art style of the pictures. The images appear in every story, fitted on pages among the text and help to bring to life the adventures the brothers go on. Some of the illustrations really capture the fun moments they have together and I love any image showing Bobby and Bubba together especially their expressions when coming across a snake or when they are content with their owners, however a few images especially towards the ending don’t fit the stories quite correctly, such as a Big Issue Seller shown standing up when the story says he’s in a wheelchair missing some limbs, and another story showing a dog and a woman’s dress in different colours to how the story describes. But apart from these minor errors these are still some lovely illustrations and I can’t fault them for how lovely they look.

Overall I feel so sad that I am rating this book so low as I really did want to enjoy it and clearly a lot of other people have loved this book and I’m sure fans of Bobby and Bubba will love it too. Most of the adventures are really good and the lessons and morals mentioned are in general good too, however I just can’t enjoy a book that ultimately says it’s ok to hit your own dog, even if that dog was being aggressive towards you at the time. There are so many other ways that it could have been punished and it’s this tale that really makes me disappointed as the rest of the book was a decent read and with some polishing it could have easily been a 5 rating for me as the author’s writing style was in general very good.

Thanks to Literaypr for this ARC of this book. My kid wanted this book as soon as it came through the door. Throughout this book we are following the adventures of two birtish bulldogs called Bobby and Bubba. I have enjoyed going through each chapter with Bobby and Bubba and viewing life through their presectives. Both Bobby and Bubba have thier own quirks which make you laugh and reflect upon what your own animal maybe thinking.
The picture add an extra aspect to the book and are well illustrated.

This is the first book I have read by this author.

I was originally drawn to this book by its gorgeous cover and the fact that I am an animal lover as is my 9 year old son.

This book consists of 15 chapters. The chapters are short in length so possible to read 'just one more chapter' before bed...OK, I know yeah right, but still just in case!

This book is based in the London, England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 , UK 🇬🇧. The bonus for me of books that are partly or fully based in the UK is that I live in the UK and have sometimes visited places mentioned in the book which makes it easier to picture. The fact that I have visited London many times is even better!!! It was so easy to picture many of the places.

This book is written in third person perspective with the main protagonists being Bobby Coombs and Bubba Coombs. The benefits of third person perspective with multiple protagonists are that it let's you see the bigger picture of what's going on and you get to know more characters more, what they are thinking and what they are doing. It feels like you get to see the whole picture and not miss out in anything.

This book is such a charming book for children and adult's alike. Amazon has placed the reading age from baby to 12 years old but I am 36 years old and I have 5 year old twin boys and a 9 year old son who will be 10 in January and we all loved reading/listening to Bobby and Bubba's adventures and looking at the illustrations. The chapters are lovely and short and each chapter can be read as a story/adventure on its own. It was lovely to watch Bobby and Bubba grow through the years and meet there family Anthony, Alexander, Michela and Anthony along with the other characters such as Alfie. The illustrations were fantastic and my children loved looking at them. They portrayed what Bobby and Bubba were doing perfectly so a huge well done to Adam on his fantastic talent. . They also loved the photo of Bobby and Bubba at the back of the book which helped them to come alive during the story. The book is about Bobby and Bubba who are British bulldogs who live with their family in Chelsea, England. They also have a home in Warwickshire, England and we see them spend time in both the homes as well as the surrounding areas. Most of the chapters include morals that they learn during or after their adventures which I thought was a nice touch and good for children to learn that sometimes actions come with consequences. The boy's adventures were fun, unexpected, memorable and hilarious, well most of them, whereas some had more dire consequences such as when Bubba accidently bit Alexander. Anthony described the areas well which helped to bring them to life when I was reading this to my boys. It is well written and the storyline flows nicely from page to page. I would read a few chapters a day to my children and my son Malaki would read a few chapters in between. Some of the adventures that Bobby and Bubba went on include meeting a tramp in the park (Alfie) and helping Alexander to find him somewhere to clean himself up and get back on his feet, discovering an Angel during the tense times of Covid-19, unplugging exercise equipment, discovering where Bobby's dreams come from and learning many life lessons. It is a very enjoyable book and the hardback is a lovely addition to any child's library. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and my boys enjoyed listening. I am looking forward to reading more about Bobby and Bubba so hopefully Anthony and Adam are busy writing and illustrating the next one already!
