Unfortunately I missed the download deadline and didn't get to read. I'm extremely sorry.
Thank you for the opportunity and I hope to read and review at a later date.
I am very sad to report that I found this book to be extremely difficult to read. Though the premise seems very intriguing, the writing is clunky and the pacing is far to fast. Once I got to the chapter when the author uses an epithet to refer to Roma people, I had to give up. No thanks.
2.25/5 stars! This was a good first attempt for the author. However, the story suffered from a lack of editing and poor pacing. I do think this author's writing could improve with some time and the concept of the story showed potential.
I received an advance review copy for free through NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
I was hooked the second I read the synopsis of the book. While reading this book, I got to feel as if I were part of the seers trying to strengthen and survive against the corrupts. 5/5 great read
I had high expectations from the premise, it's the perfect kind of fantasy novel. But the writing felt laboured and it was hard to connect to the characters. Whilst I appreciate the level of detail the author likes to go into, doing so when interrupting the flow of a scene makes it hard for me to immerse myself back into it
