Why oh why can't I find a Debbie Johnson leading man! They always have that beautiful blend of protective masculinity crossed with sensitivity. Luke is exactly what Jenny needs when her life has quite literally fallen off a cliff. Just a word of warning, you might want to read this book in the privacy of your own home. Unless, that is, that you are aiming for the red eyed, red nose surrounded by soggy tissues effect because there are parts of this book that will have you inconsolable while others will make you want to sing. So not a good choice for that packed rush hour train.

This is an absolutely lovely book. I enjoyed every page. The characters are brilliant, even some of the ones you didn't think you would warm to, you did! A book about relationships and parenting struggles we could all probably relate to. Very well written all the way through. Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to read this.

Another really wonderful book by Debbie Johnson. I just adore her books and if you haven't read any yet then you are missing out and what better book to start with then this one.

In this book we meet Jenny, who is a single mum, whose world has just been rocked quite literally when a terrible storm makes her cottage fall off the cliff that it is perched on and into the sea. With no where to go her kind neighbour Luke invites Jenny and her son Charlie into his home, his life and his heart.

Also not forgetting the adorable doggo Betty who is a very cute dachshund. This book has lots of wonderful descriptions of some stunning places around the UK. It's about friendship, love, family and starting over.

I loved this book, it felt such a good read and I just needed to know what happened. I loved how it was set across multiple locations - some of which were close to home and some which I knew about so it was nice to really be able to visualise them not only with the description but in my mind already. A great story and I wish we could hear more from Jenny in another book as I felt that I had really got to know her.

Thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for an advance copy of this book in exchange for a review.

Just when you think your day has been the worst day ever your house falls over a cliff! Really enjoyed reading the story of Jenny and her son Charlie and their strange neighbour Luke. Wonderful summer read.

Absolutely loved this book. Jenny was a very relatable character and I enjoyed the relationship she had with her son Charlie. Luke was again a very loveable character.

A wonderfully uplifting novel.

This wonderful book is the epitome of uplifting with its wonderful thought provoking message about what is really important in life. When Jenny’s life literally falls apart in a day she makes an unexpected friend in Luke who lives a more transient life in his camper van which leaves her wondering if that might be the way forward for her too. Along with her son Charlie and Luke’s dog Betty, Jenny and Luke embark on a quirky adventure across England which involves lots of humour along with some soul searching and moving on from the past. There’s such fantastic chemistry in this and great backstories, there was nothing I didn’t love about it, this is probably Debbie Johnson’s best yet and just a perfect antidote to life.

This is definitely a read to take with you this summer, Debbie writes about such believable and delightful characters you really don’t want the book to end

I absolutely loved this book! When Jenny thinks that her day truly couldn't get any worse...it does when her home tips over the edge of a cliff! She then meets Luke who introduces her, and her son Charlie, to a whole new way of life that involves living in the moment. This is a great summer read and I'd absolutely recommend it!
