This is not the first Coben book I have read and probably won’t be the last. I didn’t enjoy it as much as some of his earlier works and I found some of the scenarios really difficult to believe. However, it moves along at a good pace and kept me interested until the last page. The novel is a great example of a holiday read.
Started off exciting storyline in the first third of the book, but soon it depended into very unbelievable storytelling. I liked the dynamic between David and Rachel but the chat between Max and Sarah made me cringe. I felt it was a really cheesy good cop/bad cop dialogue which made me want to skip over their parts. I didn't really want to finish this book but I kept going to see how it would turn out......predictably as I expected Im afraid.
The whole book felt rushed in parts, and long and drawn out in unnecessary parts, with what felt like chunks missing. I was disappointed as I like Harlen Coben but this book missed the mark for me.

I Will Find You by Harlan Coben

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow there’s a reason Harlan Coben is such a big name amongst thriller writers.
David is in prison for murdering his 3 year old son Matthew, but he has no memory of committing this heinous crime.
Five years into his sentence his sister-in-law visits with a photograph of a little boy who looks a lot like Matthew. Matthew would now be 8 years old so they can’t be sure, but could his little boy still be alive?
You get thrown right into the heart of the story from the first page which had me hooked and I honestly couldn’t put it down.
It’s hard to believe this is a 400 page book because it’s so fast paced. The short chapters definitely helped and the flitting between following David and the FBI agents on his tail.
The tension was high and I felt like I was holding my breath from start to finish.
Definitely a thrilling thriller.
A great crime suspense book that is full of twists. a cat and mouse games that will keep you on the edge of your seat! Very fast paced with some great characters.
Great paced book, with lots of twists and turns to keep me fully engaged.
Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.
This was my first Harlan Coben book, but having seen quite a few of the Netflix and tv adaptations I was immediately drawn to this book. It definitely did not disappoint! and I look forward to reading more of this authors novels.
I took to this crime novel immediately wanting to know what, why and how this had happened. I liked the main character David Burroughs who had just accepted his fate, and was serving a life sentence. Despite knowing he couldn’t have committed the murder, but he couldn’t remember anything. Then five years into his sentence a visit from his sister-in-law Rachel brandishing a photo of a little boy changes everything.
The rest of the story is fast paced full of twists. A must read, I couldn’t put it down.
Usually, Coben's novels start off in the paradise of suburbian America, only to carefully deconstruct the glistening surface and show the ugly truth beneath. Not so in this case. First sentence: "I'm serving the fifth year of a life sentence for murdering my own child." That is... different. We do have a fast-paced thriller on our hands with shifting loyalties, mysterious enemies and a serious shortage in reliable facts. Maybe it is not his best work, but it is a good read!
I have to say despite not reading many books where the main character is male I always love Harlan’s books.
David is a father convicted of murdering his own child 5 years ago, or did he? And is he even the father?
This new story keeps you turning and turning the pages so quickly. David has friends who will do anything to help him with his plan to escape prison and find out the truth.
A definite must read for any fans of Harlan new or old.

Wow !!! Holy smokes. 5 stars 🤩
David Burroughs was once a devoted father to his three-year-old son Matthew, living a dream life just a short drive away from the working-class suburb where he and his wife, Cheryl, first fell in love—until one fateful night when David woke suddenly to discover Matthew had been murdered while David was asleep just down the hall. Half a decade later, David’s been wrongly accused and convicted of the murder, left to serve out his time in a maximum-security prison—a fate which, grieving and wracked with guilt, David didn’t have the will to fight. The world has moved on without him. Then Cheryl’s younger sister, Rachel, makes a surprise appearance during visiting hours bearing a strange photograph. It’s a vacation shot of a bustling amusement park a friend shared with her, and in the background, just barely in frame, is a boy bearing an eerie resemblance to David’s son. Even though it can’t be, David just knows: Matthew is still alive. David plans a harrowing escape, determined to achieve the impossible–save his son, clear his own name, and discover the real story of what happened. But with his life on the line and the FBI following his every move, can David evade capture long enough to reveal the shocking truth?
Yes he's getting better and better.

Harlan Coben is one of my favourite authors. I love his twisty crime novels. However, I was almost put off reading this book in the first few pages with the depiction of the brutal murder of a small child. I hate reading about violence towards children.
In the end, I was glad I persisted with this book. It starts with a man who had been convicted of the murder of his child having to break out of jail in order to find the child he believes is not actually dead. The jail break premise felt intriguing, refreshing and a bit different for Coben.
I enjoyed the story, although I thought the ending, which tied everything up in a happy, neat little bow was very unlikely considering all the trauma the characters had experienced throughout the book.
The first I’ve read by Harlen Coben and I did enjoy this fast paced psychological thriller. However at times i found it quite repetitive and boring. A decent read overall
If you want gritty psychological drama then this is for you. Unfortunately it was too stomach churning for me and I didn't finish it. However it is well written.
Gripped from the first page and couldn’t put it down…perhaps less twists and turns than Cobens usual books but it was certainly excellent!!! Loved it thanks!
All I can say to this book is WOW! Exceedingly well written with such clever twists and turns along the way. The book was super fast paced which kept me as a reader really engaged.
A fast paced action thriller with tonnes of twists and a lot of heart. You can't help but be immediately swept up in the story of David who's son may or may not still be alive. I was gripped from the very first page. This was my first time reading a Harlan Coben but I will definitely be returning. Cannot recommend this enough.
Another great read from Harlan Coben. I've always been a fan of Coben's books and I'm always eager to dive right into the next one and this was no exception.
This story follows David who has been tragically and incorrectly convicted of killing his son. But David is innocent and has always believed that his son is alive. David receives a visit from his ex sister in law who believes that a photo she now has in her possession from a chance encounter at a theme park, includes a shot of an older Matthew, David's son.
What follows reads like a fantastic action blockbuster with David breaking out of jail to find his son and bring him home.
Another triumph for Coben.
Five star read! Another incredible book from Harlan Coben. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and loved David’s determination throughout. Brilliant characters, brilliant plot.
If you want a good read with lots of developments throughout until it reaches its unpredictable conclusion, then this is your book.
David is in jail for the murder of his son - this he cannot remember.
And so it begins - his sister in law visits him in jail one day with a photo - showing evidence of his son being alive..
What can he do - break out of jail - investigate.
And so it begins.
Read to the very end - you will need to....

A man is serving life in prison for the murder of his 3 year old son. He maintains his innocence but accepts his fate until one day his sister in law shows him a recent photograph with his son in the background. Could it be his son is still alive and if so who was the dead boy?
I enjoy Harlan Coben's work and have read a lot of his books. This is an enjoyable read and it kept my interest throughout. If you like Harlan Coben's previous novels then this is one for you.
I will find you by Harlan Coben
It has been years since I read a Harlan Coben book but I fancied a change from my usual reads and this didn’t disappoint. In this thriller David wakes up covered in his son’s blood. He knows he didn’t murder him but the evidence says otherwise and so he is in jail. A few years into his sentence his sister in law visits the jail and changes everything. This was a proper page turner and I loved that it kept me guessing until the end. An exciting thriller.
