I loved this sweet children's book, Where Did Momo's Hair Go by Stephanie Boyer and illustrated by Caroline Hamel.

Firstly, the author created a beautiful little dedication to her own daughter.
What initially caught my eye was the Title and the Cover of the book.
Each page is covered in beautiful colour and illustrations and any child (and adult) reading it will definitely take a few moments to explore each page. I love this because it appeals to a child's intellectual side.
Totally engaging from the beginning - even I wanted to know where Momo's hair went!! The book is funny and I found myself smiling right the way through.
Another bonus in children's books is the use of onomatopoeia, it makes the book more enjoyable for all when you can 'hear' the words.
I loved the simplicity of the theme and the repetitive phrases throughout means the child can join in after a few pages.

Bonus: we are left with a cliffhanger! :D

Cute, sweet book about Momo the Clown and how his hair gets blown away his head! It will be a hilarious read for very young readers! I mean watching his get blown away, person to person, pet to pet, made me giggle for sure. The clown characters can sometimes be scary for very young readers, but Momo is far from that. He is adorable!

Where did Momo's Hair Go?
5 Stars

Where did Momo's Hair Go? is a cute, fast-paced picture book. I found myself smiling throughout. I love the child-like illustrations; they're bright, colorful. The illustrations are attention-grabbing, and the animals wearing Momo's hair are funny looking. Kids will love the repetitiveness. I can easily see this being a fast favorite.

Let’s just say this book is fine but there’s no way it’s going to be entertaining to a 6-8 yo! It’s simple…and younger kids will love searching for Momo’s hair in each illustration and seeing all of the dogs that end up wearing that hair! But there’s not enough plot or story here to entertain an early reader. I can’t imagine this being a book that a younger kid would attach to and want to read over and over but there’s definitely fun to be had with Momo’s hair!

Young children will have fun with this one. Just the right amount of silly, with the fabulous illustrations taking it to a whole extra level.

I loved the illustrations and story in this book. I thought it was a lot of fun, bright, and engaging. I am already seriously considering planning a clown-themed story time session around this book. So much fun!

I really loved this book. It was a simple read but a very silly one and the illustrations tied in so well to the humor. I appreciated the clown was not terrifying as someone who is not a fan of clowns and the way the illustrations gave a childish whimsy to it with the colorfulness and style. I also feel this book would be a fun way to interact with your kid while reading it since there are lines following the hair, different animals that are passing by, etc.

A Fun Read! .
It’s a very fun and easy book to read to kids. It has a catch phrase that makes it engaging and will get kids participating and following the story. It’s fun to guess and see where the hair will land next. Kids will love reading this one. It’s busy, colorful, funny and keeps them guessing, and with visionary illustrations, this makes a great library, classroom or party read.

Wigged Out Adventure

This was a light hearted book wondering where the clowns wig went. It was a surface topic. This story would work at bedtime or anytime of the dat. I think this would read well in a 1:1 basis or in a group setting.

The illustrations depicted the adventure the wig took throughout the plot. You get a variety of scenes and characters.

I received a free copy of this book from Stéphanie Boyer and Chouette Publishing. I am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions are my own.

This is a super fun book for early readers! There were multiple aspects of this book that I really enjoyed:
1. The structure. While rather repetitive, this book's structure is perfect for younger readers. It allows them to latch onto a pattern and fall into the rhythm of the book.
2. The range of different dog breeds mentioned. This gives the book some diversity, but it allows serves as a way to learn about dogs. This is especially important for little ones that love dogs, because they see numerous types of them as they follow Momo's hair's journey.
3. Lastly, the whimsical illustrations. They were very colorful and fun, which worked perfectly with Momo's story. Additionally, there were a bunch of little details (Easter eggs) within the illustrations that kids can recognize and giggle at (i.e. a woman walking her pet pig).
Bravo!

Colorful and whimsical picture book about a clown's wig that gets blown off and onto the heads of several dogs. Overall, very cute.

A hilarious story about a clown's wig flying around town. There's very little text but we didn't mind it. This allowed us to linger and discover all those tiny, adorable details in the colourful illustration. Funny dogs, a pig on a bicycle, and cheeky mice. I enjoyed this as much as my daughter did.

I loved this! The illustrations are so chalky and adorable. The story is very cute, although why did Momo's hair only bounce to animals? This book might have not had a larger message or "point", but sometimes I think children's books just need to be fun and cute!

First, I'd like to give thanks to the author, Stephanie Boyer, the illustrator, Caroline Hamel, the translator, Carine Laforest, the publisher, Crackboom! Books, and NetGalley for the privilege to be able to read this adorable and cute children's book, Where Did Momo's Hair Go? I will share my review to Amazon, Goodreads, and Barnes&Noble, since it seems to have already been released. The illustrations are stunningly cute and childlike. The color schemes are eye-catching and contrasting, sure to catch the eyes of children, and the cover is very good and gives a good tonal idea of the book. I think the dogs, houses, and boat are especially cute.

The story focuses on Momo and his wig, which has flown off and vsits different neighborhood dogs before finding its home again. This is a great book for teaching kids about dog breeds, and will be popular with children who love dogs, animals in general, and fun illustrations. I would recommend for all children younger than five. I can't wait to see more from Caroline Hamel! I can't get enough of the illustrations.

Poor Momo and his disappearing hair!

This is one of those children's books that I think will be a hit or miss depending on the reader's ability to truly bring it to life. The plot itself is simple: the wind takes poor Momo the clown's wig away, and pure silliness ensues. The wig has an adventure of its own, ending up on multiple dogs' heads — and all the while the colorful, vibrant city and its people are on display.

All in all, adorable and bright illustrations + a goofy story make this a great book for storytime.

(Thank you to NetGalley and the author for providing me with a free digital copy in exchange for an honest review.)
