The Deal by Karen Woods was another excellent book. Once I started to read it I was hooked, I ended up reading this book most of the day. It was full of twists and turns and very gritty!. This latest book by Karen will not disappoint and its a great book for a holiday read. I do find her books excellent and very addictive from start to finish.

I highly recommend this books and all of Karen's books.

Wow!! This is the first book I have read by Karen Woods but am keeping an eye out for another!! What a brilliantly written, exciting storyline that most of us can relate to in some small way! Wonderfully written, gritty and a definite page turner!

I have read almost all of Karen Wood's books and I can honesty say they just keep getting better and better. This is a fantastic read from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Never read a Karen woods book before but will definitely be reading more . This book was so good I couldn't put it down . Would definitely recommend this book .

What a great story, was gripped from the beginning and could not put down.

The story is really gritty and I was totally blown away.

What a great crime book, following one family ( the Taylors) and their deceit, lies, and fears.
They live near the dreaded Tavistock square on a Manchester estate, where drugs are dealt, crime is committed and deals are made.
Karen Woods certainly knows how to write a crime book and this one didn't disappoint. Full of everything you want in a book of this caliber. Another well-written thriller with twists and turns to make goosebumps go up on the back of your neck.

Another fantastic nitty gritty drama from Karen Woods. We get another insight into the Manchester underworld where all deals aren’t as clear cut as they seem.
Meet Macey who is a professional shoplifter trying to go straight but there’s always her hapless boyfriend Jayden bringing her down and her daughter running wild on the estate, but to what consequence?
Along Maceys journey she will find out who her true friends and allies are.
Gritty read highly recommended

Leanne Taylor at 17 has hopes to escape and live out her dreams of a better life.But the good life needs money and to get that you need to mix with people who don't play by the rules.
Both women have to work out when to keep quiet and who to protect and at what cost.
A fantastic gritty read with a brilliant storyline and characters.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Amazing writing, fantastic storyline 5*****

A very easy read. I enjoyed this book yet thought it seemed a little lacking of some of Karen’s usual ‘grit.
A little slow to start with but the second half of the book ramped up and it became a great, interesting read.
Some great characters that are relatable and as usual I love reading books that are set in and around places I know.

Another fantastic book by Karen Woods, I absolutely love a dark and gritty read and this book hits all the spots, I enjoyed every minute of it.
