I did not finish this book - I got to the 50% mark and I still was struggling to get into the world and characters. I wanted to like it and have since tried to pick it back up and get into it, but each time I get around the 50% mark it just isn't for me.

I can't say it's terrible, in fact I think some will like it very much. The writing is not terrible, in fact it's good. This is due to no issue with the writing or plot or author. I think this is solely a me thing - I found it difficult to get into. Some fantasy books are just that way and it is nothing to do with the author or the writing.

The premise is good. So my rating is a three because I have DNF'd it twice and I honestly don't hate it.

This was a well developed Fantasy story with great characters.

I did struggle with the editing though, with some of the sentences mixed up making it very difficult to read at times.

I did not finish this book. It may have been were I was at that moment with a new job and online classes, but I was struggling to get into the world. I didn't dislike it. I wanted to understand, but I just couldn't get myself to read it. I am certain others will. And I am sorry I could not.
