A lyrical and fierce exploration of Scotland's historic relationship with its alleged witches and the way so much has been robbed from these women in the construction of a historical narrative, how much is missing between the dots of information largely presented. Shaw's attempt to fill in these gaps in a way that may honour these women and challenge a society that continues the violence towards them through its mistreatment and erasure of their stories takes the reader on an emotional journey.
Anyone that enjoyed books such as THE FIVE and A GHOST IN THE THROAT will love this.
**also must note that the narration made the audiobook a particularly outstanding way of consuming this book
