Yes! Yes! Yes! Lisa Jewell did it again!! An easy 5 stars!

I’m especially pleased because I wasn a bit disappointed by The Family Remains last year as it wasn’t really her usual psychological thriller. But SHE IS BACk, everyone! Go get a copy in July when it’s released if you like thrillers.

Loved the format of podcast in this one. And the POV of two people and not more really gave a focus on the two main women in the story. The similarities and differences of their lives. The relationship that gradually and subtly changes and shifts. The two women having with marital problems and general middle-age blues. The motherhood. The womanhood. …and of course, the confusion and creepiness as you’d expect from a Lisa Jewell book.

Is Josie telling the truths? Can Alix keep herself safe? What are the problems with their husbands? What happened in the past? All the mysteries make this book unputdownable and I read it in two days. And the ending. Wow. I still think about it.

Highly recommend this. Lisa Jewell remains as my queen of psychological thriller!

None of this is true..... How much of this is true?........... What parts of this are true?........ This keeps you guessing all the way through. I was hooked! Josie doesn't normally do much to celebrate her birthday but to he husband Walters suprise she decides to celebrate her 45th Birthday in a nice restaurant. Another guest is also celebrating her Birthday and when Josie gets chatting to Alix in the toilet they discover that by strange coincidence they were both born on exactly the same day in the same hospital. Alix is a podcaster and this leads to her starting a podcast on her birthday twin. As the interviews progress Josies dark past and sinister home life come into focus. Is she really telling the truth? Then she turns up on Alixs doorstep battered and bruised. She starts getting involved in the relationship between Alix and her husband Nathan then all hell breaks loose. I don't want to give away anymore of the story than that. BUT if you read this book you are in for a hell of a ride!! The characters are so well written and the plot is superb. I would highly recommend this to any fans of dark dramatic thrillers!

Wow, this is hands down my favourite of Lisa’s books (and I’ve read them all). Do you know your birthday twin, that is, the person born on the same day as you, living a parallel but often very different life? That’s how Alix Summers meets Josie Fair, both 45 on the same day. It’s a lovely moment though Alix doesn’t expect to see Josie again. Yet she does. Josie’s a fan of Alix’s podcasts and thinks she – and her life – will make the perfect subject matter. Tentatively, Alix agrees to a trial interview, not expecting anything that Josie reveals. Dark secrets don’t adequately cover what Josie has to say... and it’ll definitely make you look at her and her family set-up differently. But as Alix learns more and more, is she aware of how much Josie is involved in her new friend’s life (and home). The story nicely twists and turns and I predict your allegiances will leap from one character to another. One thing is for sure: this is one of the best books I’ve read in 2022.

This👏🏻is👏🏻how👏🏻you write a book! If you like a good Netflix documentary or true crime podcast, then this one is for you.

I have become incredibly picky. A book needs to clip along fast enough so that it’s not wasting my time, not saying the same things I’ve read before. It needs to be juicy with the right amount of drama, but not be self-indulgent and unrealistic. It needs to be smart and teach me a few new words, but not superfluous in its prose to the point that it becomes hard to comprehend. And it needs to have characters that I end up truly caring about and will miss when the book is over.

THIS BOOK DOES ALL OF THAT

I am obsessed. And heart broken that it’s over. I can honestly say I have never been that engrossed in an ARC in the last 3 years that I have been on bookstagram. I need morrrrrre!!!

I mean even the acknowledgments was beautifully written! And I’m not just saying that because she said “thank you Bookstagrammers” 😆😍 Love you Lisa, you may be my new favorite author!

5/5 stars and 11/10 recommended!

OH.MY.GOD. Lisa Jewell has done it again! This book will blow you out of your mind!

None of this is True is a brilliantly written psychological thriller that is nail-biting and full of unexpected twists. Lisa Jewell has once again written a thriller based on characters with complex personalities and incredible character arcs. I've said this before that thrillers usually have shallow characters but Lisa Jewell breathes life into her characters with her captivating writing style.

The story starts when Alix, a successful feminist podcaster, meets Josie, her birthday twin. Both ladies happen to meet at their 45th birthday. Josie feels an intense need to befriend Alix. Josie has her own story to tell the world and wants to be featured on Alix's podcast. Alix takes Josie up on her offer and thus begins a dark tale of gruesome events that will make your stomach churn. Alix, with each podcast recording, finds Josie weirder and weirder. Is Josie hiding something? Is there more than what meets the eye?

If you're into true crime and crime thriller podcasts and documentaries then you are going to LOVE this! I see this becoming thriller of the summer this year! This story is full of twists and turns that you will never be able to guess and will leave you dumbfounded.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with this ARC in exchange of an honest review.

I want to start off by saying that this is EASILY the best Lisa Jewell book I have ever read.

This book was full of twists & turns and it had me truthfully on the edge of my seat! I found it to be really challenging to figure out who was telling the truth in the situation which made me fall in love with this book even more.

If you’re a lover of crime or thriller novels, this is a definite must. I wish I could read it for the first time again!

This book will go down as one of the best psychological thrillers I’ve ever read! It has a compelling premise and even more compelling characters; a disturbing mystery at its core; shocking twists, and a fresh narration method that makes the book impossible to put down.

Thanks to NetGalley, RandomHouse UK, Cornerstone and Lisa Jewell for my ARC of ‘None of This is True’ in return for an honest review.

This is another brilliant novel from this author. So, this is about Alix, a famous podcaster and a woman, Josie, she meets at her birthday party who is her birthday twin . They were born on the same day, same year, same hospital.

We are led along a dark path from Josie,.

Utterly amazing. Just read it.

5 Stars from me

I have read and loved some Lisa Jewell books before but WOW this one is surely her best yet?

The books follows the life of Alix and Josie who meet purely by accident and discover they are 'birthday twins'. But there, the similarity between them ends and Josie (super strange, weird, creepy as all hell Josie) clearly covets the life of her 'twin'.

I was utterly, utterly hooked throughout this book and had severe trouble putting it down - fans of psychological thrillers will not be disappointed.

But this is not just a wham bam thank you mam thriller, the story is complex and clever and it delivers again and again as the dark and arranged tale unfolds.

Great book - highly recommended!

Every Lisa Jewell book gets better and better - this one tops them all! Downtrodden Josie Fair meets her birthday twin, podcaster Alix Summers, while celebrating her special day. When Josie persuades Alix to make a podcast about how she is going to change her own life, Alix is intrigued and is prepared to spend hours researching Josie’s past. When Josie starts to infiltrate Alix’s life, problems beging.
This is a brilliant book which I could not put down. Knowing from the start that there are three fatalities keeps you guessing throughout. A must read.

None of this is true. # NetGalley
Wow what a read. Alex meets someone whilst celebrating her 45 birthday. They are birthday twins. Even born at the same hospital. Josie Google’s Alix and finds out she runs a podcast about women who have survived the marriage to become powerful in their own fight. Josie finds out we’re Alix lives. And asks her to make a podcast of Simone who is about to make changes in her coming life. Now I will not mention anything that’s said during the podcast as I would not want to spoil it for anyone. But believe me you do not want to miss this book. It’s one of shock twist and turns. Somethings. Josie talks about makes Alix squirm with utter disgust. Joist manipulates a dinner invertasion for herself and her husband. Which end in disaster as Alix husband never made it back as he was prone to go on a bender. It’s a tail of someone who actually beloved in what she says. She will not accept that she’s flawed in anyway. I was so shocked at somethings that’s take place.,I never ever expected certain things to happens it’s quite a shock. Ending also a shock towards the end. This is a book that should definitely be read. Lisa jewel has really out donrvher self with this book. It’s a masterpiece and I can not recommend it enough. A MUST READ

Lisa Jewell is what I describe as a quality author. None of her books disappoints. This one is no exception. A brilliantly plotted book with a fabulous storyline and great characters with a brilliant ending.
I have read all of Lisa's books, and they get better and better. An easy five stars.

I loved this! It's one of those books that I was looking forward to reading every night over the past few days. I was instantly immersed in it; there's no time wasted in trying to figure who's who and where they all fit together - you're dropped into their lives and are immediately immersed in the plot. It's a really interesting premise and I loved the fact that Alix was not perfect either - she was very human and her relationship with Nathan was very well done and very real. As for Josie and her story - fascinating, gripping, jaw-dropping. All the peripheral characters were really intriguing too. The story is brilliantly well done. It's one of those books that makes it hard to move on to the next read as I didn't want to leave it behind. I'll be recommending this to everybody!

Alix and Josie met by chance when they are both at the same pub celebrating their birthday, it turns out they were born on the same day and in the same hospital, however this is where the similarities end. Their lives could not be any more different.
Alix is a successful podcaster and live in a huge house with her husband and two kids, Josie works part time as a seamstress and lives in a council flat with her husband and one of her two daughters. Josie sees this encounter as her opportunity to change her life and convinces Alix to do a podcast about her.
Josie shares her life story with Alix and it soon comes to light that Josie has some very dark secrets, and Alix wants to uncover them, though she will regret bringing Josie into her life...

Another great book by Lisa Jewell, you become totally engrossed with the story and cant put it down until it is finished.
