I didn't finish this book because I just couldn't connect with the characters and was finding it difficult to read. The concept was great though and I hope the characters found happiness.

Just about the most beautiful story I have read in a long time! I loved the different parts to the story and following a decades old story whilst building a new one.

I loved this story, well written and I loved the pace of it. I loved the fact that it was two stories intertwined perfectly, I am sad that we won't get to hear more from our two main characters though as I feel very invested!

I really, really wanted to love this one. The premise was amazing - and this is one of my favourite covers of the year. I did like the grandparents story, and how this ended in terms of her family. Noelle was fantastic. I think her character arc was thorough and relatable - I really enjoyed watching her grow. There were some important lessons in this book which I LOVE in a romance book. I didn't quite feel the connection of Noelle and Theo beyond their sexual attraction. I would have liked to see some flashback/context to their younger years and how Noelle misinterpreted his actions for what they were!!

You, With a View - Jessica Joyce

This story was an easy read with a charming storyline and plenty of tension and sexual energy. I really enjoyed the characters and the brilliant chemistry that they shared, but I also enjoyed the relationship between Noelle and Theo's grandpa Paul, as Noelle is coping with her grief of losing her grandma and I thought this was beautifully done. I cannot believe that this is Jessica Joyce's debut as it was just great, and I cannot wait to read more from this author in the future. Thank you Netgalley, Random House UK and Transworld Publishers for the e-arc in return for my honest thoughts and opinions.

Noelle is struggling with the loss of her Grams, whom she was very close to. Noelle thought that Grams had shared everything with her until she uncovers an envelope full of love letters and photos of Grams and a man who isn’t her Grandpa! Noelle uses social media to trace the mystery man who just happens to be the grandad of her school enemy Theo.

Paul (the mystery man) promises to tell Noelle the story of his and Grams’ romance if she agrees to go on a 2 week road trip which Grams had planned to take with Paul for their honeymoon...but Theo is coming along too! Paul provides more letters from Grams like breadcrumbs throughout the journey and Noelle gets to see her Grams through a new perspective.

Theo has a strained relationship with his parents and his grandad helped to raise him. Theo is under a lot of pressure through work and this trip gives him the opportunity to spend some quality time with his Grandad and get away from his stress. Theo is also excited to learn more about Kat (Grams) who was never a secret in his family.

This is a past paced, enemies to lovers story. The chemistry between Noelle and Theo is present throughout the story. Their banter and sarcasm towards one another is really enjoyable. The relationship Noelle builds with Paul is really sweet too. He understands Noelle’s loss and grief and is supportive and kind.

A great summer adventure with a little bit of naughtiness.

Noelle is suffering the loss of her grandmother and discovers a letter between Noelle's grandmother and her previous lover. Noelle has no idea who this is and so posts a video on Tiktok to discover his identity.

What ensues is a great adventure between Paul, her grandmother's first love, Theo and Noelle as they re-live the adventures of a love that was never allowed to happen, whilst creating their own journey and writing their own futures.

This was a lovely summer romance, filled with lots of adventure and some steamy scenes. Perfect for reading on the beach.

Y’all this book was high on my most anticipated romance list of the year!
Jessica is a new brilliant voice in the genre because for this to be her debut…
she is going to go places with phenomenal writing and compelling storytelling.

You, With a View by Jessica Joyce was sensational, utterly charming and incredibly sweet!

I was incapable of doing anything other than reading this book from the moment I received it!

She has crafted some amazing characters inside this book.
Noelle and Theo are so loveable, their relationship and dynamic is entertaining and adorable. I didn't want to say goodbye to them at the end.
Real, smart, sexy, emotional and funny, starring characters whose journey I became so invested in and whose happiness I was rooting for throughout was insane.
(In a great way)
The banter was strong and wonderfully done.
I really enjoyed Jessica’s story telling and the wonderful, life-like characters she created.
With stellar steam, and laugh out loud moments you could ever want from a romance, while deftly balancing the emotional depth you didn’t even know you needed.
And the romance in this book was simply *chef’s kiss*
I’m over the moon excited for romance readers to get their hands on this extraordinary contemporary romance.

I have not one bad thing to say about this book.
If you want to swoon, laugh, and maybe even cry then look no further.

And the cover art!!! I can’t wait to buy a copy to sit pretty on my shelf.

A beautifully-written romance that also delves into heavier topics of grief and family expectations. I loved the chemistry between Noelle and Theo.

Such a cute and spicy read with some top tier romance tropes! Noelle and Theo were highschool rivals who didn’t expect to run into each other during Noelle’s investigation of her recently deceased grandmother’s past. After discovering some photos and letters in the attic, Noelle wants to know more about this secret romance from her grandmother’s youth and begins a journey which brings her closer to her grandmother than she’s felt since her passing. It was emotional to see how Noelle’s grief affected her and how desperate she was to connect to her beloved grandma, and rekindle their secret-sharing tradition in this way. Learning more and more of Paul and Kat’s shared history on their honeymoon road trip was sweet and I loved Paul’s character, with his mischievous side and his sense of adventure. This road trip/storytelling element of the book was incredibly heartwarming and I felt it nicely balanced out the conflict between Theo and Noelle and felt like a great way to bring this pair together and to leave their rivalries in the past. Through a good dose of forced proximity and only-one-bed, as well as some octogenarian matchmaking, this pair soon found themselves opening up to each other and falling harder and faster than anticipated - though the path to true love never did run smooth and there are some bumps in the road for them. I did like that their drama didn’t stem from miscommunication and explored differences in personality and expectations whilst showing what a little understanding can do when someone doesn’t act how you expect.
With lots of spice, reminiscing and bickering this was a great read and definitely one for romance lovers out there looking for a solid plot and a bit of travel.
I received a free copy of this book. All views are my own.

Thank you to Random House UK for allowing me to review this unputdownable book. I laughed out loud, I cried into tissues and probably experienced every emotion in between.

The author is an incredible story teller, both of the world and the characters that she created. Noelle felt so utterly relatable and Theo, well, he's just Theo. I loved the premise and the moral of the story, that not everybody is living the life that they project.

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good rom-com or a life journey of a road trip.

This was a simple, fun, easy and quick read. The perfect type of book for your holiday, beach, pool kind of read. This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and I would read more of their work.

The E-Book could be improved and more user-friendly, such as links to the chapters, no significant gaps between words and a cover for the book would be better. It is very document-like instead of a book. A star has been deducted because of this.

The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you very much to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

3.5/5.

I enjoyed reading the ARC of this debut novel (Thanks so much to NetGalley and Penguin Random House!!). It was delightful and fun. Theo and Noelle were rivals in high school, but their paths diverged afterwards. Now Theo is a highly successful executive & co-founder of a travel site. He's been in Forbes, featured in a '30 under 30' article. Meanwhile Noelle floundered - she had a disastrous internship with a photographer who undermined her confidence, her beloved grandmother has died, and she's been laid off from a menial job and had to move back into her parents' home. When she finds a photo that indicates that her grandmother was contemplating eloping with an unknown man and going on a roadtrip through the Southwest, she creates a TikTok to track down her grandmother's former fiancé. Of course, that man is Theo's grandfather. Thus starts a roadtrip through some gorgeous areas in California, Arizona, and Nevada. Theo and Noelle both engage with his grandfather (Paul) and along the way their bickering changes into chemistry. Of course Noelle is hiding how far she's fallen, but Theo is also holding a secret close. Will they make it as couple or crash and burn when they get home? It's a lovely trip with some great steamy bits and loads of humor. There are serious themes. too - grief and self-esteem and finding the courage to go live life your way. I look forward to more from this author.

Quotes I liked:

I definitely didn't have this on my bingo card.

I drag myself back to my room - which is next door to Theo and Paul's - completely dickmatized.

...our guide remind us shows the passage of millions of years, makes me feel like a speck of dust in the infinite stretch of time. How lucky that this is the moment I land in. How temporary everything feels when surrounded by a landscape that was here long before us and will be here long after we've gone.

Remember, nothing lasts forever. You have to hold on to the good thins, knowing you may be on borrowed time with them. And with the bad, recognize that eventually it will pass.

I read this as one of my first books of the year, and I was immediately convinced it would be my favourite book of the year. A road trip, a second chance, and a journey you just can't forget.
This story was absolutely fantastic. Joyce writes with such authenticity and warmth, and her love story was slow and beautiful. Noelle is one of my favourite heroines of all time, relatable, sweet, and completely unwilling to give up on what she believes in. When she finds her late grandmother's love letters, she sets out in a journey, and run right into Theo, her high school nemesis. Their chemistry is completely off the charts, and their banter feels natural and as warm as the cover. Joyce also uses social media and tiktok is such a fun natural way, it is obvious it's a platform she understands and loves.
The relationships in this novel, whether platonic or romantic, were written with such love and understanding of the characters. I finished this book with tears in my eyes, wishing I could forget it just so I could read it again for the first time! I'll pick up anything Jessica Joyce writes, even if it's written on a napkin.

I really loved this story between Noelle and Theo, they had a great dynamic and I loved the banter between them. I also loved Paul and that he was someone in Theo’s corner, but also the relationship he developed with Noelle as well.
This was a story or grief, rediscovering your passion and falling in love and I loved every page.

"You, With a View" by Jessica Joyce is a heartwarming and emotional read that explores the themes of grief, coming of age, rediscovering oneself, and family.

Noelle Shepard is grieving the loss of her grandmother when she discovers photos and letters hinting at a forbidden love in her gram's past. She creates a viral TikTok video appealing for information and manages to track down her grandmother's secret love, Paul, who offers to take her on the honeymoon road-trip he and Gram planned but never got to go on.
The catch? Noelle's high-school rival, Theo, who is frustratingly handsome, has to come, too.
The characters in the book are well-developed and relatable, with Noelle's grief and longing to connect with her grandmother again written beautifully.
The chemistry between Noelle and Theo is off the charts, and their banter and tension are so well done and it makes for an enjoyable read all together.

Overall, "You, With a View" is a must-read for anyone who loves a good romance novel with a dash of family drama. It's a perfect blend of emotions that will leave you with a smile on your face and a happy heart
Apparently this is a debut novel and one that I think it’s a well done story that will build quite a fan base in the near future.

Oh my goodness. This book! Rivals to lovers and multigenerational romance, with a really compelling and well paced romance storyline. Words cannot express how gorgeous this story was. Every character was loveable and so well crafted that I felt like they were real people.

One of the best books I’ve read in ages and I absolutely devoured it! Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and author for the ARC.

This was a short and sweet romance that held lovely family values. I felt the high school rivalry was focused on a little too much (10 years is surely enough time to move on from this) but the back-and-forth dialogue between Noelle and Theo felt authentic.
