What an outstanding book, I love this author and this book did not disappoint, full of laughs love and joy, highly recommend this book.

Since discovering the joys of a good Lindsey Kelk book I have become a devoted reader of hers, and honestly I think Love Me Do is her best yet. My gosh I just loved it, just everything about it; it’s pure rom com perfection. My only quibble, man would I have loved a one year later epilogue but that’s just me being greedy!
I loved that in Love Me Do we have a great Northern FMC transplanted to the glittering sunshine of LA. Phoebe is everything you’d want in a Kelk leading lady, she’s whip smart, funny and a general good egg; she also has a wonderful healing arc within the story. Ren was an equally brilliant MMC, dreamy but with a heart of gold, also its a special skill of Kelk’s to make twitching seem sexy! When Phoebe works her cupid magic on Ren and her new bbf Bel things seem to be going swimmingly, the only snag, Phoebe is rather fond of Ren herself!
What makes this book so special are its characters, both central and secondary. They were all so well developed and so very likeable. I loved Phoebe and Ren, but goodness did Myrna steal the show. She gave me Nana Noodleman (Sing) energy in the best possible way and stole every scene she was in. Equally wonderful were Bel and Suzanne, Phoebe’s new LA friend and her sister. You couldn’t help but love Bel and thought Suzanne was just brilliant, her own journey was done wonderfully as well.
Love Me Do also reads like Kelk’s own love letter to LA which was a dream to read. I’ve been lucky enough to visit LA but only wish I’d known about some of the hidden gems that Ren has Phoebe visit. This book is pure sunshine and the perfect summer read.

I love Lindsey's book, they are always entertaining and put a smile on my face, as well as making me snort with laughter.
This is a perfect summer read, it is so easy to get hooked as it is such a fun and the chapters are the perfect length.
I've found my newest favourite character from Lindsey's books - Myrna - and that is all I'll say, as you'd really need to experience her for yourself!
I'd loved to have seen a bit more of Ren and Pheoebe but that's just because I'm greedy and love the romance.

Thank you to Netgalley, Harper Collins and the author for the review copy, provided in exchange for an honest opinion.

Another great story by Lindsey Kelk.
Love Me Do is a sweet romance that doesn’t take itself too seriously. I found it quick to get immersed into as it gets stuck into the plot quickly. Low Angeles provides an extravagant setting full of promise and opportunity for Phoebe who arrives there for a holiday to visit her sister. She quickly meets the attractive neighbour, Ren and gets swept up in setting him up with a new friend and as a result has to deal with her own feelings along the way. I enjoyed the writing style which kept me turning the pages.

What a gorgeous, happy, fun summer read this is!
Phoebe is great at her job, which is with a greetings card company. When her sister, Suzanne, living in LA, manages to persuade her to visit her, she is looking forward to doing all the touristy hotspots.
However when her sister is called away on work matters, she is left to entertain herself for a few days.
When she meets the gorgeous Ren, and Bel, Suzanne’s fitness instructor, she learns about Bel’s crush on Ren and decides to help Bel by writing love letters for her, all whilst developing feelings for Ren herself.
This story is like a modern mix of Jane Austen’s Emma and Cyrano de Bergerac.
Thanks must go to the publisher and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my review.

This is the perfect summer read, sat by the pool with a cocktail in my hand I devoured it in a couple of hours.

This was my first Lindsey Kelt read and I adored it. I read it in two sittings whilst on holiday, it was the perfect holiday companion. Recommend to anyone to put in their suitcase this summer!

This is my first read by Lindsey Kelk and it was such a sweet, well-paced, endearing read.
Phoebe travels to Los Angeles to visit her sister. Immediately after arrival, her sister leaves to deal with a work emergency. Phoebe find herself passing the time by playing Cupid and meddling in a love story between Bel and Ren. She soon finds herself falling in Love with Ren and Los Angeles.
I adored the setting, I felt that Los Angeles was captured well throughout, and the descriptive detail really did transport the reader to the many locations referenced. Characters are a real strength of this story and there’s lots of growth (Suzanne’s story, Ren and his Grandparent’s love story, Phoebe and the aftermath from her previous relationship and Bel who is just utterly chaotic, but amazing.) I have to say that my favourite character was Myrna Moore who is the sassiest straight talking eighty-year-old and I pray that I am like her when I’m older.
Slightly disappointed that there was no epilogue as I would have loved another snippet of these amazing characters.

Only the second book I’ve read by Lindsay Kelk, but certainly won’t be the last.
Feeling like I have binged on summer books set in Cornwall in this genre it made a great change to read something set elsewhere, in a completely different country even!
A thoroughly enjoyable, light-hearted feel-good story in an interesting setting filled with fully-formed & believable characters. A great summer-time read.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for this ARC. It arrived at just the right time on my shelf and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great characters, a to-die-for setting, what's not to love?

Gotta love a Lynsey Kelk! Who doesn't?
Phoebe Chapman is another typical hapless character Kelk has brought to us, filled with the woes of a life that isn't going anywhere, a failed romance, and a job that used to ignite passion, but is now just bringing feelings of... meh.
She goes on holiday to visit her hight-flying sister, in Hollywood Hills, is left to her own devices for a few days as her sister has to work, and ends up getting an eyeful from a possible pervert next-door neighbour, who turns out to be much the opposite, as well as rather hot!
Then the whirlwind that is Bel arrives, forging an instant friendship, and declaring her undying love for the abovementioned neighbour.
Oh, talking of neighbours; Myrna Moore. She's a reclusive octegenarian 'faded' filmstar who is a total character and a half, bringing all manner of different joys into Phoebe's previously sheltered life!
But that other neighbour... Ren. Now he is hot, in oh, so many ways. Physically attractive, but also a genuinely nice guy. Caring, sympathetic, and not fake.
What a great match he would be for Bel.
Unless someone else finds themselves falling for someone they shouldn't.
I won't give anything more away, but it is a fantastic read. Definitely one for the beach hols, this summer!
Many thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins, UK for an ARC.

I’d like to thank NetGalley and Harper Collins for approving me for an ARC of this book.
☀️This is the ideal summer holiday, beach read. It’s fun, flirty and entertaining, it often had me giggling out loud!
🧑🏻❤️💋👩🏻Determined to help Bel out, Phoebe finds herself in an unusual love triangle. The third wheeling dates she went on were my favourite moments of the book, I almost craved more of them. The friendship between Bel and Phoebe was not only endearing but highly entertaining.
👵🏻Myrna Moore was the absolute star of the show. Glamorous and not afraid to say what she was thinking, she certainly kept Phoebe on her toes!
⭐Overall this was another cracking read from Lindsey Kelk. Romance, friendship, Disneyland and amazing food. What more could you ask for?

What a brilliant read, perfect to while away the hours on my sunlounger. Predictable and perfect. I loved Myrna and googled her and EVERY location mentioned. Get me to LA now!

The moment I saw the cover for this book, I knew I had to read it. It looks like such a great summer read and it turned out to be just that. Of course I know that Lindsey Kelk is known for her contemporary romance and rom com writing, but this is the first of her books that I have read and I really enjoyed her easy breezy writing style.
My favourite character in the book had to be Myrna and I would bet good money that lots of people say the same thing. She was a force to be reckoned with and I would love to spend the day with her listening to all of her stories of old Hollywood and the antics she must have gotten up to.
Overall this was a cutesy story about failed relationships, learning to trust again and characters opening themselves up to things they never thought they would. A lovely book that I would recommend for something light and entertaining.

One of my favourite authors. You feel as if the characters are friends and I cheered them on throughout the book. Guaranteed to make you smile. Hoping it's the start of a new series and not just a one off.
Lindsey Kelk never lets her readers down. You will not be disappointed.

Ahh I do love a bit of romance when it’s done well…
This was a really great read that I sped through at a lightening pace. Easy to read, the characters were a tad stereotypical but likeable all the same, with a linear easy to follow plot, this was the perfect chill out read to break up my usual darker reads.
I loved the LA location with the focus on the lesser known parts rather than rehashing Hollywood and Beverly Hills name drops. 2nd book by this author and I’m defo off to look for some more so bye! 😛
Recommendations please 🙏

Lindsey Kelk never fails to entertain, I have been a fan from the very start and can say I think Love me Do is up there with one of her best.
As always, I was drawn in to the story from the start and the characters are always relatable, funny and sound gorgeous! Phoebe is brilliant, taking every moment and just going with it. I can honestly say if my sister just ditched me after travelling across the world, I wouldn't be so kind. Bel, a little annoying really, but I think she came good by the end, She didn't annoy me but perhaps started to get a little grating - this was probably intentional though.
Phoebe really had no self confidence in that Ren would see her for who she really was and be attracted to that. Pushing him and Bel together was never going to truly work.
Honestly, this book is full of fun, comedic moments intertwined with nods to current trends and themes. Romance at its best.

Love me do is Lindseys best book yet and I have read them all and loved. Filled with the warmth and wit that you would expect from a kelk novel. Just the kind of uplifting easy reading that you can pick up and by the time you have finished you have a huge grin on your face. Highly recommend.

Love Me Do is a well-written and highly entertaining rom-com. The character are all very likeable and it was good to see women written as friends rather than bitchy rivals. Kelk's writing flows well, the plot was engaging and the result is a thoroughly engaging and fun read.

This is a difficult one to review, as there were parts of this that I really enjoyed and parts that I found rather dull.
It was very clear that the final two thirds of this book were based on the story of 'Cyrano De Bergerac' and this left me feeling a bit let down and frustrated as it felt like a story that had already been told. But was pleased when I heard Kelk talking on a podcast saying that it was in-fact based on that play. It's good that it was intentional and not just some blatant plagiarism.
The opening of the book was great, and was enjoying the female characters - in particular Bel. I enjoyed the character of Bel far more than the other protagonists in the book and would love a book all about her! When the love story came in I lost interest as it just felt like so many other stories... and of course Cyrano, which I have mentioned before.
Would have liked something a little less cliche and a little more original - things you usually get when picking up a Lindsey Kelk book.
