Absolutely brilliant. This is a great summer read. Cressida takes you back to Cornwall for the eighth visit. Although her characters from the other books appear it can be read as a stand alone. Her story telling has you feeling as if you were there watching from the sidelines. I loved it and recommend From Cornwall with Love. Read all her other books as well, you won’t be disappointed. Thoroughly recommend.

I love this author & love the Cream Tea Series of books. An absolutely delightfully enjoyable book that I heartily recommend x

This is the eighth book in the 'Cornish' series. We meet characters from previous books as well as new characters whom the story revolves around. It works fantastically in the series but it works equally as fantastically as a standalone book. It has everything you would want in a summer romance read - sun, sea, surf and a calendar shoot!

A welcome return to Port Karadow! All my favourite characters, the Cream Tea Bus and a tantalising romance. Altogether the perfect Summer read.

Thank you both the team at netgallery and also the publishing team, for letting me have a chance to enjoy this book early.
I absolutely adored this story of Maisie and her love for her town. It was such a heartfelt story of realising that you are enough.

I have read all of the Cornish Cream Tea Series and this is my favourite one by far, I absolutely loved it.
It’s all focused on Maisie Winters, a lovely character who ends up reuniting with her teenage crush Colm(who is my favourite character of all the Cornish Cream Tea books) and we follow their new relationship in the lovely setting of Port Karadow.
It was great to have some previous characters in the story and to catch up with them. The setting was lovely as usual and I’m hoping and praying there will be more in this series.
Thanks to Netgalley, Harper Collins UK, Harper Collins and Cressida McLaughlin for an advanced copy in exchange for an unbiased and honest review.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
I absolutely loved reading this book.
The books always make you feel as though you’re there between the characters, a part of the community that always pulls together and helps each other out when needed.
This story had a mix of new and old characters. Maisie and Colm’s story was beautiful, the descriptions gave a sense of beauty and magic.
I highly recommend this book.

Oh my goodness, I absolutely adored this book! Tears of joy were shed and everything and I’m not even embarrassed to admit it! Maisie and Colm’s story was beautiful to read and I loved the way that characters from previous books in the series were intermingled in this story. The idea of the summer festival was a brilliant way of bringing characters from both towns in the series together as well. Just an absolute joy to read, this series never loses its sparkle, each book just gets better. Beautiful, summery escapism at its best.

This is the 8th book in this series, and although they are all set in the same place, and there are references to other people and businesses etc, they can also be read as a standalone.
Thoroughly enjoyable series that are very easy to read - doesn't require much thinking, which is exactly what I need sometimes.
Loved getting to know all the characters, and learning their lives and backgrounds.
Would definitely recommend.

I really enjoyed this book about Millie who has been brought up and loves every inch of Port Karadow,. she leads a fulfilled life running her fathers ironmongers (much to her ambitious mothers disdain) and being a strong member of the community. When her teenage crush returns from living 10 years in Australia her emotions arise again. Millie feels that her simple life is nor enough for Colm. I had read a previous book in the series.
The book is one of a series though you would not have needed to read any prior and it sat well on its own. I would like to read more of the series in the future.
I don’t want to give any spoilers but I did especially like the community feel of the book.

Maisie Winters loves her life and her home in Port Karadow. She is effectively running the ironmonger’s shop that her dad started, she has a rescue dog Sprout, and time to spend on her photography hobby. Many of her friends and family have moved away but Maisie wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
Then her teenage crush Colm Caffrey returns from Australia and throws Maisie into a spin.
Colm is everything she remembers him to be and more but with Maisie at the heart of so many village events does she have time for the distraction he presents. Is it ever a good idea to rake up the past or is that the only way Maisie will be able to see her future.
A wonderful story with great characters set in a beautiful location. Summer in a book!
Although this is part of the Cornish Cream Tea Series of books it can be read as a standalone. However, if you haven’t read the other books in the series, I would highly recommend you do. They are such feel-good heart-warming stories that will leave you with a smile on your face.

This is the 8th book in the Cornish Cream Tea series and it's just as sweet as the rest.
This time we read Maisie's story, following the return of her first love to Port Karadow.
We re-visit characters from previous books and it's good to see how their lives and relationships are going.
This is a great, easy beach read.

Another lovely cosy read from Cressida McLaughlin. Although this is part of a series, it can easily be read as a stand alone book. I have read a few of the others and it was nice to catch up with some of the other characters.
My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book.

It was lovely being back at Port Karadow and those Cornish cream teas. Loved Maisie and her dog and how she enjoyed working in her family's shop and stood her ground doing and staying where she loved. Having tried being a teacher she made her choice despite her mother wanting her to teach. The arrival of Colm back from his travels after 10 years Maisie realised she still had feeling for him. I loved how the story unfolded and seeing the romance between Maisie and Colm develop. Another great read from Cressida.

Nobody does better escapism stories than Cressida and to be transported to Cornwall was idyllic. The descriptions had me feeling as if I was living in the same village, feeling the sun, the waves and drinking coffee in the cafe. A joy of a book loved it.

There’s no place like home. There’s no place like Cornwall… Maisie Winters has everything she could ever want. She lives in the idyllic Cornish town of Port Karadow, has a jammy job in her dad's shop, adores her rescue mutt, and has time to take the landscape photos she loves. While her best friend and sister left the town to chase big dreams in London and New York, Maisie stayed – she wouldn't leave her favourite place for anything … or anyone. When her long-time crush, Colm Caffrey, returns from a decade abroad, old feelings start to resurface. Maisie begins to ask herself if there might be one big thing missing after all?
My Opinion
This is the latest book in The Cornish Cream Tea series but it could be read as a standalone - although it is far more enjoyable if you know the background to the characters. I read this book over a few days to try and prolong my enjoyment - I have yet to be disappointed by a Cressida McLaughlin book.
Maisie was such a nice character with a lot of community spirit and it was lovely getting to know her and catching up with some familiar faces. This was such a feel good book, that will leave you wanting more. This is a series that I would love to continue for a long time - it is very nice to return to visit old friends.
Rating 4/5

Another very enjoyable read in this delightful Cornish series, but also works as a stand alone novel. Lovely coastal setting, easy companionable evenings with friends in the local pub. I’ll definitely read the next book too!

Amazing! There was so much heart in this book and I was captivated right from the start. Being back in Cornwall with all the gang was great, I loved catching up with Charlie and Daniel and finding out their news. It was also great to see everyone come together, old friends and new all supporting each other. Maisie is such a great character, she is seen as such a strong and positive person yet fails to see herself that way, always thinking that she’s less than everyone because she hasn’t gone off and explored the world and seemingly reached for the stars, but what she doesn’t realise is that she was already a star. People are drawn to her, her simple, her helpfulness, her heart and she was already right where she should be. Having some really great friends to help make her realise this certainly didn’t hurt. Her and Colm together were meant to be, and I loved how they both had teenage crushes and felt the same again instantly ten years later. Seeing Colm walking around with Thor the kitten draped around his shoulders was certainly the most cutest thing ever!
I loved this from start to finish, and I very nearly didn’t start it as I couldn’t take my eyes off the fabulous front cover, if ever there was a scene I wished I could just step into and it come alive it has to be the cover of this book. Sheer summer perfection.

Another beautifully heart-warming novel from Cressida McLaughlin! I always come away from her books feeling lighter on my feet. This is summer escapism at its best.
I fell in love with the characters from the first page. The descriptions of Port Karadow are stunning and make for the ideal summer location. It left me craving a trip to Cornwall!
Though this book is part of a series, it can easily be read as a stand alone.
A must-read for summer 2023.

I have read this series so far and number 8 did not disappoint! Maisie Winters loves the idyllic Cornish town, Port Karadow, her job running the family’s ironmongers business, her friends and dog. Her mother is concerned that her ambitions are too small but Maisie is content helping her community and indulging her interest in photography. This is until her teenage love reappears after 10 years in Australia and makes her question what she wants for the future and whether or not she can trust him with her heart.
It was lovely meeting the same characters again and seeing their relationships move on.
Just an enjoyable feel good escapist read.
