I loved this story, beautiful setting with amazing characters. I would love to know what happens with these characters with a sequel.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this eARC of 'Love Me Do' by Lindsey Kelk.

'Love Me Do' is written by Lindsey Kelk and the gorgeous cover radiates summer beach read vibes but I felt underwhelmed by this novel. It felt done before and just nothing of note for me. I wish I loved it purely to own a copy of that gorgeous cover but alas, it wasn't the novel for me.

Phoebe goes to L.A and puts her friendship with Bel before herself. One sexy neighbour Ren and sassy neighbour Myrna who I loved and made the book for me. An enjoyable read. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for letting me review this book.

Great plot line, great writing and great characters. I really enjoyed Love Me Do by Lindsey Kelk. Once I started it, I found it hard to put down as I wanted to see how the dynamics evolved between the different characters. I can definitely recommend this book and would rate it 4.5 stars. Thank you to NetGalley, Harper Collins UK, Harper Fiction and the author for the chance to review.

I have read every book that Lindsey Kelk has read, she is one of my auto-buy authors and this book just confirmed (once again) why! The chemistry between Phoebe and Ren is undeniable and the sunny backdrop makes this the perfect summer read.

An absolute delight of a summery read. Sparkling, likeable characters, witty prose and dialogue that is highly relatable, this book has it all. An absolute Must read for fans of Kelk, this will give you the warm fuzzies between snorts of mirth.

I really actually enjoyed this book, I’d definitely recommend it as a poolside/beach read, as I definitely plan to reread this by the pool when I go on holidays. Seriously though I would recommend this to others.

Sadly, Love Me Do just wasn’t working for me. The writing style was good, if slightly confusing at some points, and the characters were ok, except Suzanne, but for some reason nothing in this story compelled me enough to keep reading.

I am a full no Lindsey Kelk fangirl and was THRILLED to get an advanced copy of Love Me Do. I have read every book Lindsey has ever written, some of them multiple times, so I always go into a new book with such high expectations and I was not let down in the slightest.

When Phoebe goes to LA and stays in her sister's house, she meets the hot birdwatcher next door and the perky trainer, she's in a world away from the UK. Add in the mysterious former actress and you've got all the necessary ingredients for the perfect romcom story.

Thanks you NetGalley for the advanced copy. I'll definitely be reading this again as soon as my pre-order book arrives.

Wow !!! This book didn’t disappoint.. I’ve been a massive fan of Lindsey’s books for many years, so I was super excited to read her new book..

Set in the heart of California LA we meet Phoebe who is visiting her sister that lives there. Unfortunately as soon as Phoebe arrives her sister has to fly out of town for business leaving Phoebe to explore LA on her own..

Well as much as I would like to tell you about the rest of the story I’ll leave her adventure for you to read about.

Let me start by saying I am a MASSIVE fan of Lindsey Kelk. So I went into this new release with very high hopes. Well, let me tell you - Lindsey surpassed those hopes and then some with this rom com novel. It reads like Lindsey’s love letter to her life as a Brit living in LA and I am here for it. I loved all the characters; I loved the Cyrano inspired storyline and I loved all the pop culture references (especially the vampire ones). If you’re even vaguely interested in rom com/ women’s fiction novels, this needs to be on your summer radar. Did I mention I loved it?!

I am a big big fan of Lindsey's and to see I had been given the opportunity to read and review this ARC I was so excited, thank you Harper Collins and Net Galley.

Pheobe an greeting card writer, and visits sister in LA, upon arrival Phoebe is left alone for 5 days whilst her sister is away for work.

This is a laugh a minute when Pheobe plays match maker with the hot next door neighbour Ren.

I absolutely adore Lindsey's writing style she always has such great characters and those hilarious moments.

This will have you in stitches with Pheobe's antics and situations.

I bloody loved it.

A feelgood LA vibe book with all the expected wit & fun of a Lindsey kelk novel.
I took a little bit of getting in to this book as I felt quite early ok it was a reimagining of Austen's Emma, but certainly half way in the friendships that were formed and the wonderful characters of Ren and Myrda just cemented it as a perfect summer break book to enjoy

This is a five-star read that you will certainly love. There is something about this author and the way they create characters that are genuine and just make you smile so much you worry your face may break. There is so much about this story to love, Phoebe herself, Ren and Bel (who I swear I know someone just like her or else I wouldn’t believe you could possibly have that much sunshine in a human form) to Suzanne, who surprised me more and more the more we get to know her, to one of my favourite all time characters Myrna, who is just someone I would give a small lottery win to meet in person. You get swept up into the story, and when it gets heavy you don’t care as its so good and dealt with nicely, the light-heartedness makes you smile so wide. Do not miss this great story, you can relax in the sunshine with a story that is pure sunshine itself.

I have read all of Lindsey’s books and they just keep getting better and better. Love Me Do was a fantastic summer read and I would recommend it to everyone.
Set in the fantastic setting of sunny L.A Brit Phoebe is visiting her sister Suzanne and is befriended by Bel who I absolutely loved and Myrna who is just Hollywood glamour personified.
All of the characters felt like my friends and I spent the majority of the book laughing out loud as some parts were just so funny and the romance in the book was perfect. Ren was such a beautiful character and the ending had me in tears and also cheering.
Thanks to NetGalley, Harper Collins UK and Lindsey Kelk for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion.

When Phoebe Chapman's love life implodes (turning up at her ex's new girlfriend's hen night) she hightails it out of Nottingham and her job as a greetings card copywriter to stay with her big sister Suzanne in LA for two weeks. Unfortunately, there's a crisis at work and her sister needs to go to Seattle immediately, leaving Phoebe all alone in a small mansion in the Hollywood Hills.

At first Phoebe thinks there's a pervert spying on her with binoculars while she's lying by the pool, but it turns out that the half-naked man is her nearest neighbour and an avid birdwatcher (twitcher). The neighbour, Ren, is here to renovate his grandfather's house before his family sell it to a real estate developer, something that Ren bitterly resents.

Phoebe's sister has fully embraced the LA lifestyle, so the next morning she is rudely awakened by Suzanne's personal trainer Bel, one of the most staggeringly beautiful women Phoebe has ever seen. When they run into Ren at a local restaurant Bel confesses she is madly in love with Ren but gets so tongue-tied she becomes a gibbering idiot every time he's nearby. So Phoebe decides to Cyrano de Bergerac Bel and Ren, two such beautiful people are destined to be together and if her writing skills can be used to woo Ren, so much the better.

Of course all too soon Phoebe realises that she too has fallen for Ren, they have so much in common. For his part, Ren is confused, he's fallen deeply in love with the woman who wrote him such a wonderful letter, but in person Bel seems a bit shallow and not interested in the same things as he is.

Throw in a reclusive former Hollywood film star whose mail has a disconcerting habit of being delivered to Suzanne's house by mistake and you have all the makings of a sweet, funny, romantic comedy with a splash of Hollywood glamour.

Loved it, entirely predictable but great execution. Kept me reading avidly.

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

We meet Phoebe, a greetings card copywriter from the UK who visits her sister Suzanne in LA. When her sister has to go to Seattle for work, Phoebe finds herself alone in the house. Cue for Bel, her sisters personal trainer, to take Phoebe under her wing. Phoebe also meets the handsome neighbour Ren. There is loads of flirting going on between Phoebe and Ren, but she matchmakes him to Bel. Throw in the mix the exentric Myrna, and we have an amazing cast of characters. We continue to follow Phoebe on her adventures, re-building relationships with her sister and moving on from her past.

You can never go wrong with @Lindseykelk books because she knows exactly what she is doing. She dazzles you with an amazing setting, some fabulous characters, and witty banter, and you can't help but fall in love with the book.

This is the perfect rom-com for this summer. It's funny and heartwarming and leaves you with a big smile on your face.

UK release date 20. JULY 2023, and you should definitely order this book. I can't wait for my physical copy to arrive and add it to my Lindsey Kelk collection on the shelf.

Big thank you to @netgalley and @harpercollinsuk for the advanced copy.

Portia Mackintosh is the queen of romance and she’s not giving up that crown for anyone, I read this in one evening and immediately vowed to book a flight to LA for my happy ending too
