Hold Me Wickedly by Kira James
Mystery & Thriller - Romance - Sci Fi & Fantasy
Picking right up where book three, Tempt Me Deadly, ended book four is off to a very active start. We are following along with vampire/werewolf hybrid Caris de Soranzo and ancient vampire Tiberius' storyline.
This story is about love, betrayal, family and relationships. This was a fast read will full-force action, I wouldn't recommend reading this as a stand-alone, so you understand the relationship that has formed.
I really enjoyed this book, it was really well written with a compelling storyline and well developed characters. I was absolutely hooked right from the start and couldn't put it down
This was such a well written book. I was drawn into the story from the very beginning , and before I started I was unsure if I was going to like either Tiberius or Caris. By the end..... I loved them both
I was waiting for this one! The story of Tiberius was something I for sure wanted from this series and I just knew I would love this book! Which i did! Not surprising since I loved the entire series! Kira has the perfect amount of dark with that sexual tension slow burn in all her books of this series and Gah I can't get enough!

Hold Me Wickedly is the fourth book in the series by Kira James and I do not recommend starting at this point. Please start with the prequel novella and read throughout the series to get maximum enjoyment. This book features Tiberius and I've been waiting for his story for a while. This book did not disappoint and this whole series has just been such a joy to read. It's definitely bingeable and I would 100% recommend it!
the cover: ugh I love these covers so much
FMC: Caris- a hybrid who has been rejected by the vampires and the werewolves. Note with the sides at war, she’s needs to make a decision on who she should back- as long as she can make it out alive.
MMC: Tiberius- a vampire who gave up his love instead of doing his “duty” and killing here as he should. Will he get a second chance at love while he tries to save the vampire world?
POV: 3rd person, dual POV
HEA: yes
spice: yes there are several open-door spicy scenes
TWs: death, murder, violence, torture, death of child
standalone: no- book 4 of series and recommended to read the series gif continuity snd recurring characters
final thoughts: this is a fun series with a unique take on vampirism and the supernatural combined with murder mysteries and thriller topics

This was such a well written book. I wish that I had known it was #4 in a series, I would have quickly read the first three so that it would have made more sense overall. That said, I'm a sucker for any and all vampire stories. It did have a great balance of going back and forth between past and present, which I really enjoyed. And, even though I was coming into this book blind, I could still feel the love that Tiberius and Caris have for one another. I will definitely be going back to read the other books in this series.
Thank you #netgalley, the author, and #authorcollective20 for this cARC in exchange for my honest review.
Yeah... I don't recommend reading this as a standalone.
I didn't realize this was the fourth book in a series when I had requested it. My bad. The story was a bit chaotic at the beginning. It jumped back and forth between the past and present quite often. Not only that but a bunch of names were getting thrown around. It took me a while to settle in, probably around the 55-60% mark.
The story was decent, a little predictable when it came to the romance. But I still enjoyed the journey Tiberius and Caris went on to find the missing girl and the back story of how Caris became a hybrid.
***I would like to thank NetGalley, Kira James (the author), and Author Collective 20 for graciously sending me a copy of the novel to review. As always, all thoughts are my own.**
Thanks to Netgalley for the Arc.
This is actually my first time reading this series, and it was hard for me to follow through the plot since I start reading with the fourth book (my mistake), hence i cannot review based on the plot itself, but i can give feedback based on the writings, pacing, info-telling and the overall aesthetics. I was amazed at the flawless writing! It was a gripping plot with clever politics and backgrounds. Dashed with hints of romance and paranormal, this book delivers what readers want in a book. The pacing was mediciore, and the overall vibes was very cool. If i actually knew about what happen in this series from the beginning, i know i would love this. So im giving this book a 50-50 rating since I like the writings, but unfortunately i didnt really understand the plot because i didnt know this is actually the fourth book.
I received an advanced reader's copy of Hold Me Wickedly by Kira James from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed this novel. The main characters were an interesting pair and secondary characters were well developed. I liked their banter, chemistry, and story arc. The novel was well written and the plot was engaging, if a bit predictable.
