Tom Marcus's *Target and Destroy* is a thrilling dive into the gritty underworld of gangland London. This third installment in the Matt Logan series continues to deliver high-octane action and suspense. Former MI5 officer Matt Logan, now part of the covert Blindeye team, faces off against DCI John Tenniel—a dangerous man whose ambition knows no bounds.

Marcus expertly crafts a narrative filled with tension as Logan's team navigates a world where crime and law enforcement collide. The plot is fast-paced, keeping readers on the edge of their seats as they follow Logan's mission to uncover corruption within the UK's National Crime Agency.

The characters are well-developed, and Marcus's insider knowledge of espionage adds authenticity to the story. While some plot points may stretch believability, the book's excitement and depth more than compensate. *Target and Destroy* is a must-read for fans of gripping espionage thrillers.

Another episode of the Logan and his associates in a secret group of ex spies taking on the tasks the conventional bodies can’t do. Lots of violence and references to previous episodes might confuse the first time reader but you soon get the hang of it. As usual an ending that shows there’s more to come from this cast list. Entertaining !

You need to read the previous book as there is a fair bit of carry over.
Logan is a member of a secret unit that works in the shadows supporting the U.K. Government. Still after an apparently untouchable corrupt official, Logan is distracted by a mysterious female who he connected with but then vanishes. Throw in some mysterious assassins, a weird nursing home and a number of agendas.
The author’s expertise is that of surveillance within the security services and this continues to show but this felt like too many plots were crammed in and they don’t quite connect property.
Quite readable but too many moments of incredulity.

An excellent third novel from former MI5 operative. Once again we follow Logan and the team on another operation. Excellent cast of characters well plotted plenty of action. Gets better with each book, one of the authors I look forward to each release.
I received this book from Pan MacMillan and Netgalley for a review.

I am in such awe of this author.... I feel compelled to begin with the author's bio excerpt (in case anyone has missed it... it is THAT IMPRESSIVE)!!!
"Tom Marcus, former MI5, grew up on the streets in the North of England. He joined the Army at sixteen and went on to became the youngest member of the Armed Forces to pass the 6-month selection process for Special Operations in Northern Ireland. He was hand picked from the Army into MI5 as a Surveillance Officer. He left the Security Service after a decade on the frontline protecting his country due to being diagnosed with PTSD".
HOW IMPRESSIVE IS THAT???????
It makes me so humble to know there are dedicated people out there to look out for us all!
I for one absolutely love it when these amazing, exceptional individuals decide to write books to make them available for us to read. This is book 3 of the Matt Logan series which compelled me to order book 1 and 2 and to flag this new found author as to most certainly follow from now on.
This is an amazing series, written by an exceptional human being and I for one wish him all the best and cannot wait for more books from him...

Huge thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and Tom Marcus for the ARC of Target and Destroy.

Having read all of his other books and the 2 previous Logan books I was so excited to be taken back into this journey and read about the exploits of Logan, Alex and the rest of the team again.

I felt the transition from Defend or Die into this novel was seamless, and whilst it felt comfortable like joining a familiar story or old friends it was anything other than boring.

Thoroughly enjoyed and the only shame now is waiting for the next one!!

Absolutely baffled, couldn't make it past 20% sorry. Very confusing, too many characters and the story just felt disjointed.

This book follows on from the previous book Which I have read but can easily be read as a stand alone book.
The pace and twists of the story build even better than previously and kept me engrossed from start to finish.
This is one of the rare books you can't wait to finish to find out what happens next and you don't want to finish because that means the story has ended.

Follow the group as the move on targets and things unravel.

Not for me unfortunately.
Did little to entice me to read more than I did and with others on the shelf to read, it was abandoned.

Based upon my reading of this book, I will find more books by this author, since it was well plotted and the lead character was well drawn. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for giving me a copy of the novel.
