So charming, what is not to love when you live in a brilliant cottage on the boardwalk overlooking the breathtaking sea. Going out your front door the sea spray cools you and the view is amongst the best you've ever seen.
Bella seems to be living the charmed life, a little antique business she runs out of the front room of her cottage and renting out a couple of rooms to boarders for supplemental income.
Life is great, she's wonderful friends, since childhood with Jack, her best friends' brother.
Would it be weird to start to have romantic feelings for him? Would he think it was weird? Would she lose her friendship with her best friend? Ugh, so much to think about, should she try to take that first step?
When something unexpected happens in her family will she embrace the changes, or will it be a hinderance to all she has accomplished so far?
A heartwarming rom com about the choices you make not only affecting yourself but those closest to you. Warmth, family, choices, personal growth and friendships all blossom in the gorgeous book.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book.

This was a light-hearted and cute read with gorgeous characters and a fun premise. The perfect escapism for the summer time vibes.
This is a good book. The two main characters are Bella and Jack. They have known each other all their lives. There is an attraction. Bella runs an antique shop. Jack rents a room from her in her house. They have lots of issues but together they work them out and fall in love.
A quick easy and cute read that I finished in one sitting. It made my heart sing, i didn't want it to end and I will definitely be looking for more from the author
A cute summer by the sea book perfunctor for the summer read season. Some fun and relatable characters in a location that's just so summery, you will not want to put the book down
Bella have long time crush to Jack, the brother of her best friend but she would not risk her friendship to date Jack. She doesn’t think Jack feels the same way about her. He on the other, trying hard not to let himself to notice her. When they begin to spend time together this summer, Bella thought she is making progressed but Jack’s girlfriend turned up to cause havoc to their relationship.
This book tells the story of friendship, love and family ties. I like how the author build the main characters which are so lovable and I totally in love with the ending of the story where both Jack and Bella finally acknowledged their feelings for each other at the end. Overall, it is a heart-warming and cosy read to me.
I really really wanted to love this book but I just didn't. I can't fully put my finger on why, but I found the characters grating to the point that I dreaded going back to the book. I was making slow progress ... but apparently too slow as the file expired before I even got halfway.
I am a sucker for any beach town setting and loved the premise, it was just the characters that did me in.
Such a lovely book. I enjoyed my trip back to the Boardwalk by the sea and seeing how the storyline and characters developed. The idea of an antique shop in your front room and 2 of your bedrooms being let out to guests, just gives you a sense of coastal living. The sea and the boardwalk are vividly drawn- you can imagine yourself living there and getting to know all the residents and ice cream parlours. I was so eager to get this book to read after enjoying the first book in the series so much,
A absolute wonderful feel good romantic comedy that anyone who is a fan of the genre will fall in love with
I really enjoyed this book, it is an easy read. I read it as a stand alone but later found out it was the second in the boardwalk series. I think it reads well as a standalone and didn’t feel I had missed anything. The friendships between the characters and the community was quite heart-warming and quite believable. A good holiday read.
A new author for me and one to look out for in the future. This was a quick read but let me wanting to go visit the seaside, perfect read for a pick me up.

What a good small town romance! This had so much depth, it was more than a romcom. It showed the importance of family and friends.
Thank you to Boldwood Books, Georgina Troy and Netgalley for providing me with this copy.
Enjoyed this one and I read it very quickly. A cozy read. I enjoyed the characters and the story-line very much. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.
This book is so delightful that you'll be swept away in no time.
I do love a small town romance, and I am a sucker for second chance romances, so this one was pretty much sold before even starting !
Bella & Jack's sotry was so cute and the setting was perfect.
Really enjoyed it!
Love Begins on the Boardwalk certainly lies within the cozy category. It is very quirky given that the main character is a full time antiquities dealer and part time hand model. There was a nice amount of drama given that Bella's absentee mother shows up out of the blue at the very beginning. Although I wasn't a fan of how that situation resolved. I don't feel it was really all that important to the plot. I felt like I was left wanting to see more of their relationship. I think that whole mother thing could have been omitted and more perspective could have been given to the main love interest. I just wasn't all that interested in Jack. His character was charming and nice, but Bella's perspective doesn't develop him enough. Based on his actions in the book, I think if it was written from a dual perspective I would have been much more invested in him. It would have been interesting to know his motivations in the crazy ex-girlfriend drama. It would have been great to know what was going through his head at the party scene! Bella's point of view just didn't do it justice, it wasn't anything I haven't read a million times before. The most unique feature of the book was the quaint seaside village with the small town vibes, but again nothing new or noteworthy for me.

Bella is happiest running her tiny antique business from the front room of her cottage on the Boardwalk.
To ensure she has enough income coming in, she also rents out two of her bedrooms to paying lodgers.
But she didn't count on having a secret crush on Jack Collins, one of her lodgers and her best friend's brother...
As if life wasn’t complicated enough, her world-travelling mother appears on her doorstep on the same evening that Jack’s ex-fiancée arrives on the Boardwalk determined to win him back.
Bella has a lot of thinking to do and soon discovers that not all gems sparkle.
My Opinion
This is a sweet book that will quickly whisk you away. This is the second book in the series and whilst it can be read as a standalone there is a lot more enjoyment in reading the series in order. A cute story with some great descriptions to help you visualise the boardwalk. A feel good book.
