Another book set in Port Karadow, following Maisie a 28 year old who has always lived in the town and runs her father's ironmongery shop.
The book has several characters from previous books set in Port Karadow.
10 years ago as a teenager, Maisie had a crush on Colm Caffrey, who suddenly disappeared to Australia with his father. She is rather shocked (although she had heard gossip) when Colm walked into the shop, and immediately called her Winters - his pet name for her.
The book is based in the summer, with lots going on, and Maisie getting involved more with different events, school quiz night, photographer for the charity calendar, and then surprising dropping herself in to helping move a summer festival from a local cove to Port Karadow after adverse weather forecasts would mean it would be a disaster.
And of course young love!
Great escapism to Cornwall.

What a great story. It was nice to have another story from the cornish cream tea series. Even though this story was based in a cove called Port Karadow and not in Porthgolow where Charlie the owner of the cream tea bus and her husband Daniel lived. This story is based around Maisie and Colm.
I their relationship, friendship and the cove.
A great story brining in the characters from the other books to make a refreshing , exciting and thoroughly enjoyable read

This is such a good addition as book 8 in the series. These books just get better and better. I loved the story of maisie and colm and little sprout and now with Charlie expecting a little addition from book 1 sure we still have a few more books to go get. It's such a lovely area to read about and you can really imagine the little towns and all the characters In it.

An absolute joy to catch up with the communities of Port Karadow and Porthgolow, meeting old friends as well as new. I adore these Cornish books from Cressida McLaughlin; as someone who loves going to stay in Cornwall these books take me back to my own happy place every single time.
I really enjoyed getting know Maisie, a true local. Happy to stay where she was born and raised. She has a positive spirit, no matter how hard others have tried to break it, she is full of community spirit and is the person everyone turns to for help. In fact, at times it seems like some people take advantage of her, but she can hold her own and speaks her mind when needed. She takes on so many things, and makes herself incredibly busy but as the story progresses, we see how she thrives and it truly is the making of her.
Maisie has regrets, but mainly she thinks of that one boy, the “one that got away’ so to speak. When a chance encounter reveals he is back in town, can she forgive mistakes of the past? Can a friendship be saved from the wreckage, or could there be the slightest chance old feelings will return?
Although you do catch up with old characters, familiar faces and catch up on their lives, you can read this story if you haven’t read any others. I highly recommend you do though, it’s a gorgeous ‘series.’
Cressida’s writing captures that Cornish vibe so well, I can picture the communities and places in detail. This book feels non-stop, what with all the events and activities Maisie is getting involved in but is also doesn’t feel rushed – the story progresses at a good pace.
Another wonderful book, and as always, I cannot wait for the next!

Another gorgeous read from Cressida McLaughlin. It feels like coming home when we get to go to Port Karadow and Porthgolow again and I loved meeting up with the Cornish Cream Tea Bus gang.
Maisie and Colm were wonderful lead characters in this new story and the chemistry and history between them was lovely. Maisie’s attitude to life was so wonderful to read and I loved how she was so committed to the community she obviously loved.
The descriptions of the Cornish seaside were so vividly detailed, I could almost hear the waves and smell the salt and vinegar. The perfect read for a sunny day.

Another fantastic read, so great to be back in Port Karadow and to be reunited with so many familiar characters, places and institutions such as the Cornish cream tea bus!
This book features a new character Maisie and her relationship with Colm!
Idyllic scenery, family dynamics,a sense of community, friendships,an evolving love story and not forgetting all the adorable pets particularly sprout and Thor!
On reading this book you are instantly transported to cornwall in all its glory and could quite easily be walking around the town and beach area visiting all the trades that have assembled, sampling the delicious food and buying locally made crafts!
A wonderfully evocative read that I would highly recommend
Thank you netgalley for this early read

My thanks to Netgalley for my copy of From Cornwall with Love, the perfect summer read. This is Cornwall at it's best. I almost thought I was there. Other than Maisie's mum these were very relateable characters and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I did think the sea rescue was going to be one over dramatic romantic cliche too far until it became clear it was all about a blow up octopus and it was actually absolutely exactly right.

I love being back at Port Karadow, meeting new characters and old ones, I feel at home! One of my favourite series, it's heartwarming and always makes me smile. Recommended!
Thank you to the publisher who provided me with an e-copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Five stars obvs before I've even opened the cover - why? - It's a Cressida McLaughlin book and its the eighth book of the amazing Cornish Cream Tea series, which incidentally I've loved every single one of.
There's absolutely nothing to dislike; Cornwall is gorgeous, I alway love catching up with old friends and meeting new, and the stories are always heartwarming and are guaranteed to make you smile.
Will Maisie ever get it on with her long term crush Colm, who's recently back from Australia?
Having been on board with this series from the first book I've loved the community the author has created and the wonderful characters of Port Karadow and Porthgalow.
From Cornwall With Love is another firm favourite from McLaughlin who's still in the top spot as my #1 go to author.

We’re back in Port Karadow for the 8th book in The Cornish Cream Tea series and it is still feeling as picturesque and welcoming as in every book. As with the others this could be read as a stand alone if you’ve not read any of the others but there are quite a few characters we’ve already met that pop up in this which I know fans of the books will love. I know I certainly did, feels a bit like catching up with old friends and we all love a visit from good old Gertie!
This book is focused on Maisie’s story - a local since birth, she’s already friends with Merry, Finn, Ollie, Max, Thea and Ben (iykyk) so straight away you feel like you know the characters and can get settled into the book immediately. I really liked being able to visit some familiar locations experiencing the close friendship that this little group has and all of their four-legged companions - isn’t Sprout just the cutest!!
When Colm walks into the iron mongers you can feel the emotions fly, not just the spiders, and I found myself willing them to get together. You can see how good Colm and Maisie would be together but she’s been really hurt in the past so it’s going to be a big leap to start to really trust and believe in herself to a certain extent!
I really enjoyed reading the multiple dynamics in this book; friendship, romance, family struggles and community spirit - all in spades! I think this has encompassed everything you want from a series book, topped up with one very special piece of news that we may get to hear more about in another book?! 👣 Not sure about you but I already cannot wait for my next trip to Port Karadow! Thank you Cress for another wonderful book!!!

From Cornwall with Love, was an enjoyable read. It's always fun to meet characters old one's in a familiar set up and meet some new ones too. The story and all that only the male lead was more of a miss than hit for me.

This is the eight book in the series so does refer to other characters and businesses then have been introduced in pervious novels, all living their 'best lives in Cornwall'. Howpever it is intended to be readl as a stand alone novel.
Mazie Winters, 28,works in the iron mongers, her dad's shop. Heather her sister lives in New York while she still lives in Port Karadow beach, Cornwall. ⛱️ with Sprout the dog. Never with mum and her dad, who has given her the shop as his arthritis has got to hard to manage.
Is now organising the summer festival, trying to get the town to sign up for stalls.
Ollie want to make a surfing calendar and wants Mazie to take the photos-her hobbies and shows it on Instagram, and loves getting involved in local projects.
Lives in cottage she'd done up herself.
Jeremy work in the school were Mazie used to work as a teacher. Wants to him in a quiz.
Parker nan's 80th is coming up but still works weekends in the iron mongers.
Colm Caffley, comes back from America, left with no explanation after spending a decade away.
Buts is still a suffer boy. But something has gone wrong with his job there, and Mazie is determined to fund out what.
Marcus Belrosse lives with Finn who is a chef.
Thea, asks if Colm could pose for the calender.
Could Mazie 'manage the ironmonger's, organise the quizz and chip, be the photographer for Ollie charity calender and commit to who week of festival busyness in July'?
The naked calender, will give at sneak preview at the festival. If it's all done I time!
Will this town come together for the festival and will it be successful, and will Mazie find true love and will Colm finally settle in Cornwall?
Lots of character to keep you entertained. With relatively short chapters, that make it easy to follow.
Deferent characters talked about in each chapter, new and old characters brought together successful.
So if your a fan of the series you will love the book!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers folr giving me a complemelntary digital copy of this ebook in exchange for a full, frank and honest review. All opinions expressed are completely my own opinion and opinions expressed are completely my own.

I fell in love with the cover and then I fell in love with this compelling, heartwarming and escapist novel.
It made me smile, travel to lovely places, and root for the characters.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine

This is another cracking book by Cressida McLaughlin. It's the 8th in the series but can easily be read as a standalone. The bonus of having read some, or all, of the previous books in the series is that some of the much loved characters re-appear in this one. There are also new ones of course. The main characters here are Maisie and Colm. Set on the picturesque Cornish Coast where the locals are all lovely people and the community is close and friendly. I loved that aspect with everyone pulling together. Maisie and Colm are both very likeable characters and Maisie's little dog, Sprout, is adorable. This is a relaxed and perfect summer read. My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC for which I give my voluntary review.

Yet another fabulous book by Cressida continuing the Cornish Cream Tea series. Just the book for reading in the garden or on the beach in lovely weather.

I love this series so much - the close knit community, set in beautiful little Cornish seaside towns and just everything about it.
This book was no exception - we got to know Port Karadow OG Maisie a lot more and learnt her back story, including Colm Caffrey, "the one who got away" who left the country when they were 18.
Now, ten years later, Maisie is running her Dad's Ironmongers and feels she is letting her parents down by not having bigger dreams or wanting to leave the place she grew up in and loves.
Suddenly Colm is back in town and Maisie wants to know why. And why he left in the first place with no explanation or goodbyes.
With help and encouragement from her closest friends (the amazing characters from the previous books), Maisie sets about taking on tasks to prove to herself, her parents and Colm that staying in Port Karadow is the right choice, whilst also trying to get to the bottom of Colm's mystery.
As always, a fabulous book with a great story that has you hooked from the start.
I love everything about Port Karadow but especially the lovely people that live there and come together in the best and worst of times.
It is also home to the best named dogs ever! 🥰

This book is the 8th book in the Cornish cream tea series. It has a new style of cover, but it is very much part of the series, although it can be read as a standalone novel. It is a fantastic series though and you are missing out if you haven't read the other books.
This book focuses on Maisie and Colm, although the previous characters also feature heavily in this book. It's always lovely to catch up with them.
This is a lovely heartwarming read, perfect for holiday reading. Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for my ARC.

Perfect summer read, back in Cornwall in the cream tea series. Beautifully descriptive, lovely community feel catching up with old friends. Brilliant. Thank you netgalley for the advanced copy

This is the 8th book in the Cornish Cream Tea series. It brings back some of the previous characters but can easily be read as a stand alone novel. As usual there is the glorious Cornish coastal community and this novel, a summer festival and charity calendar photo shoot to organise. A real feel good summer romantic read which is highly recommended.

I really enjoyed this seaside tale of community spirit and a returning friend with the promise of more. A well written, very descriptive book with the lovely Sprout as an added bonus.
