Love Lindsey’s books but this one blew me away, couldn’t put it down and had the biggest book hangover ever!
Loved the glamorous, superficial seeming existence near Hollywood, living amongst the famous, yet realising everyone has some confidence issues.
The main character, Phoebe, is hiding something other than a broken heart, and really appreciates her sister’s neighbour, Rens, attractiveness and friendliness.
Phoebe gets up to all sorts of mischief and adventure, whilst sexual chemistry sizzles, unbidden.
A fantastic, escapist holiday read.I

As a huge fan of this authors books, I was so excited to read this!
I thought the characters were so lovable and you instantly felt you had known them forever.
The location was perfect, honestly I could just see myself living there. The author used so many amazing descriptions which made it so easy to imagine that I felt I was there.
This is a book I certainly did not want to end. I adored it!

Please Lindsey can you magic me up a real life version of Ren, just for me, I absolutely adore him and want him to be mine.
Failing that can you let me meet a fabulous aging Hollywood Actress and have her regale me with tales of the golden era?
Or just turn me into Phoebe so I can experience all of that and even more, as I think I'd like to be Phoebe.
She's fabulous, she's loyal to the new people she meets in LA while visiting her sister.
Bel is LA crazy, and gets Phoebe doing all sorts of things she has never done before including being a mermaid!
There are so many laugh out loud moments, references to songs / films and I'm sure I missed many moe, and this was just a pure fun escapist summer read.
I loved every second of this book from one of my favourite authors.
Thank you to HarperCollins and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Phoebe has gone to visit her sister in America but when she gets there has to fly off to work leaving Phoebe in a big fully stocked house alone. Add in a gorgeous neighbour and her sisters slightly ditzsy fitness trainer who has many other talent. What could possibly go wrong ?
Brilliant read by Lindsey as always

A really great and fun read. I loved the characters and the story. Will look out for more from this author.

What I loved:
I enjoyed this 'the holiday' film vibe romance, and it was great to have so sarcastic brit humor thrown into an LA setting. The setting is beautifully written and immersive.
The friendships! Honestly, the side characters kind of steal the show for me, they're just fab.
What wasn't for me:
It's one of those books in a grey area of 'women's romantic fiction' in that the romance doesn't feel like the main plot, and when it was mentioned, it was, unfortunately, lacking... a tad on the Insta love side without real reasons. Sorry!
Overall, an easy read for a sunny day 😎

The perfect summer read for your holiday, wherever you are, I really enjoyed this, but I love anything Lindsay does and I would always recommend her books, fantastic read.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I went into this with zero expectations, and got everything! Lindsay Kelk is an extraordinary writer, and this is definitely one of my top reads of the year! Feel-good, sunny, and the perfect book for anyone who wants more of the The Holiday.

The book starts with Phoebe flying out from Sheffield to visit her sister Suzanne in LA. (I believe both of these locations are close to the author’s heart – so writing what she knows, which is always a winner!) When Phoebe arrives, Suzanne says she’s been called away from work to (rainy!) Seattle – so Phoebe decides to stay ‘home alone’ at her sister’s lovely house.
Within hours Phoebe has met the gorgeous next door neighbour Ren, Suzanne’s PT Bel – who has a massive crush on Ren, and a seemingly grumpy near neighbour Myrna Moore (a retired Hollywood darling) – and the book then plays out over the next few days and the intertwining relationships between all of the above in a lovely way.
As well as being a delicious romantic comedy – the book also touches on more serious storylines – such as coercive control in relationships, difficult family relationships and certain prejudices.
It was a perfect holiday, escapist read – and makes me want to go to LA to visit the quiet beach – and maybe even go hiking to a waterfall!

Phoebe has given up on love but decides to play Cupid for her new friend Bel. Phoebe is soon caught up in writing love letters and tagging along on dates, but really, who is falling for who !
This was just everything it was supposed to be a brilliant feel good friends to lovers romance . I loved it. This book had me laughing out loud. I have not read many Lindsey Kelk, but I have loved them all, and I'm not a big romance reader. Definitely recommend for a quick, feel-good summer romance read.
Thank you to Netgalley, Harper Collins UK, and Lindsey Kelk for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I loved Love Me Do. Sweet, funny, romantic, and with a main character who is oh so relatable and you can't help but root for. Lindsey does dialogue so well, and I'm always a sucker for a book set in LA. The perfect feel good summer rom-com, with a much needed dose of British humour!

Everyone knows how much I love Lindsey Kelk's books. So when she released the cover and blurb for this book I was like OMG I love them.
This story was absolutely amazing I loved everything about it. Lindsey didn't disappoint

This was the perfect summer holiday read! In Love Me Do, we meet Phoebe Chapman, a greetings card copywriter from 40 miles outside of Sheffield (So… presumably closer to another town/city than Sheffield? – I thought about this a lot whilst reading the book, maybe too much!), who arrives in Los Angeles to spend two weeks with her sister.
Phoebe is trying not to think about how her ex-fiance is about to get married, and is looking forward to spending time with her sister. But as soon as she lands, her sister announces she has to go to Seattle for a few days for work, leaving Phoebe on her own in her amazing dream house. Which happens to be next door to the most good-looking man she has ever seen… Ren Garcia!
The next day she meets her sister’s personal trainer, Bel, and soon she has made a new friend and hatched a plan to try to matchmake Bel and Ren by using her writing skills to write Ren a love letter from Bel. Which of course leads to a complicated mess of feelings and mistaken identities!
Meanwhile, Phoebe meets a surprising new friend in the form of 82-year-old former Hollywood starlet Myrna, and begins a plan to help her throw one last party of a lifetime in her treasured home.
Love Me Do is a hilarious and heart-warming story that was so easy and delightful to read. Phoebe was so relatable and funny – after the truth comes out about her ex-fiance and their relationship, you cannot help but root for her and Ren falling in love. And Myrna frequently had me guffawing out loud with some of the things she comes out with! Great characters, a lovely story, and now I just want to go and visit LA please!

When the main characters sister leaves her alone in her house, she meets a new boy and they begin a romance. I loved this book and really enjoyed it

So Lindsey Kelk's novels are all amazing and I love the way she writes and how she grips my attention from page one.
This novel did not disappoint, full of fun, laughs, a few tears and soooooo much fun, I wish I could read it again.
We meet lovely Phoebe, on a trip to her sisters amazing home in the glorious LA, she straight away meets her sisters friend Bel and we meet Ren the next-door neighbour. Bel has a MAJOR crush on Ren, and he has no idea, this is where the fun begins, as Phoebe decides to get them together.
The story really starts up as Phoebe meddles and the reader is thrust into amazing fun straight away.
I love how Lindsey Kelk's characters resonates so well with me, they are detailed and perfectly imperfect, I love them all.
This makes for such a good summer reader and encourage everyone to give it a go.
Thanks to Netgalle, Lindsey Kelk and the publishers for allowing me a copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review.

Gooey cheesy romance perfection 😍
Lindsey Kelk is one of my favourite authors and this latest book is one of her best in my opinion. Strong characters, lots of feels and a generous dollop of humour make this a five star read for me.
I love the blossoming friendships between Phoebe and Bel and Phoebe and Myrna. I LOVE Myrna who is a scene stealing queen. I love the sisterly bond between Phoebe and Suzanne and I love the sexual tension between Phoebe and Ren.
I already want to read it again

This was a simple, fun, easy and quick read. The perfect type of book for your holiday, beach, pool kind of read. This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and I would read more of their work. The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you very much to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

This book was filled with love, joy and humour. It is exactly what I look for in a romance. Adored it!

This was the perfect romance to get me out of my reading slump! I enjoyed all the characters, especially Myrna, she's such a strong lady! I appreciated the Cyrano de Bergerac vibes wrapped in a modern romance, this was really well done. I've never been to Los Angeles, so it was nice to discover it from the point of view of people who've lived there for a while, and not only see all the tourist and "glamour" stuff.
I read a couple of books by Lindsey Kelk, which I all enjoyed very much, so now she's on my autobuy list :)
Thank you to the publisher who provided me with an e-copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

When Phoebe Chapman goes to visit her sister in LA her holiday is very different from what she expected in many ways.
Firstly her sister Suzanne has to rush straight off to Seattle to sort out a work emergency and won't be back for several days leaving Phoebe to her own devices.
She meets her sister's neighbours, Ren, the hot, hot man whose garden backs onto Suzanne's. Myrna, the reclusive neighbour up the hill.
There's also Bel, Suze's personal trainer and all round nice person.
She is also avoiding her ex boyfriends upcoming wedding, after making a fool of herself by approaching the bride to be on her Hen Night. It's not as though she has feelings for Thomas anymore, but she doesn't want anyone else to go through what she went through.
A fun read, with touches of Hollywood glamour thrown in for good luck.
