I actually really liked this book. It spoke more about traits of someone being a leader and a boss instead of putting down other peoples traits. I think a lot of things can be good and bad and as it states in this book, it depends on how you use your aspects and your disadvantages, which show how much of a leader you are, I think this also pushes people to look and address themselves and what they do and how they can make that better in not only that personalised in the workforce life. I actually really did like this book and I will be reading more books like this in the future as it just showed a lot of intelligence in this aspect and pulled me in and it did what it says on the tin

Loved reading this book for it's different way of presenting leadership and management, inspirational ideas and enjoyable stories. The book is built on several stories connected to different areas of leadership and management. Each story has its own purpose and lesson to be learned. The stories cover leadership, managing team, dealing with difficult people, resolving conflicts, working as a team, managing tasks, communicating purpose, motivating team members and much more. There is no sugar coating and this makes the book special.

There is a lot to learn in this book. These are great options and definitely different ways to think about managing. I will definitely be coming back to this book to work through different team members that I manage. This is a great book.

Mostly generic ideas. Broken down into easy to digest sections that were very quick to read. A lot of military experience.

New take on leadership that works!!

A Leader Doesn’t Have to Be a Boss is a great new way to think about leadership that many companies should consider. The book not only provides a new way of thinking, but also provides examples on how leaders can handle different situations. You don't have to be a friend, but you don't have to be a BOSS.. Just lead by example.. .
My favorite part of the book was within the first few pages: "Anatomically speaking, a good leader must have three main organs: the brain, spine, and balls. (pardon my French, “Fabergé eggs”). These three are what make you." Brilliant.
