This is is great story. It’s beautifully narrated and very relaxing to listen to. I loved the small town setting and the way Vashti and Sawyer’s relationship developed. They are both very likeable characters who have some emotional baggage to work through, before finding their ‘happily ever after’. The narration is excellent and really enhanced my enjoyment of the book.
Personally I found this book very similar to a lot of other books I've read. It wasn't all that original sadly. An ok story but predictable and a bit boring at times.
So many plot twists and revelations!! My mind was blown!
I think I found a new auto buy author! The audio on this was outstanding
A delight to listen to. A story of love, broken hearts, and how those hearts can be repaired and restored. Beautifully told by Brenda Jackson and I can’t wait to read/listen to more by her.
If you like adult romance of the Mills and boon variety then this will suit you well. I chose to listen to this reading as I wanted something light and easy going but to be honest it was not my taste and I will not be opting for anything quite as frivolous in the future. I am not a fan of casual sex, even in literature especially between characters you are supposed to like. It's not what I call romance, more lust. Others will enjoy this I'm sure but not for me and I found the narrator somewhat irritating after a while.
I was in the mood for a romance book and the sunset on the cover really captivated me. I've read a couple of Brenda Jackson's books before and I was hoping this would scratch that itch for me. I was not disappointed. There was a lot of will they wont they as the characters worked through past issues that made them put their love lives on hold seemingly indefinitely. Fun and sweet read.
Thank you HarperCollins UK Audio, Mills & Boon and Netgalley for the audio copy. I really appreciate the work the narrators had done. It was an long emotional lostening. Brokn hearts are meant to meet but ... that is not enough. They decide not to be together amd goes different ways. But there is something connecting them in the background. Maybe I would prefer was not such a big coincidence but I loved the support and the reations that were described..so true, real and sweet at the end.
