GOOD. NESS. ME!
This book is 100% Classic Coben and is a super fast unrealistic yet utterly gripping thriller.
David was a likeable character and he maintains his innocence throughout, and we might like him but do we believe him?
If you can suspend belief and just roll with it then this is a fast and furious thriller that you'll find hard to put down. It's all action from the very beginning and packed full of twists, turns and red herrings.
My thanks to the author, NetGalley and Random House for an ARC in return for an honest review.
Harlan Coben’s latest thriller delivers the fast-paced, twist-filled narrative his readers expect, but requires a healthy suspension of disbelief for full enjoyment. David and Cheryl Burroughs once had a typical suburban life with their young son, Matthew, who had a port wine stain on his face. Everything changes one night when David is found covered in blood and convicted of Matthew’s murder based on a neighbour's testimony. Now serving life in Briggs Penitentiary, David is consumed with guilt for not protecting his son, even though he insists he's innocent.
David’s life takes a turn when his estranged sister-in-law, journalist Rachel Anderson, brings him a photograph showing a boy who resembles Matthew. Driven by the hope that his son might still be alive, David orchestrates a daring prison escape. As he evades the relentless FBI agents Max Bernstein and Sarah Jablonski, David uncovers a web of secrets and lies. Rachel, who has always believed in his innocence, joins him in the search.
Coben fans will recognize familiar faces like the renowned lawyer Hester Crimstein in this gripping and suspenseful read. The novel features a mix of villains, including the wealthy mob boss Ross Sumner, and David finds unexpected allies among friends and family. This engaging thriller is a satisfying read for Coben’s devoted audience and anyone who enjoys a high-stakes mystery. Thanks to the publisher for the ARC.
"I Will Find You" by Harlan Coben is a gripping thriller that unravels the dark secrets hidden beneath the surface of seemingly ordinary lives. The novel follows Simon Greene, whose search for his missing daughter leads him into a web of deceit, betrayal, and unexpected revelations.
Coben's narrative is fast-paced and suspenseful, keeping readers on the edge of their seats with its twists and turns. The characters are complex and well-developed, each with their own motives and secrets that add layers to the gripping plot.
Overall, "I Will Find You" showcases Coben's talent for crafting intricately plotted thrillers that delve into the depths of human nature. It's a compelling read that delivers on suspense and keeps the reader guessing until the very end.
Another great read from the author and highly gripping. It's action packed and never lets up. Some good twists to keep you guessing too.
A standalone book from most of Harlan Cobens most recent series, we meet a father who has been jailed for five years for the murder of his own son. He keeps to himself and passes time by in jail until he gets his first visitor in a long time who shows him a photo that gives hope that his son is alive and we join him on his journey for truth.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and Harlan Coben is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors, a lovely recall to Hester Crimson from his other book series as well. I did not see the ending coming and it was so well written.
A great crime suspense book that is full of twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Very fast paced with some great characters.

Harlan Coben's I Will FInd You is full of suspense and thrills, twists and gasp-out-loud moments. A father in prison for the death of his son is given evidence that the boy may still be alive. He plans an escape, determined to find out what really happened the night of the murder, and to find his son. Brilliant!
I am such a big fan of Harlan Coben but this one completely missed the mark for me. I usually love their work because I can get sucked right into the narrative as everything is so believable - not the case here.
The book was completely ridiculous, as was the break out and almost everything thereafter. This killed the immersion for me.
Coben’s work, and contemporary thrillers, just need to be more believable to keep me interested
.
Having said that, the overall plot was interesting
Believe it or not, this is my debut Coben, and now I'm wondering why I haven't picked him up before.
Gosh, what a page turner. And what a writer. I think I picked a good 'un to get a taste of this author.
Serving a life sentence for murdering his young son, David Burroughs is innocent. Five years into his sentence, his sister-in-law finds evidence that there is no doubt his son is alive. The only way he can prove his innocence is to break out of prison and to then find and save his son.
This is a tense and white-knuckle ride and utterly unputdownable. It's well strategised; it has a very credible unfurling and reveal, and is gripping right to the end.
Obviously, I'm going to pick up many more Cobens!
This book captivated me from start to finish, weaving an irresistibly compelling narrative. The author's writing is a masterpiece of precision, every word carefully chosen, creating a taut and streamlined experience. The characters are not just part of a thrilling storyline; they are intricately developed, revealing their humanity with flaws that make them authentically relatable.
What sets this thriller apart is the author's ability to infuse realism into the genre. Despite the high-stakes tension, the characters feel genuine, navigating complex emotions and situations. The pacing is a symphony, with ebbs and flows that keep you on the edge of your seat, torn between the desire to unravel the plot's mysteries and the reluctance to hasten the end, savoring each moment.
As a reader, you're skillfully guided through the twists and turns by a master storyteller. The author's command over the narrative is a marvel, ensuring that every page is a delight. In the hands of this wordsmith, the journey becomes as enchanting as the destination, making it a wonder for readers to relish.
Absolutely fantastic read as always.
Coben does not disappoint, full of twists and turns and investigation. I throroughly enjoyed this read.

Another amazing book by Harlan Coben, keeping the twists and turns coming throughout the book, which makes you want to keep reading.
David has been imprisoned for life for the murder of his 4 year old son, who was bludgeoned to death with a baseball bat. David cannot remember doing it but he does sleep walk and he had been drinking the night it happened so he didn't fight the conviction.
5 years into his sentence, his ex sister in law arrives at the prison unexpectedly, as David refused to have any visitors, and she shows him a picture where the little boy in the background looks like David's son Matthew, as he would be now, sparking the question, was Matthew really murdered that night, and if it wasn't him, who was it and why.
David now realises he needs to get out of prison to find his Son. This visit starts a chain of events that involves a range of allies to get to the truth
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good mystery story, or have watched or read Harlan's books before
Enjoyable and entertaining. This is in parts a little unbelievable, butit is fiction and the fast pace more thanmakes up for that. Coben is skilled in taking a situation and seeing where the twist could be. A good read for a rainy afternoon's indulgence
Another Harlan Coben great... This booked had me caught up in the storyline immediately.
To be set up for murder for your own son, when you know you haven't killed him, but how do you prove it when the evidence is stacked against you.
Finally after a lengthy prison stretch a break comes from out of the blue but will you, can you get people to believe you.
I Will Find You - what will you do to find your missing son?
Thanks to Netgalley, Harlan Coben and Random House UK, Cornerstone for an ARC in return for an hinest review.
Excellent fast-paced read which reels you in from the first page and keeps you hooked until the very last page. I must admit there were a few times when I was on the edge of my seat.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced read copy of this book in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
Harlan Coben is another one of my go to authors, the minute he has a book out I watch for it, I have never been disappointed and I can honestly say I wasn’t disappointed with this one.
Full of Mr Cobens twists and turns leading you one way to find it’s a red herring. Imagine being sent to prison for the murder of your 3 year old son. Something you can’t remember doing but you were the only one in the house and you have had a few drinks.
This is what happens to David Burroughs who has so far served 5 years of his sentence, he has refused to see any visitors he tries to keep himself to himself as much as possible but the crime he has been found guilty of doing means there will be trouble.
The only real evidence that had the jury find him guilty was his baseball bat buried in the garden, a neighbour had said she saw hime burying it.
But when his sister in law comes to visit she has a photo she wants to show him. On that photo is a child the right age and the splitting image of David’s son. But how can that be he saw the body in his sons bedroom. One way or another he needs to get out of prison and go looking to find his son. If it’s not him he hasn’t lost anything as he is already serving a life sentence, but if it is his son he will get him back and prove he is innocent.
I was really rooting for David the pace was fast, the story engrossing I read it on one sitting unable to prise my eyes off it.
I would like to thank #netgalley and #CornerstonePenguinRandomHouse publishers for an eARC of this novel. All thoughts and opinions are my own and have not been influenced in any way.
My first Harlan Coben book in ages! This is a standalone book and isn't part of any other series by this author. David Burroughs has been imprisoned for the past 5 years for the murder of his son. He's maintained his innocence all that time but when he's shown a photograph of a family at a theme park with what appears to be his son in the background, it seems that it's time for the truth about what really happened.
This was a twisty-turny thriller which had been gripped from the first page. I immediately connected with the main character, David, although a little part of me thought he must have done it. The suspense started from the beginning with David planning to escape from jail to prove that his son was really alive. Was it a little far-fetched? Of course it was, but it was none the less a gripping read and I was right there with David as he tried to clear his name!
The storyline ploughed its way through to the end, tying up David's story nicely and giving a great conclusion. Would recommend!
Another corker of a book from this one, a race against time and a battle of wits define this heart-pounding thriller that leaves you breathless until its electrifying conclusion.
What a gripping story! A real page turner that kept me guessing through its twists and turns - one to read!
