What a sweet story. The book is mainly Sam and the journalist. But I like that we have so many other interesting characters. The instant connection is not something seen in old West stories. The early days of railroad travel added to the storyline too. I thought the book was a nice refreshing story of life before...

Immediately upon beginning reading, the writing style brings the reader back in time. The family saga and the history shared easily presents potential for more titles in this storyline. Very much looking forward to reading more of this author's work.

This is a sweet and tender romance with an exciting plot. I liked the western setting and Ellie Mae's journalist job. I never read a book where the woman actually worked on articles and the author not just pretended to as the plot device. The characters all had good relationships, and not just Sam and Ellie, I appreciate those details.

The only downside to the book is that it was so good that I was not able to put it down.

Sweet love story set in the 1880's. Ellie Mae has come to town to an article about Sam and his family. There is an instant attraction between the two. A nice look at life in the old west. Book one of the series.

a sweet romance set in the 1880s in Arizona. Ellie Mae is a journalist, but uses her initials only since it is harder for a woman to be accepted. She is writing a piece on those that traveled westward by wagon train, and sends a note to a neighboring ranch to talk about their experiences. A household of boys, with Sam as the oldest, is smitten when he sees Ellie Mae. Good story, and although a bit stilted at times I enjoyed the story and would recommend.

The Corbett Ranch was all a buzz a reporter was coming to talk to Hannah and Will about their Oragan wagon trip. His name was EM Thacher and he wrote historical articles on The people who came on the wagon train to start Prescott Arizona and that included Hannah and well. So to say they were surprised when enemy showed up in our beautiful glory declaring to be the journalist. Although they tried not to let it go they did have to set up new sleeping arrangements. Sam seemed not to be able to take his eyes off the Emma May and it seemed as if she felt the same but throughout her interviewing Hannah and Will secrets will come out that Sam didn’t know and it may change everything but Hannah and Emma may will come up with a plan that may just change it all back. This was a really good book and I hope they have other books with the brothers. I love historical romance and must say this was one of the better ones. It is a happy feel good story in the romance is just a great addition. I received this book from netGalley and the publisher but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.
