I Will Find You is a rollercoaster of a read that to be honest you do have to go with quite a lot of things being coincidental and unbelievable but if you can do that you are in for a great ride.
David has been in prison for five years for murder, the murder of his four year old son. He says he didn’t do it but don’t they all say that? He has had no visitors for the five years of being locked away, not because he’s not had any but because he doesn’t want to see anybody. That is until his ex sister in law turns up to see him and because he’s not signed the form for that year indicating no visitors he has to go and see her. She shows him a picture taken at an event and in the background there is a young boy the spitting image of David’s son. David needs to find this boy and reunite and free himself of this error. How will he do this from prison though?
This was a game of cat and mouse from the start, the FBI duo were hilarious and made a great team and made the reading of their parts very easy. The storyline was at times unbelievable but it was that good I went with it. No stone was left unturned and the ending answered all questions. A really decent read….not my favourite by this author but still up there.
I would like to thank Netgalley and Random House UK, Cornerstone Century for this ARC I received in exchange for an honest review.
I Will Find You is the captivating new thriller from Harlan Coben, a book that features an intense and fast-paced story that will keep you wanting to read more.
David is currently serving a life sentence in a maximum-security prison, but as it turns out he’s an innocent father convicted of the murder of his three year old son. With the loss of his son and subsequently his marriage he’s tormented by his grief and considers his punishment fitting given he didn’t protect his child.
But all that changes after an unexpected visit from his sister-in-law. She shows him a photograph taken by a friend on vacation which features a young boy in the background, a boy with a very distinctive birthmark. It’s Matthew, David’s son, and this proves he is still alive.
Determined to get his son back David breaks out of prison and sets out to uncover the truth behind the story of what happened that night, setting into motion a change of events that will find him chasing down an eyewitness from his trial, evading the FBI, and even going toe to toe with a crime boss. He’s on a reckless mission to save his son, but will he get a happy ending?
Another absolutely fantastic book by this author. I couldn’t put it down the twists and turns keep the reader enthralled. Suspense upon suspense.
Wow! What a book! Probably one of Harlan Coben’s best to date.
Main character is David who is in prison for the murder of his 3 year old son Matthew. He can’t remember doing it, but there is so much evidence against him and he has a habit of sleep walking and doing things in his sleep due to night terrors, that whilst he knows that he would never do anything to harm his son consciously, as it was done overnight it and he was the only one there, it must be him. Then one day, 5 years after his conviction his sister-in-law visits him in prison with a photo that makes him question everything and that turns his life completely upside down.
This novel had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish, the characters and settings were very believable / easy to image and it was very difficult to put the book down. I can’t wait to see what Harlan writes next!
Thank you to Random House UK, Cornerstone & NetGalley UK for providing me with an ARC copy of this novel.
This book is a real page turner it grabs you from the very first sentence and it does not let you go until the last page. Excellently written.
A classic Harlan Coben - exciting, twists and turns, bent cops, good cops, baddies galore and a satisfying ending.
I was feeling fed up as I have broken my ankle - but this book has delivered a dose of enjoyment and entertainment.
Top read!
The plot was very far fetched but I still had to keep reading to find out what, who and why so I think that must be down to the writing. So definitely not my favourite Harlan Cobden but equally not my last of his as I can’t resist testing the imaginative storytelling of this author.
Where to even begin with this book! Let’s go with the first 2 lines of the book that had me intrigued and hooked quicker than any novel has done before!
This book is PACKED with action! Absolutely crammed with important pieces being uncovered, subplots that don’t feel relevant until you see everything unravel, and characters you can get to know enough about quickly to keep up the pace. This story was incredibly well written. My watch notified me my heart rate increased and a couple of points 😂😂 I experienced a range of emotions with this book given the nature of why our guy was in prison.
The partnership of Sarah and Max though - that’s what kept the investigatory/FBI presence entertaining. What a team! I laughed out loud at some of their antics.
Our author, Harlan Coben, is up there with my favourite authors. I had no idea who he was until Netflix started showing these amazing adaptations - The Stranger, Stay Close etc - and as a believer of ‘it won’t be as good as the book’ I delved into his books before any more shows were released.
This book made me realise his novels are set a Harlan-universe, where some characters from previous books appear - Win Lockwood (loved him and honestly answered my phone with ‘articulate’ for about a week) and Hester Crimstein from Tell No One. This is maybe old news to those that have read his novels for years, but for me this really excited me! Like finding Easter eggs 😂😂
I loved this book - I was kindly given an ARC from NetGalley but due to sickness, couldn’t finish it before the release date, but as soon as I felt better, reading the remainder of the book was my priority.
5⭐️
This was a good story, I would have liked a little more fleshing out of the characters and story, it seemed quite a short book. That saying, I read it quickly and enjoyed the twists and turns within it.
It's been about a year since I read the last Harlen Coben, so was delighted to get a preview read of this via NetGalley.
A terrific book; I raced through it and it kept me enthralled all the way through.
David Burroughs is in jail charged and convicted of killing his only son, Matthew. He maintains his innocence but no one is listening, not even his wife and family! 5 years into his jail term his sister in law visits out of the blue and produces a blurred photo, which shows a young boy of what would have been Matthew's age at a fair/event.
The picture gives him hope and changes everything and he starts to plan his escape and how he can prove his innocence again and prove his son is alive.
You must read the book to see what happens but you won't be disappointed. It's a great page turner and I read it late into the night/early morning!
I enjoyed reading this twisty-turny book, though I did think the plot was very far-fetched, which ruined some of my enjoyment of the book as a whole. The supporting characters were entertaining, and kept me guessing until around 3/4s of the way through the book.
Another fantastic mystery/thriller from Harlan Coben! Once again he does not disappoint. A brilliant storyline with plenty of twists and turns.
Thank you to Harlan Coben and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Really enjoyed this book, multiple twists and turns in a story where David escapes from prison and is searching for his son. David was imprisoned for his sons murder.....
The twists kept me guessing and wondering what characters were involved and how this would turn out in the end.
Classic Harlan Coben - enjoyable and thrilling!
Thanks to #NetGalley, publisher and author for an ARC of this book #IWillFindYou
Having already served 5 years for murdering his child the story follows David through the trials of being imprisoned for something he has no recollection of doing. When his sister in law throws a spanner in the works so begins a high paced action thriller in pursuit of kidnappers and murderers.
The storyline is perhaps a little too fanciful for me to have immersed myself completely but nevertheless an excellent read from a long term favourite author.
Buckle in for a fast-paced thrill a minute ride! I will say you will have to really suspend disbelief to fully enjoy this novel. I Will Find You is far fetched to say the least! David Borroughs is five years into a life sentence for the brutal murder of his three-year-old son, Matthew, when his ex sister-in-law Rachel shows him evidence that Matthew is still alive. This piece of evidence could prove his innocence and so he escapes prison and goes on the run to prove his innocence.
There’s a strong cast of supporting characters who on the whole added depth to the story, but I found FBI agents Max and Sarah’s banter tedious and irritating! I appreciate humour in a crime thriller, but I found it impossible to take them seriously. The plot is complex and intricate and I’m sure Coben fans will love this high-octane, energetic, action-packed suspense thriller. Even though this book requires a suspension of disbelief, Coben is a master of writing twisty thrillers, so despite a couple of minor irritations I found this book to be a fast-paced, fun read.

This was my first book by Harlan Coben. I have watched and loved a few of the Netflix series based around his books so I was sure I would enjoy this twisty thriller and I was not disappointed.
This book is written in an easy to read and captivating way. From the very first page I was gripped in the story and was flying through the pages. Despite the story line being a bit unrealistic I was immersed in the book and rooting for our main character as he tries to escape from prison and prove his innocence.
A brilliant, twisty thriller that is great for a few hours of escaping reality!
The story starts in prison where It’s been five years since David Burroughs was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his three-year-old son Matthew. He has always protested his innocence but he has paid a high price with his marriage ending and leading to him cutting off all family. His ex sister in law turns up with a photograph which turns his world upside down. He has to break out of a high security prison to discover the truth.
The thing with Harlan Coben's books is that the plots are over the top and unrealistic, but the writing is so good that you can easily suspend disbelief and root for the characters. I loved this book and read it in a matter of days.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
A fast paced story that is a bit too unbelievable. That said, it is enjoyable and addictive. Davis is serving a life sentence for a crime that he is adamant that he didn't commit. When evidence appears that his son is still alive he is determined to find him. The action just doesn't stop in this book. My first by this author and definitely not my last.
After serving 5 years in jail for murdering his 3 year old son, a charge he denies,David receives a visit from his wife's sister Rachel. totally out of the blue. She brings with her a photo taken at a theme park at a company "Awayday" .She is convinced that a boy on the picture is the supposed victim of the murder.
Identified by a facial birthmark,David comes around to believing Rachel and sets out a plan for escape , he is assisted by the Governor of the prison , who happens to be his uncle and believes in his innocence.
Once the escape is discovered the FBI set out on David's trail, but assisted by his lawyer and Rachel he sets about tracking down the person holding his son's hand on the photo.
Many twist as per usual with Harlen's novels and ending up with a surprising ending..
A gripping read from start to finish - I couldn’t put it down! I also loved Max and Sarah’s interrogation techniques - they need a spin off series!
