3.75/5 stars! There was a lot to like about this book. It's a fluffy rom-com set in LA. I think the author did an amazing job of taking the reader through Los Angeles. I fee like I know more about the city. than ever before after reading this. The pacing was a bit meh at times and sometimes the chemistry didn't feel believable, but overall an enjoyable read.

This book was everything you expect of LK, properly developed characters that you warm to instantly alongside a great plot and genuinely hilarious humour. She always gets me swooning, she creates the best book men, that always leave you wanting more.

"Love Me Do" by Lindsey Kelk is a contemporary romance novel that follows the story of a woman navigating love, life, and unexpected challenges. It's known for its humor, relatable characters, and heartwarming moments. It's a perfect read for those who enjoy a mix of romance and wit in their books!

I enjoyed this book overall. Phoebe was a great character to follow throughout the book, and I enjoyed her optimism and realism mixture.
There were a couple of predictable moments, for instance a storyline involving Suzanne (Phoebe's sister) was one I saw coming quite early in the book.
I wasn't a HUGE fan of the miscommunication and smoke and mirrors of Ren and Bel's relationship, and didn't really get on board with the full change of personality from Bel when she was around Ren. It didn't feel totally realistic.
The storyline with Myrna, a reclusive Hollywood starlet, felt a little too Evelyn Hugo at times.
But I really enjoyed the LA setting, it did feel a little like walking through the city's streets and taking in the sights and sounds.

I have read a lot of Lindsey Kelk's books and really enjoyed this one. I look forward to reading more.

I'm horrendously behind on my reading and reviews to the point this one is archived and for some reason will not load up on my kindle or my phone.
Its Lindsey Kelk so I know it will be amazing so I have high hopes for this one.

Another great book by Lindsey Kelk - love the way she describes LA - you can tell she lives there - and loved the character development.
The story was your typical chick-lit book but that didn’t make it any less special
Lindsey Kelk never fails to let me down and I will always read her books

Perfect summer read.
Phoboe finds her herself heading to La to spend time with her sister who’s called away. She soon finds herself getting to know her sisters Bridgnorth neighbours and friends. Will it be a summer of love?

3.5 stars
A nice, low steaks romance, great for summer.
Lots of British culture mentioned which I loved, shout-out Colin the Caterpillar! Like the LA setting, however I’m not a fan of a romance which begins with a lie which will have to, inevitably be overcome at the end.
Thank you NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

Another great lindsey kelk book. I really enjoyed being with phoebe and the adventures she went in in LA!

Wish I read this poolside because it would've made reading this so fun!
I may have a different opinion to most but this isn't a romance book - I'd say it felt more like a #2 plot to Phobebe and Bel's friendship.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Ever since I picked up the Christmas Wish I have been a fan of Lindsey Kelk and when I had an opportunity to read Love Me Do I jumped straight on it!
Whilst not up there with Christmas Wish (for me) it was a laugh out loud enjoyable read.
Set in LA, it centres around Phobe who is visiting her sister from the UK for a much needed getaway.
Cue lots of character dynamics, funny interactions and an insta love story with a neighbour.
Overall the story is really easy to get into, the characters relatable, adorable and funny. The writing is immersive, beautifully done balancing self discovery, friendship and romance that means you won’t stop turning the page!

I thoroughly enjoyed this! I loved the characters and the journey that was shared! I dreamt of living in those amazing houses too! I wanted to know more about life in England though!

I thoroughly enjoyed Love Me Do by Lindsey Kelk. Set in LA, Phoebe who is visiting her sister Suzanne who ends up being called away on work business finds herself being best mates with a personal trainer, meets a hot guy next door and brings a retired reclusive film star out of her shell.
An addictive read that I could not put down. Waiting not so patiently for Lindsey’s next book.

I found this book a lovely sunny easy read. The setting is fabulous, the characters fun and there’s a whole lotta romance with a few twists along the way. A cute romantic comedy perfect for sitting down with and devouring in one go This book demands a sequel so hope there’s one in the offing.
Thank you Netgalley

Lindsay Kelk has done it again.
Another book full of real life characters in real life situations who are relatable and easy to like.
Phoebe has finally agreed to visit her sister in L.A but she's there a matter of minutes before her sister has to head off on a work trip. The next morning, she is rudely awakened by Bel, personal trainer to her sister and a force of nature.
Bel explains that she is in love with Ren, the boy next door and Phoebe offers to help to get him to notice Bel.
During all of this, as well as meeting a reclusive 82 year old film star, Phoebe is having the time of her life.
I really enjoyed this book. There are a couple of side stories that are also taking place that only add to the whole book.

Have always loved all of Lindsey books they are a good rom com you can rely on being a quick easy read. This was amazing story line

I am yet to read a Lindsey Kelk book that I don't love and Love Me Do was no exception.
A hilarious and heart warming read, full of loveable characters (Myrna is the best) that leaves you wanting more.
Please announce a Love Me Do 2!

Lindsey Kelk is a relatively new author for me. She has been writing and publishing books for years but it has only been these past few months that I have picked up her books. This is the third one that I have read, and I have to say I am a fan! I am absolutely loving her books. They are such fun reads that are perfect for when you want a book equivalent of a fun romcom.
Love Me Do follows the story of Phoebe, a woman in her 30s who goes to see her sister who lives in LA and while there tried to set up her new friends, Ren and Bel. However, as they start to get a little closer, Phoebe realises that she may like Ren and she has just possibly done the worst thing ever.
I really enjoyed Love Me Do. It’s such a fun read and I really enjoyed that the book was set in LA, but in the language there was so much Britishness in there too. As a Brit myself, I really enjoyed this. Lindsey is a fantastic author at building up a really fun plot that will have you laughing out loud one minute, and feeling super emotional the next. This was honestly so funny, and I absolutely loved her side characters. Bel would be the most irritating person in real life, but I fully believe that people living in Hollywood are exactly like that. I just loved everything about the secondary characters, that a part of me is hoping she decides to write a book with them as the main character in the future.
My one slight issue with Love Me Do is how all of the conflicts were rectified so quickly in the end. I just felt like the conclusion of this book was rushed. Some of the issues were happening with only 50 pages left and then suddenly 2 pages after the issue it was resolved. There were so many other things that could have happened to resolve these that would have felt more natural, in my opinion, so I was a little bit disappointed in how rushed the ending felt. Other than that I really enjoyed every moment of Love Me Do.
Love Me Do would be the perfect summer read. I read this at the end of September, so I was starting to get more in the mood for autumnal reads. I honestly really enjoyed Love Me Do, but a part of me does feel like I’d have loved it even more if I’d have read it in the middle of summer. I can’t wait to read more of Lindsey Kelk’s work in the future, and I am super excited to see her try her hand at YA Romantasy next year. I would definitely recommend this one for romcom/contemporary lovers. You really can’t go wrong with Lindsey’s books.
