So, I requested this book only for the cover. I thought the cover was great and the guy looked like Charlie Hannah (from sons of anarchy). This is my second regency book, and I was blown away! Yes, this is a third in the series, and no, I did not realize nor read the other two. But I didn't need to, this could be a standalone! And it was so great and I loved rooting for Nik and Hope. Nik was such a a gentleman and so nice to Hope and even her brother. Hope is darling and I love her and how she embodies the part of being a spy but also being a lady of the ton so well! I did get confused with all of the names and the social standings but that was not as much of a part of the plot. Thank you Netgalley for the great arc!
Hit all the feels and had me laughing out loud… Will propel you to your happy place. A must read!… Feel-good romance… Truly heart-warming… Such a cute read!
A Prince Among Spies draws you in with it's romantic but slightly mysterious and original plot. Characters are easy to buy in to and believable. An enjoyable read.
This series has been challenging for me to read and I had hoped that this installment would make things more clear but it didn't.
This is a wonderful Historical romance with a touch of mystery.
The characters are well developed and the story draws you in.
Although the plot is predictable, this is an enjoyable read.
There's a lot to like about this, the characters for a start, as well as their romance and interactions generally. There's not a lot that's believable about the story, but as a fluffy romance it did what it intended. Don't read for accuracy if it's going to annoy you, but the conversations between characters and relationships between them were pretty enjoyable to read and I'm glad I spent the time on it.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This really didn't feel like a romance to me, it is more of an adventure novel for a LONG time until they're kissing suddenly out of nowhere. It was a hot kiss, don't get me wrong, I just couldn't grasp the tone of this book. I did really like the hero, but the book meandered too much for me to stay invested in the story.
I haven't read any other books in the series and maybe this works better if its not a standalone.
thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
⭐️⭐️.5 stars
This is the 3rd installment of The Royals & Rebels Series for Meredith Bond. I read all three and enjoyed them all very much. You can read them alone, however; I would highly recommend reading them in order.
As this is the 3rd and final book in the series, it wraps up the complete story of how the young Royals come into their status. This was my least favorite, I think I was expecting a different twist, but it was pretty predictable. This book was good for the begining. The middle was a little long and draggy. The end wrapped up a little too quickly for me. I love that it ended the open story lines from the previous books.
Thank you to Meredith Bond, WOLD Publishing and NetGalley for a free eCopy in exchange for my honest review.
This is the first book by this author I have read. Even though it is the third book in the series, it can be read as a standalone. It was a lovely read full of adventure and romance. It was a sweet read and I found the plot flowed well and the characters are well written. It was not a full-on spy adventure but still a great read. There was no sex in this book making it a perfectly relaxing and enjoyable read. I will look forward to reading more by this author and going back to read the first 2 in the series. I received this as an ARC from NetGalley and freely give my review.
A fun conclusion to the Royals and Rebels trilogy! This reader thoroughly enjoyed Nik's foray into being a 'spy. With the help of a very adventurous young lady, her older brother, and his steadfast valet, Nik ultimately gets to the bottom of who wants him and his sister dead. It was an enjoyable way of conveying a story that happens over the course of several weeks from 3 different perspectives. In the end, everything works out for the best...well, maybe not for the culprits. They end up becoming personas-non-grata...and rightly so!
Reading all three books in order is the best way to enjoy this wonderfully entertaining trilogy. This reader has become a definite fan of Meredith Bond.
Thanks to NetGalley and Wolf Publishing for granting access to this ARC, which was voluntarily read and reviewed.
In the end everything has its closure. This is the last book in the series and I must clarify that even though I skipped the middle book I understood everything and really enjoyed reading both books
.
It may be true that there are many descriptions and the characters speculate a lot, but the plot works perfectly and the reader gets so involved in the character and his feelings that I stopped caring who was to blame
.
Hope was an incredible character as well as Lady North in the first book, strong characters with character and energy to fight for what they want
.
.
Nikolas is the prince of the small Germanic principality that everyone presumes died in an accident. But actually he is looking for who made an attempt to end his life. Of course Nikolas isn't an expert at living undercover, let alone espionage, so when Hope saves his life, he realizes that if he plans to solve the mystery and stay alive, he needs to stay close to her
.
Hope is advancing in her missions for her brother's spy agency when she sees the world's worst spy get into her target and hinder her work, to make matters worse someone tries to kill him
.
Despite not having anything to do with his affairs, she decides to save him and try to help him, especially if it serves her mission. But in this plot of intrigues, assassination attempts, and the eventful season's routine, things can get complicate for them and bring unexpected feelings
.
It is a very entertaining series, especially for readers who enjoy intrigues, secret codes in their regency romance

Thanks to Meredith Bond and Wolf Publishing LLC for give me a copy of this beautiful book in exchange for my honest and voluntary opinion
Loved reading the engaging and exciting romance story. When Prince Nikolas's life is in danger, he goes into hiding and while trying to spy on his uncle, his life is save twice by a beautiful woman, Lady Hope Clemens. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, full of mystery and intrigue, and a must read love story.
tl;dr
A comfortable romance that very neatly ties up the loose ends from the previous two books.
Thoughts
As usual, royalty in disguise and spy craft are my catnip, so I was very excited to give this book a go. Hope is good at code breaking, bad at socializing, and this is her first field assignment ever. Nik is well-meaning, but he knows even less about being a spy. It comes together as awkwardly as you'd assume, but at least they have each other as they stumble through their first mission. Their chemistry is comfortable, paced out over a month or so worth of story, with very little relationship drama as the assassination plot takes precedence in the story. Those looking for low-steam should be happy to find that there's a brief passionate kiss, but nothing further. Plot-wise, this is a very "comfort food" style story. I don't imagine readers will be too surprised, but the conclusion to this and the previous books is solid. Speaking of, this is the third book in a series, but all three books take place concurrently. You don't need the first two to jump into this one, but the ending covers all three books, so it will spoil the ending of the previous two installments.
I skimmed the majority of this installment and won’t be picking up the holiday novella as I had originally intended. I was hoping for a more interesting twist to the villain than the obvious. The first book was by far the best in the series. The plot was decent but the romances were lacking, even for a chaste stories. I wanted to be more invested in these characters but I needed more depth.
Thank you for the advance reader copy, all thoughts are my own.
Goodness! This is a captivating, intriguing, suspenseful and heartwarming romance. Nik and Hope embarked on a wild, intense but beautiful journey together that left me with a smile. From the first word to the last I was enthralled. I never wanted it to end. Great story!
Prince Nikolas, the heir to the crown of Aachen-Düren, is on the run, when an attempt is made on his life during his stay at Oxford University. He leaves London with only beard and shabby clothes as his disguise. When his supposed death is announced to give him time to uncover the plot, he begins following his uncle, the only person who would benefit from his death. However, he finds himself save by a beautiful spy, on two occasions. Hope Clemens has decided that Nikolas, is the worst spy she has ever encountered, but finds the notion of him being a prince, quite unbelievable. Yet, she decides that keeping him close could prove useful, particularly given that someone is out to cause them harm.
Whilst I enjoyed this story, I did admit to being a bit frustrated that it took so long for them to meet. The story was entertaining but I did miss a bit having not read the earlier two books. The events in the other books aligned with ‘A prince among spies’ and made more sense, if I had read them in order. A great series overall.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
First time reading a book from this author and wow now I can’t wait to backread her stories. This book was wonderful and had a great flow to it. Great characters are written with such depth and turn-paging adventure. This is the third and final book in The Royals and Rebels series.
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and left my review voluntarily.
I didn’t expect this book to be quite comical sometimes, but I loved it. Hope and Nik are brilliant characters in this intense mystery solving romance story. I love that the writer kept me entertained with a mystery to solve and a sweet love story. The book is a terrific page turner filled with excitement and action. It was the thrill chasing enemies to Nik and Hope’s family that had me flipping the pages. Awesome writing from the author. I do wish that Hopes character was older than twenty. If the writer is adamant the character to be a young age, maybe Hopes age could have been hinted at or her age could be a guesstimated by the readers.
WOW!! What a great story. Filled with tension, intrigue and Romance. The characters are charming and engaging. The storyline is easy to follow, even the last of this series, it's exciting, well written and well excuted. Highly recommended.

4.25/5 stars! Nik and Hope's chemistry is second to none. In addition, I love a good spy romance. This reminded me of an old Julia Quinn regency romance with spy intrigue and I was just as hooked by this story. Nik and Hope teaming up together were engaging and fun and I flew through reading this.
