Another great read from a superb author. You don’t need to have read all the books in the series to enjoy this one, although you will no doubt go in search of the others!

The characters are well drawn and believable, many of them not particularly likeable . There is a great sense of the time in history with all its religious elements and the conditions people lived in, both rich and poor. A well researched and highly recommended read.

Thank you to Netgalley the author and publishers for an arc in exchange for an honest review

A tense page turner set in Prague, where Bruno, is sent to find Dee, set in the period of Elizabeth I. There was a great deal of historical research involved woven in as background to the story, which I really enjoyed. The characters were well drawn. I Recommend this book as a good read.
