Another brilliant book by this author. I have loved every one before and this did not disapoint. Giovanni and Emma meet in wine tours in Tuscany so we follow their adventures in this beautiful setting, and then back to California to see if their relationship can endure and if Emma can break away from her fathers business and prove she can do it herself. A great read and thanks to netgally dor the early copy.
Catherine Bybee's Beginning of Forever is all about love, humor, and family. It deals with serious topics, but at its core, it's a heartwarming story about how love can make a real difference. Bybee's writing mixes humor and messy relationships skillfully, creating a touching narrative. It is truly an enjoyable read, especially for fans of the D'Angelo series, and the interesting twist adds to its appeal.
Another great read by Catherine Bybee. This was by far my favorite in the series but it could also be read as a standalone. There were some mild steamy parts,. But ultimately this is a family drama about relationships. And new beginnings .
"Beginning of Forever" by Catherine Bybee is an enchanting journey through the world of dreams, aspirations, and the enduring power of love. This heartwarming tale revolves around sommelier Giovanni D’Angelo and wine enthusiast Emma Rutledge, two individuals brought together by their shared passion for wine and a desire to carve out their destinies.
The narrative takes us on a captivating three-week vineyard tour in Italy, where Gio and Emma's chemistry sparks like fine wine. Catherine Bybee masterfully weaves a story of love, ambition, and resilience against the backdrop of picturesque Tuscany. The author's vivid descriptions transport the reader to the sun-kissed vineyards, creating an immersive experience that complements the emotional depth of the characters.
The characters, Gio and Emma, are crafted with authenticity, making them relatable and endearing. Giovanni's determination to create his own vineyard and Emma's drive to overcome familial challenges and establish her own legacy form a compelling foundation for the story. Their journey from strangers on a wine tour to partners in life and business is beautifully portrayed, leaving readers rooting for their success and happiness.
What sets "Beginning of Forever" apart is its ability to balance romance with real-life challenges. Emma's unexpected diagnosis adds a layer of complexity to the plot, highlighting the fragility of life and the importance of seizing the present. This book is a delightful blend of romance, self-discovery, and the enduring spirit of pursuing dreams. It deserves a solid five stars for its engaging plot, well-developed characters, and the heartfelt message that love and dreams can indeed last a lifetime.
Another great book by Catherine Bybee. Steamy parts, family drama and relationships. relationship beginnings.
There were a few spots that were contrary and a bit ridiculous but over all a great read.
Catherine Bybee is such a comfort author for me, I know when I read a book from her I'm going to thoroughly enjoy it, and this one was no exception. I've really enjoyed this series and Gio was a characters I was curious about from the first book. I loved getting to see him get his happily ever after with Emma, and I loved the little dose of Italy we got in the first part of this book.
Gio has always wanted to own a vineyard, a place he could create his own wine, but he's always put his family first, and being home to help with the family restaurant was important too. Now his family is telling him it's time to put himself first and three week tour in Italy is a great place to start.
Emma's family owns a very popular wine label, and while she wants to run it her father has other plans. So a break from work might be the best thing for her and tour in Ital sounds like a good way to get away from it all.
While both of them had expectations if what they would get out of this tour, meeting someone they can't ignore wasn't one of them. But when Gio and Emma meet, there is some seriously undeniable chemistry between them, and luckily for them, it doesn't have to end when they get home, because home it just a short drive away for them back in California.
I really loved the way Gio and Emma's relationship developed in this one and I absolutely loved the way Gio cared for Emma. I loved the chemistry between the two of them and I love the way they both supported each other. It was also nice to have a low angst book to enjoy after some rather intense books. An all-around really enjoyable book and I'm very much looking forward to the next one.
Emma Rutledge and Giovanni D'Angelos both receive wine tours to Tuscany for their thirtieth birthdays. Unbeknownst to them, they end up on the same tour, discovering a connection beyond the vineyards. Gio, a sommelier from San Diego's Little Italy, dreams of owning a vineyard. Emma, the daughter of R&R Wineries' owner, seeks independence after her ex-husband becomes her boss. As they explore the Tuscan countryside, sparks fly, and a special bond forms.
Back in California, Gio supports Emma's quest for a vineyard, helping her break free from her father's control. Their relationship deepens, facing challenges together. When Emma is diagnosed with a rare genetic condition, Gio remains by her side, strengthening their connection. The story combines humor, romance, and memorable characters, with Gio proving to be the ideal partner. The Tuscan setting, delightful characters, and vivid descriptions enhance the reading experience, making "Beginning of Forever" by Catherine Bybee a recommended and enjoyable read.
I do not know how I missed the first two books in this series, as Cathryn Bybee is one of my go to authors. I will be going back to read them. You do not have to read the first two books to know what is going on.
This book is about GIo and Emma two people who never would have met if they both did not end up on a wine tour of Tuscany. THey both have the same desire to have a businessmaking wine and owining a winery. FOr Emma her father stands in the way as this is in her bllod. For GIo this is his dream.
I loved loved loved this story. It was a book I could not put down.
As much as I liked the first two books in Catherine Bybee's series about the D'Angelo family, I loved this third one even more. It is so heartwarming to read about a strong, loving family that's always there to support each other through all the ups and downs life brings. I am so excited to see that a fourth book just came out so I can continue to read about my new favorite book family. Thanks to NetGalley, Montlake and the author for the opportunity to read and review Beginning of Forever.
First things first, if you're considering diving into this series, I strongly recommend starting from the beginning to savor all the goodness of this fantastic family and their journeys to happily ever afters.
In this book, we follow Gio, a guy torn between his family restaurant business and his true passion for winemaking. When his family surprises him with a three-week wine tour of Tuscany, he's overwhelmed with gratitude and humbled by their generosity. Little did he know that this trip of a lifetime would not only inspire him to pursue his dream of owning a vineyard but also lead to an unexpected romance with another guest on the tour.
Enter Emma, who hails from a prestigious wine dynasty but has always been overshadowed due to her gender. Frustrated beyond measure, she takes a break and embarks on a wine tour with her best friend. However, a mix-up with her suitcase sends her to Tuscany with a shortage of clothing but with a willing hero – Giovanni.
What I adored about this story was the incredible chemistry between Gio and Emma. Their banter, wit, and the undeniable attraction between them made for a delightful and entertaining read. Gio was head over heels from the get-go, while Emma, who had experienced a tough divorce and struggled with overbearing men in her life, took a bit longer to realize Gio's genuine nature. His selfless behavior, shaped by a lifetime of putting others first, was utterly charming to someone who had grown accustomed to being ignored.
In a nutshell, this book was a deliciously fun and heartwarming read. Plus, it was fantastic to catch up with all the D'Angelos and their love stories once again. So, if you're a fan of romance, family dynamics, and a good dose of humor, this book is a must-read! Happy reading, and enjoy the magic of Tuscany with Gio and Emma.
Catherine Bybee is one of my favorite authors! The new book Beginning of. Forever is filled with many characters that you will enjoy reading.
**I received an ARC of this book courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely**
This was my favorite one of this series so far! Emma and Giovanny and the Golden Girls were a true delight!
Giovanni has just turned thirty and got the usual reminder from his mother: he needs to find a wife and give her grand babies! He’s happy with his life as it is but he wants to find a vineyard to manage and develop his sommelier skills. When his family gifts him a tour of visiting the Tuscany vineyards, it’s like his dream vacation. And what he least expected was to find his fate on this trip!
All Emma wanted was to work alongside her father in his wine empire. Instead, he delegated her to retail sales and made her ex-husband Manager of Operations, a position she coveted. Sick and tired of her father’s discrimination against her, she left the company, claiming her whole vacation leave while she studied her options. By serendipity, Emma was also celebrating her birthday, and her mother gifted her with a trip to Italy too. Fate made!
Gio was a darling to Emma during the trip. He was so easygoing, so gentlemanly and attentive, it was given that Emma would fall for him. When Emma’s mother got her a vineyard property to manage, it was a given that Emma would take charge and Gio would help from home. He was only a few hours away from her, he in San Diego and she in Temecula.
When Emma discovers a genetic health issue, Gio is with her. It also brings forth interesting information about her family! Her brothers and mother rally around her, and her father somehow finds himself on the outside of that closed circle. He was such a relentless jerk, I loved seeing that!
This was a lovely romance full of so many cute details. Emma’s lost luggage that kept traveling all over Italy but not to her hotel, the Golden Girls who had such a love for liquor and having fun, they were a lesson on enjoying life here and now. Emma’s mother was a warrior for her daughter and I loved that she stood up to her husband for her daughter. I wanted to slap Robert Rutledge for being such a horrible jerk to his daughter, for not giving her the recognition she deserved and instead promoting her douche of an ex-husband. I had many angry moments as I read the book, but also many victorious moments as I watched Emma and Gio surge victorious and love swept. Magnifico!
for Giovanni D'Angelo tasting wine is not enough he wants to make it and when he meets Emma on a wine tour in Tuscany he offers to help her. When they return to California they work together to set up Emma's vineyard and a label of their own and when she gets a life-altering diagnosis she worries that it's all been for nothing.
Competitive woman and man happen to meet on a tour of Italy wine region. Both with separate future dreams of wine and life. Mix that with chemistry is what makes this story worth reading. Plus funny and romantic. As usual Catherine Bybee a good choice to read.
This is a good book. The two main characters are Emma and Gio. Emma works for her family’s winery. Gio works for his family’s restaurant. For their birthdays their families sent them on a three weeks trip to Italy to some wineries., this is how they meet. There was an instant attraction. They had a great time. They each had issues but together they worked them out and fell in love.
Great addition to the D’Angelo story. I have loved this series and reading about this family and their journey to find love.
Beginning of Forever is the third book in The D'Angelos series. In my opinion you can read this book as a stand alone, I found this to be a sweet romance, this was a delightful read. I thought the main characters really balanced each other out which made for a great read. I would definitely would recommend this book to others.
I received and ARC from NetGalley and Montlake Publishers, I am leaving my review voluntarily.
I have read nearly every story penned by Catherine Bybee and have yet to end a single one without a 5 star rating.. which is crazy. Even in my deepest of book slumps I can always reach for her books and know it will be a unique story, a different adventure and leave me with the warm and fuzzies. I want there to be more D'Angelos because of how sweet and perfect this family is. I want to be part of it! This is the story of what happoens when two people not looking for love spend 3 weeks traversing Italy bonding over wine and good food and discovering both their present and future together.
Beginning of Forever by Catherine Bybee is book 3 of the D'Angelo's series. It can definitely be read as a standalone but I always recommend reading the series in order for reoccurring characters and back story. This was a great love story with lots of giggles and laugh out loud moments! This is a typical romance with little steam but overall great storyline.
A heartwarming romance novel about two wine enthusiasts who find love in the vineyards of Tuscany. Gio D'Angelo is a sommelier who dreams of creating his own wines. Emma Rossi is a winemaker who is struggling to find her place in her family's business. Sparks fly when they meet on a wine tour in Italy, and they quickly fall in love.
The book is full of humor, heart, and romance. Gio and Emma are both likable characters who are easy to root for. The supporting cast is also well-developed, and the family dynamics are complex and interesting. The setting of Tuscany is beautifully described, and the wine-tasting scenes are mouth-watering.
Bybee's writing is engaging and easy to read. She has a gift for creating vivid characters and scenes. The plot is well-paced, with plenty of twists and turns to keep readers guessing. The ending is satisfying and heartwarming.
Overall, Beginning of Forever is a delightful read that will please romance novel fans. It is a story about love, family, and the power of dreams. I highly recommend it.
