A fantastic book. I couldn’t put it down and was so disappointed that my train journey wasn’t longer so I could carry on reading. As always brilliantly written, likeable characters

Thank you Netgalley and Harper Collins for this ARC. Cressida Knows how to make you want to jump in the car and explore Cornwall - Thank you again for this great read

This is the eighth book in the Cornish Cream tea series but it can easily be read and enjoyed as a standalone. If you’ve read any of the others you’ll love this one.
It has the same homely feel to it so that you want to be accepted into the story and be part of their lives.
This book is focused on Maisie’s story - a local of Port Karadow in Cornwall since birth.
She’s already friends with Merry, Finn, Ollie, Max, Thea and Ben so straight away you feel like you know the characters and can get settled into the book immediately if you’ve read any of the others in the series.
I really liked being able to visit some familiar locations experiencing the close friendship that this little group has.
When Colm walks into the iron mongers when Maisie works, you can feel the sparks fly immediately.
It’s clear to us readers that Maisie and Colm would be great together but they’ve got history and Maisie has been hurt badly in the past.
If they are going to be a couple – then a leap of faith on both sides is going to have to be taken.
I really enjoyed reading the multiple dynamics in this book; friendship, romance, family struggles and community spirit - all in spades! I think this has encompassed everything you want from a series book, and there’s also some news at the end which teases potentially another book? No spoilers!
With thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Sorry to say i didnt really like this book. Not sure why. I have read all the books in the series, but the last few books have lost the magic for me. The bus is the anchor of this series and it has been sidelined and moved to a new village. I didnt like Maisie, i thought she was whiny and i found myself bored by her. As for Colm, i didnt like him either.
Just my take and i mean no disrepect but i just didnt enjoy it. Needs to go back to Charlie and the bus.

Oh how wonderful to be back in Porthgollow and Port Karadow, to catch up with some characters from previous books and meet new ones in the form of Maisie and Colm.
As always Cressida McLaughlin weaves a feel-good & heart-warming story set in beautiful surroundings, described so well that vivid images are conjured in the mind’s eye. Populated by interesting and fully-formed characters to whom I automatically warm.
I loved this book. Catching up with characters I am familiar with having followed their stories in previous Cream Tea books, some playing a greater role in this story and some just briefly popping up. I think this book could be read as a stand alone, but is more likely to be enjoyed if the previous books (or at least a couple of them) have been read beforehand, I love the new cover art, but am unsure whether the departure from the artwork synonymous with the Cream Tea series is wise. This looks completely different and I would expect it to be for a new series, but this book remains very much part of the Cream Tea series as previous main characters are prominent throughout this book.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, being back with familiar characters and meeting new ones and re-visiting places that feel very real and somewhere I would definitely love to visit. The author has such a way of writing that within the pages & with the characters feels like a comforting & very lovely place to be.
Perfect feel-good reading.

Oh how I loved this book. I absolutely love every single book that Cressida has written and this one is absolutely no exception.
Maisie is a people pleaser and will always put others first before herself. She would have make her life more difficult and put herself out in order to help other people in any way that she can.
Maisie enjoys her job. Working in the family hardware shop. Just wishing her dad would step back more so that she can fully take charge, she has a gorgeous doggo, lives in the beautiful picturesque seaside town of Port Karadow. Enjoying life and taking photos of the seascape and people around her. Her mum however is miffed at her for having left her job as a teacher and feels like she is wasting her talent in a dead end retails therapy job. So their relationship is a little bit strained.
Enter Colm the boy that Maisie has had a crush on since she was a teenager who had emigrated with his dad to Australia ten years ago. Who is now back in Port Karadow and all of those feelings come flooding back to Maisie once again.
Maisie throws herself into helping the community, running the school quizz for her ex who still doesn't want to let her go and who is a little bit manipulative, taking photos for the fundraising calender, and helping to organise the summer festival which is threatening to be ruined after a storm is going to come in and wreck all their best laid out plans. But everywhere she turns there is Colm and destiny has a funny way of bringing them together at every available opportunity.
It was so lovely to catch up with all the wonderful characters from Port Karadow and also to meet Maisie and Colm and discover their love story. It is full of fun, laughter, love romance and I'd guaranteed to make you smile from ear to ear.
If you haven't read any of the books in this series I really recommend them all

There's comfort in reading this series, they work well alone, but if you're familiar with them it's like being greeted by old friends with a warm hug.
I love the series, and always really enjoy them, but I think it's a genre of book I'm slowly feeling less inclined to read in this stage of my life - due to the predictable road to a HEA, and a lack of representation.

This is the 8th book in the cream tea series but could be read as a standalone. Although recommend the full series for maximum enjoyment.
Was like coming home being back in port kadrow again. This instalment focused on the character of Maisie and also on the return of colm to the port as well as catching up with the other inhabitants and their lives. These stories always have a real feeling of community and camaraderie and what can be achieved when everyone pulls together
Love the descriptions of Cornwall
And definitely somewhere I would love to visit one day.

Love love love. Again the author has pulled me into Cornwall and this port. We caught up with old friends but it's good for a stand alone too as everyone is introduced properly.
Already waiting for the next one.

Having read a couple of other titles in this series it was a joy to revisit Port Karadow and its inhabitants!
Although the trope is well trodden there is nothing quite like a will -they-won't-they romance to read on a summers day (preferably by the pool or on the beach but anywhere will do) and this one ticks all the boxes with some quirky characters to go alongside the romantic settings.

I'm not much of a romance reader but I did like the sound of this one and loved the cover. And although quite a long read it was enjoyable and entertaining.
Love the setting and the characters and love that it is a series and there is more to come. I have not read many of this authors books but I am certainly enjoying the. Apparently this is about the eighth book in the series so I really do need to find some of the earlier ones.
Great book, great characters, great setting and a book to mull over with a hot cup of tea for sure.
Thank you NetGalley and HarperCollins UK, HarperFiction for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

Thoroughly enjoyed this story and the characters are brilliant. Having read others in this series it is a great one to be involved in.

Another wonderful read from Cressida McLaughlin set on the delightful Cornish coast. Despite being the eighth book in the Cornish Cream Tea series it does stand alone as do the others in the series. It's like a massive comfort blanket to return to Port Karadow and the characters that make up this picturesque town. This time the book features Maisie and her returning teenage love Colm but intertwining the many characters from the previous books. . A perfectly light summery read warmhearted with a definite feel good factor despite being slightly predictable at times. .

I loved Maisies story and was throughly engaged in the story. I now want to go back and read the previous books in the series. A great holiday read set in beautiful Cornwall, full of fun and feel good vibes, but also enough ups and doen to kep the reader hooked.

Maisie thinks she has everything she could possibly want, a lovely job in her dads hardware shop, friends, her faithful dog and lives in the wonderful Port Karadow where she can indulge in photographing landscapes, seascapes and occasional people. Her mum thinks her ambitions should be further afield, but Maisie is happy and has no regrets.
Even when Colm the boy she had a crush on, returns a man after flitting to Australia ten years previous, when he said all he wanted to do was stay in Port Karadow. Surely the attraction cannot be there after all this time?
Whilst Maisie deals with feelings that she hasn’t felt for a while, she throws herself into the community. Helping with quizzes at the school, fundraising calendars. summer festival and even ambitiously moving everything when the she can’t control the weather! There is plenty for Maisie to be doing, but it seems at every turn, there is Colm and she perhaps need to find out once for and all, why he is back and why he went away a decade previous.
Full of laughter, love and dollops of romance like clotted cream this is yet again another escapist novel from Cressida. It is lovely always to return to Cornwall and if you have been there since book one, there are familiar places and even more familiar characters who all make an appearance.
This book is the perfect holiday getaway!

I thoroughly enjoyed From Cornwall with Love. It's a lighthearted read & pure escapism. Highly recommend as a feel-good read at any time.

A lovely book to read on a warm summers day, so easy to imagine being on a beach in Cornwall
Several previous characters feature in this book but it doesn’t spoil the enjoyment so I feel can certainly be read as a stand alone book

I haven't read all the Cornish Tea books, but this is the 8th in the series and I did recently read the 7th so most of the characters who featured in this were familiar. With all cosy reads like this, the outcome is obvious from the beginning but the story was very enjoyable. Maisie was a wonderful, headstrong young woman who was true to herself although I wasn't keen on how unsupportive her mother was. A perfect summer beach read!
**Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author for the opportunity to read an advanced e-copy of this book. All opinions are my own **

Everything Cressida writes gives us so much pleasure, her writing is fun, romantic and the characters and settings are well described. This book is set around The Cornish Tea Bus and gives us several different happenings along with romance. Lovely book, well worth reading and giving 5 stars.
Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for this ARC
