The author writes the memoir of her grandfather who escaped communist Yugoslavia to Canada when he launched his business. Not a lot of background of Tito's country. Written in a very simple language made the reading not enjoyable. Comparing Covid restrictions to living under a dictatorship made me - a person, who lived in one of the countries under a communist regime - uncomfortable. It means that the author has no idea about this part of history.
