If only this book had existed when I was growing up! A much needed book of affirmation to build confidence, self esteem and kick off the day to a wonderful start for all the young readers (and non readers) in our lives. This would make a great children's gift.

This book has a positive message and is written by Asyiah Jalloh, an 8-year-old. She pens her qualities:
I am beautiful, hard working, respectful, brave, strong, one of a kind, important, loved, smart, grateful, responsible, just to cite a few. Affirming herself daily makes her feel good about who she is. Her wish is that the readers will do the same so they too can feel empowerment. These affirmations she shares will build self-esteem and self-confidence if tucked deep inside of hearts.

The illustrations are lovely but I was not a fan of repeating them as the pages are turned. I honestly thought at first their was a printing error. Both wee ones ( and adults ) will benefit from reciting and believing these affirmations about themselves every single day. A great debut book! Kudos to Asyiah!

Who Am I? A Children's Book of Affirmations is written by an 8-year-old. She wrote what makes her feel good about herself, and she states these daily. In addition, she encourages the reader to do the same.

The illustrations are simple, not over the top, and compliment the author's objective.

I would have liked to see an add-on explaining what to do if these don't work and why they could be beneficial.

Was cute at first. But… the word pages were plain, the pictures kept getting repeated, and there was no mention of it being religious in the description. So as a parent raising a child in a non-religious household, this would not work for me.
