I love this series as it is, so was excited to get this one. This story is beautifully illustrated and provides a really accessible way of looking at some difficult themes, without becoming too dreary or depressing. A lovely addition to an already brilliant series.
Thank you netgalley for this review copy.
This book was very original and I liked the characters although it was a little darkly illustrated and could have been a little easier to follow theme wise. Liked the approach to the theme of losing someone.
A beautiful story about the two friends meeting a new friend, a nymph who waited to be a mayfly. It was exciting at the beginning, but full of meaning at the end. In the form of comic book, the author succeed evoking feelings and talk about the subject in a smart way. Children as well as adults can relate well to this book and contemplate at the same time.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an E-Arc copy of this novel. Beautiful novel.
I love the previous books in this series so was looking forward to this, I can say I wasn’t disappointed at all. Tiny fox and Great Boar 3 deals with the difficult subject of death I thought it was really interesting, touching and powerful. I thought it handled death in such an honest and open way, but still with sensitivity. Highly recommended
I read this book with my 9yo and it was an enjoyable read. It was an easily read text for her but the themes of grief, friendship and the cyclical nature of life have way for great discussion.
Lovely illustrations with a great section at the end of the story where the author shows her sketching and planning process.
This is the first of the series we’ve encountered. We will certainly look to read the others published so far.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for gifting me this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
As a preamble, I read the first 2 books in this series and absolutely loved them. My expectation for this book was really high coming from book 2 which I thought was amazing. This one didn't disappoint. In fact, this one deals with the difficult subject of death and the existential dread of life. DEEP, right?! and yet, handled perfectly for slightly older kids. This series really is for kids right in between picture books and chapter books. I call this the early reader stage. I found it interesting and powerful. I haven't really even seen any other children's books that deal with death in such an honest way.
This is a book about death and dealing with the pain of losing someone. Fox and Boar become friends with a nymph and when she dies they are left to deal with the pain of losing her. Fox blames himself and is being consumed by sadness while Boar explains to Fox how sometimes lives go quickly while others are much slower and although its sad they are not gone as long as they are remembered.
So cute that it hurts my tiny heart.
This one reminds me so much of The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse regarding the vibes and the reading experience. However, the story is quite different and this one is unique in that it focuses much more on the natural environment where the characters the fox and the great boar and the different beings they meet on the way.
The fox is suddenly saddened when it learns the truth about the short life of the mayfly. This is the story of their journey learning different things, facing challenges and also it tells a very good story on what it means to have a trusted person by our side.
The illustrations are really good.
Thank you, Oni Press, for the advance reading copy.
This was such a wonderful, nature-filled comic book for children, full of such beautiful illustrations!
I'm new to the Tiny Fox and Great Bear series, and I can already tell from this book that it is such a treat of a series for young people.

Fox and Boar come across a Mayfly nymph on their adventures, and wait around for their new friend to turn into a beautiful Mayfly.

A fantastic, informative and fun-filled book, teaching children about the very short lifecycle of a Mayfly.
I loved that the book was centred around a species as small as a Mayfly - a species that most people would consider boring or insignificant.
It will inspire children to see the beauty in all living things - big or small.
Thanks to NetGalley for my DRC!
I simply love this series. These two guys, Tiny Fox and Great Boar, are so honest and innocent creatures that it's impossible not to love them. As they are discovering the world around them: the change of seasons, the various plants and animals, the wonder of nature, as well as their own feelings and emotions - we can see them being adventurous and being sad.
The paintings, the colours and the overall vibe of these picture books are amazing.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Oni Press for an Advance Review Copy.
I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. A fun picture book about friendship among animals.
Heartwarming story that teaches about friendship, mayflies, flowers and nature. Thanks to the fox and the boar early readers will learn that no one is lost forever, they will be in our hearts and memories.
Great idea to add a few scketches of the author at the end to show the work "behind the scenes" required to create an illustrated children's book.
The best in the series and my favourite installment so far 🥹
I was not prepared for how hard-hitting this book would be or how emotional it would make me. It's filled with lush and stunning illustrations as well as great lessons that will leave you thinking. I loved following the pair on their journey, their friendship, and getting to know a new character. There's more I want to say but no spoilers from me so... just wow.
Absolutely adored this poignant, meaningful and beautiful read that will remind you to cherish life and every moment ❤️
