This book had us laughing so hard. I live in a house with two boys, so it was everything they thought would be funny. One of my kids said "Poor Pretzel. Popping off like that probably isn't fun.", which led to her brother laughing even harder. Super cute.

Pretzel is a pug who loves to pop. Pop in this case means fart. If you’ve ever had a pug, you know they are very good at this. And this story is about Pretzel popping off so much that it annoys her family and they don’t want to be with her until she stops farting. I don’t like this book. Farting is a natural body occurrence and the fact that the family does not want to be with someone until they quit. Farting is a natural bodily function and I think by having this lesson that if you fart too much nobody wants to be around you is a very bad idea. Secondly, this book is way too long. It has parts where it rhymes which I’m not sure if it’s accidentally or meant to be, but then added to the parts that don’t rhyme. It’s a giant mess. If someone wants a book about really stinky dogs that love to fart check out Walter his books are much better both in art style and in story.

This was so cute! The little girl I nanny loved it and thought it was absolutely hilarious! Personally, I don’t think I will ever be too old to thing that breaking wind is funny. Especially a cute little pug named Pretzel!

Commonly when I review kids lit, I focus on the lesson that book teaches. This is not the case with this kid’s book. Pretzel The Popping Off Pug is nothing short of fun. Kids will ask to read the story on a daily lap time and will have a favorite section. The illustrations are equally fun, especially the fart cloud. A perfect book for kids and would be appreciated by a “poptastic” pup owner.
Thank you Harriest Rodis, BookBuzz Net, and NetGalley for the pleasure of reading this book.

Pretzel is an adorable little Pug with a stinky bad habit and the humans around her cannot tolerate it any more.

What does she do that is so repugnant? Pretzel, only thinking of herself, pops off any time, any where, leaving an unbearable smell that the family simply cannot stomach. She realizes the seriousness of her behaviour when her family retreats from her and she has to decide is her popping off worth losing their love and affection? Is she able to think of someone other than herself?

The illustrations are amazing. They are full of emotions and expressions. I love the life lesson that Pretzel the Pug learns...to utilize your manners and have respect for other people's feelings. It's a book that kids will love (adults too) and I highly recommend it.

This is a cute and funny little book that the kids both enjoyed. As most young kids, mine find “popping off” to be a funny thing. I didn’t realize there were so many names for it!

Super fun and relatable, especially for littles who are learning about respecting other people and how their manners, and how they act, can affect others!

This is a book that children can relate to. I thought they had a fun way to help teach that popping was better if done privately and not sharing. The term popping was new to me. I think the illustrations were spot on and the expressions were great. Pretzel learns a valuable lesson about manners and respect for other people. I recommend this book.

Cute book. Would definitely buy for my daughter if it is printed as a board book!

🌱THE EXCELLENT
~ I LOVE the illustrations of the naughty doggie & it’s ‘oops’ faces🤣
~ A book about farts (poopsies) 🤣
~ A story that children can also learn from (and EXTRA FARTING ADULTS!)

🪷🦖
This was a super quick & easy read about a pug that gets carried away with her farting & slowly comes to realize that her family doesn’t like it. She’ll need to decide if she will change her ways, OR if she will continue her super farting ways. NOTES to ALL the farters! 🤣

🌱THE MEH
~ Writing is somewhat disjointed 🤔 couldn’t quite put my finger on it

Pretzel the Pug has a very bad habit, and her family has had enough. Pretzel only ever thinks of herself, but when she drives her family out of the house, she has to think about someone other than herself to get them to come back.

Pretzel the Pug has a habit of popping off at the worst times and in the worst places. Her family has finally had enough of her terrible smell, and to make her family happy again, Pretzel has to think of someone other than herself.

I read this book to my 3 year old toddler and she loved it. Such a funny read!

This book fell a little flat for me. The story was too wordy and it didn't keep my attention so I don't know how it would keep a c child's attention except for the fact that it talks about "farts". The illustrations were average, some cute.

Loved this book!! Its cute and funny. The title of this story is what got my attention. I was wondering what popping off was because I have never heard of that term. Now I do and it makes the story very funny and cute. I think the children who reads this book would love it and would have a great laugh. I am still smiling while I write this review. I remembered my pug use to do this all the time. Gave me great memories of my favorite dog I had when I was little.

I received a free copy of the book and is voluntarily writing a review

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me access to this fun children's read! Pretzel the Pug is inconsiderate of her people as she likes to make a stink. The illustrations were great, and the plot was simple and fun. Children would really enjoy the humor and grossness of Pretzel's stink. I enjoyed this book and think children and families would enjoy this book too!

I read this to my kids and they really enjoyed it.
The message of the story seemed a bit strange tho, that noone will play with you if you fart too much. 😂

This is very fun and cute! Great artwork and a funny story with a lot of alliteration and rhyming. I have a pug who farts a lot, and I'm sure my nieces and nephews will love this book.
