I am a complete Ali Hazelwood fan now; thank you very much to the publishers and NetGalley for converting me!
Perfectly paced. Great romance. Brilliant friendships. Fantastic banter and chemistry among characters. Stepping into Elsie and Jack's world was so comforting at a time where I have been truly needing some escapism. I found myself gravitating back to this book at any free moment I had.
I loved the honest portrayal of what it's like to be careering in academia and the struggles of being a woman in STEM. I also really enjoy Ali's writing style – the scientific puns, pop culture references and just how smoothly the writing and dialogue flows.
This is my second Ali Hazelwood read and I am now desperately collecting them all! :)

As much as I've enjoyed Ali's previous STEMinist titles, I feel like she levelled up with Love Theoretically. She dove deeper into her heroine's character and the source of her people pleasing as a defense mechanism, as well as how she's adapted that to make a living in her side hustle as a professional girlfriend. Added to this is Ali's trademark snark and insider's look into the world of academia. Once again, she's delivered a stellar romance but with a little bit more in Elsie and a refreshing take on the fake dating trope.

Loved this book. Ali Hazelwood always nails it. The romance is perfect. Love the female MC and the slow burn chemistry build up. Some laugh out loud moments too. I always binge Ali Hazelwood in a day and this was no different. An autobuy author for me.

This was great! I am now officially up to date with Hazelwood's novels and it feels amazing. This was just as good as her others, and I love a man so accepting of emotional Honesty. The way he admires and respects Elsie is amazing, and yes he was very short-sighted with his actions surrounding the Annals article, he came to his senses and hopefully in the future he unites the theorists and experimentalists
.
I related a lot with Elsie, both with her use of masking to get other people to like her (being wanted is so relevant in today's world, where attention spans are zilch), and with her self-doubts. I am so happy that she came into her own, especially surrounding her family

I love the authors use of STEM in her books. A slow start but I ended up loving it. A fun book and I read it in 2 sittings. Definitely a go to author for me. Thanks for the ARC!

This was my first Ali Hazelwood book, and I absolutely loved it. I can’t wait to read more of her work.
If you’re looking for a romantic, intelligent read that will grip you from the first chapter then this is for you!

5 STARS!!!! Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for the arc copy. I cannot state more than I loved Jack turner-smith so much. He is a king who knows what he wants and I lived for it. I enjoyed every moment of this and if you are looking for that classic Ali hazelwood romance then it delivers. Also the fact that olive and Adam make an appearance made me so unbelievably happy. Please read this just to feel utter joy!

I love the Stem books by this author and yet again this one did not disappoint . I found it slow to start but by the end I throughly enjoyed it.
Highly recommended

Love, Theoretically - Ali Hazelwood
8/10 ⭐
Ali Hazelwood never fails to write addictive and swoony romance books! This book had a great spin on fake dating as it wasn't with the MMC. I really liked how it played out, especially as it was Jack’s brother involved and the relationship Elsie had with him actually seemed really sweet and special. The miscommunication aspects of the book felt valid as she was only trying to protect Jack’s brother, and didn’t end up frustrating which we love.
I loved that this book felt more sweet and was well and truly a 'he fell first' situation. No clue how Ali had me swooning over a blonde MMC, but Jack was honestly such a dream 😍
Elsie was a great character, but I’ll admit I didn’t feel greatly connected to her. I don’t know if it’s because she felt similar to Ali’s previous FMC’s, or because of the academic setting.
I did enjoy learning more about academia, but I would love an Ali written adult romance written in a different setting in the future.
This was still so so enjoyable and I flew through it so quickly because of how much I was enjoying it! Still recommend it if you enjoyed her past books, I just found it didn’t hit as hard as The Love Hypothesis did.

"Love, Theoretically" by Ali Hazelwood is an absolute gem that captured my heart from the very first page. This delightful romantic novel is not only beautifully written but also filled with charm, wit, and an irresistible storyline.
Ali Hazelwood's storytelling prowess shines through as she weaves a tale that is both heartwarming and intellectually stimulating. The characters are incredibly well-developed, and their quirks and vulnerabilities make them feel like old friends. The protagonist's journey is relatable, and I found myself rooting for her every step of the way. One of the aspects that truly sets "Love, Theoretically" apart is Hazelwood's ability to seamlessly blend humor and depth. The witty banter and laugh-out-loud moments are balanced with moments of genuine emotion, creating a rich and fulfilling reading experience. The author's exploration of love and relationships is thoughtful and nuanced, making the novel feel both authentic and uplifting. I highly recommend this book to anyone seeking a feel-good, intelligent, and thoroughly enjoyable romantic novel.

I loved this book so much. It had lots of representation and intersectionality, alongside an insight into academic (and male dominated) physics life. Some confusion, betrayal and romance, our protagonist learns how to be herself rather than fitting in with what those around her expect her to be. What seems like a quirky romcom has actually had quite a profound impact on my understanding of who I am, and how that fits with who others expect me to be. Highly recommended.

I can't even begin to explain how much I enjoyed this book.
I knew going in there was a high chance I'd love it, The Love Hypothesis was a 5 Star Read for me previously and I often have good luck with repeating authors, but her debut novel had nothing on this book. I was drawn in from the very beginning and I couldn't put it down - kindle kept in my pocket to read on the train, on my lunch break, the second I stepped through my front door.

Ali Hazelwood has done it again- I loved this book! The writing was very easy to read and enjoy.
Jack and Elsie were such great main characters with great chemistry. I particularly loved how much Jack loved Elsie- so cute !
I won’t say much more because I don’t want to spoil it but if you like Ali Hazelwood books or you’re intrigued by the blurb you’ll really enjoy this one!
This is a great rom com with a bit of spice. A really enjoyable read I’d definitely recommend.

I'm really enjoying these 'women in STEM' novels by Ali Hazelwood. It sends a message to young women, that STEM careers is an avenue that's not closed off to them.
Throw in some engaging characters and you're on to a winner.
I loved Elsie's quirky manner even though her desire to please everyone was a bit concerning. However, this was made all the sweeter when she eventually spoke up with honesty.
I loved that she was so unaware of Jack's attraction to her, and that she found it hard to believe when that information was shared. Equally, I was intrigued by how besotted Jack seemed with her.
Jack's seemingly perfect family life was far from what you'd expect and there were times when my heart broke for him.
Although Jack and Elsie's story is not necessarily what you'd expect, Lai Hazelwood thoroughly convinced The reader that they are meant to the together!
An enjoyable read for sure!

I absolutely loved this book. I am a big Ali Hazelwood fan and loved how much Jack loved Elsie!
Also, loved the Olive and Adam cameo x

Ali Hazelwood does it again!! I’m obsessed with the characters she creates. It’s so easy to relate and see myself in them which I love!

Ali Hazelwood doesn't miss. I won't say this is entirely original - if you've read The Love Hypothesis, it feels very similar - however, Elsie and Jack have so much charm and chemistry it doesn't even matter. If you love a romcom with witty banter, long looks and sweet spice, you need to add Love Theoretically to your TBR.

While I did enjoy this book and the characters of Jack and Elsie when I was reading it I feel like it's quite forgettable, I feel like it works on the same level of the past 2 Ali books I've read. I enjoyed it more than Love on the Brain but less than The Love Hypothesis (especially loved the Adam and Olive cameo)
I probably wouldn't read another Ali Hazelwood book now because they seem to be all the same, just different characters which is hard because I love the STEM aspects of her books and she writes it really well. I rated it a 4 because I liked it and I would recommend it to people if this is the book they were looking for.

I think this is a close contender to TLH- idk if Ali Hazelwood can top it, but she might be onto something.
The plot was excellent, and for some reason I feel proud of Ali, as if she’s my kid or something😭. I learnt so much from this book, and I like how she highlighted even more important issues in academia - please as readers, do not ignore the unique acts of activism she does for her cause❤️. I also really enjoyed the plot, and twists and turns - my reactions to them were a tad dramatic, I do need to calm down a bit, but honestly miss Ali Hazelwood took us all for a ride with no seatbelt fr.
And ugh Jack just absolutely melted the life out of me. THIS IS WHAT LOVE AND ACCEPTANCE IS!! He is literally like Adam Carlsen, but obviously not better because NO ONE can top my husband, but again, a close contender I suppose. Jack would literally do anything for Elsie - he swallowed his pride for her, took care of her, threatened a man for her. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do. And his commitment to making her comfortable in absolutely everything, and pushing her to put herself first was evidence of just how much he loved and valued her. It was really heart warming to see a man do this whilst maintaining his masculinity - idk if that’s really controversial of me to say😭 pls don’t sue me, I can’t afford it atm x

I am liking Ali Hazelwood. I am liking her a lot. Her books are so fun, and she writes such beautiful stories that you cannot but get sucked into. Elsie and Jack are another great set of characters that she has added to her world and I loved every minute of it.
