I received this book from Netgalley. I'd say that I give this book 3 and a half stars. The reason it didn't get a 4 was because I found the whole Megan situation a bit thrown together. I feel like it could have been incorporated a bit better into the story itself. I know when scenarios like this work but normally that's for the main character.
In terms of the story, I love books set on islands and small villages such as this one. Where everyone is part of the community and they all look out for each other. I really enjoyed most of the characters, and Jack - he's such a perfect character.
Very quick read, cute small town romance! Personally I would have liked a little more detail, I couldn’t picture certain scenes in my head very well.

📝I love small town romances and this one delivered. It didn't just give me the romance I wanted between Bella and Jack but the book is also filled with wonderful stories between mom and daughter, girl friendships and a close-knit community you'd want to be a part of. The characters are wonderful and you can't just help but fall in love with them. I love that the author set the story in the beautiful island of Jersey! Georgina Troy's writing will easily transport you to the place and also immerse you to the story.
Bella and Jack are loveable characters. I just wished I saw more tension and chemistry between them. Nonetheless, it was nice to see them slowly become friends to lovers. It was definitely worth the wait. Some scenes I wish I saw instead of just read.
This was a such a cozy read perfect with a hot cup of coco. I look forward to read the rest of the books in the series.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
It was lovely being back in Jersey. Bella works as a hand model, as well as this she has her antique business from where she lives.
She has feelings for Jack, for some time, but never told him.
Jack is not happy with the relationship he has with his controlling girlfriend, he wants to end it, but she’s not taking any notice.
Jack has also loves Bella
Bella has worked with Megan, and soon she’s coming to stay on the island, as she’s getting away from a scandal. Whilst there she becomes friends with the people and her true personality comes out.
So, do Bella and Jack admit their feelings for each other or will he stay with his girlfriend?
I recommend this book.
Bella is a hand model but also runs her antique business from her cottage, and takes in lodgers, she also has a crush on Jack and has done for years but has kept quiet
Jack has been trying to break up with his controlling girlfriend but she isn't taking no for an answer. Jack has also loves Bella
Megan is a highly strung model who Bella has the misfortune to work with but ends up having to stay on the Island for a while to avoid some scandal where fortunately her real self shines through and she becomes friends with everyone
Will Bella and Jack get together or will Jack's ex girlfriend get her way ?
A lovely easy read
Brilliantly descriptive book, I love all the beach and boardwalk references. Made me instantly want to go and enjoy the beach myself. Cute romance story well worth a look. Thank you netgalley for the advanced copy
This book made me feel so warm inside, it was such a cozy, romance, novel about friendship, about family, and about following your instincts about how you feel. I loved Bella and Jack, they were just the cutest characters ever.
Short and sweet. Love Begins on the Boardwalk is a heartwarming, breezy romance, perfect if you're looking for family and friendships.
This wasn't what I expected, but it was still very good. I loved the little community and group in the small village along with the beautiful descriptions. The setting is truly amazing and picturesque.
Character wise, Troy has left no stone unturned. Being a very short novel, there isn't a lot of backstory and building, but I enjoyed the minor character arcs created for Megan, Bella and Jack.
I am truly grateful the to author and publishers for not dragging the plot to make a longer story and then ruining it. This book is a perfect holiday or weekend read to put you in a good mood.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the early copy for my honest opinions.
Oh I loved this. Nice to be back in Jersey. You had a spoilt reality star, Bella finding love. The sea front descriptions were lovely and you finally find out who is making the mystery signs. As for noiseless fireworks just brilliant and Bella’s mum came home. A perfect enjoyable read. I read it on a flight.. We were landing before I knew it . A ten out of ten. You could read as a stand alone .But you will want more. I can’t wait for no 3
Love Begins on the Boardwalk is an great comfort read that was easily enjoyable. Georgina Troy describes the island setting in an idyllic way and the friendships the story follows are relatable. Bella’s road to love certainly isn’t smooth but it’s a page turning journey to follow.
The author brings you on a lovely visit to Jersey.
Full of fun and antics of a close knit community. Throw in a minor reality television celebrity and a highly strung ex and this book is full of drama.
The story follows Bella and her love of her best friend and their journey to love.
A slow burn romance friends to lovers that gives you the much anticipated happy ending.
This was a cute story. The descriptions of the beach and boardwalk made me feel as if I was there. This book is about second chances. Bella’s second chance with Jack. I really liked that Bella was able to see beneath Megan’s bad behavior in London and give her a second chance. This was just a feel good book to me. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.
This is the 2nd book of The Boardwalk series, it can be read as stand alone. My first in this series and this book is good. Life on the island is very calming and simple, i can imagine the beauty of the island cant blame Bella dosnt want to move from there. Drama always find it way, even in small siland. Sweet Bella have longtime crush to Jack her bestfriend brother, Jack seem oblivious, when Bella think she make progress, his ex come to island. There is Bella mom, who love to wandered and come back when one relationship over. As a model hand Bella work once with Megan and now she helping her out of scandal by let her staying in Jersey, to avoid more problem they make story Megan dating Jack.
Thank you to NetGalley for provide this book, it is pleasure to review this book.

I quite liked how Bella and Megan turned out to be friends, how Megan became part of the group.
But apart from that I was confused where Jacks declaration of love came from... him pining for Bella?
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of the book.
Did I like this as much as the first? No not really but I wanted to finish reading it as I love that it's set on Jersey.
In the second book of Georgina's series, Love Begins on the Broadwalk follows the story of Bella, Sacha's best friend and her brother, Jack. For years Bella has secretly been in love with Jack, but turning him down when she was teenager has always haunted her. Back on the island after a horrible photoshoot she suddenly finds her mum on her doorstep having left her much younger lover in Sri Lanka.
Now with her mum around, she tries to juggle her business, trying to hide her feelings with one more complication: reality television star Megan has landed on her door thanks to her agent.
Then there's Jack's vile ex Nicki who won't take no for an answer. Through everything that is going on can these two find a way of finally being together.
Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood for an advance copy of this book. I look forward to book three.
Wow! This book is SO GOOD! It is sweet, romantic, full of heart, engaging, and so much more! Whenever I picked up "Love Begins on the Boardwalk", I was whisked away, and simply could not put this friends-to-lovers romance down!
This is the first book I have read by Georgina Troy, and it certainly will not be my last! Her writing style is vivid, visceral, engaging, detailed, and lovely. Her characters all spring to life right off of the page, and I could truly envision each location, and hear the waves crashing upon the shore. I found myself pulling for Bella and Jack from the very beginning, and I love the relationship and care those who live on the boardwalk show to one another.
Bella and Jack are both such kind, loving, caring, and hard-working people who are very close friends. Bella, however, has deeper romantic feelings for Jack, and does not believe he feels the same way about her. Does he? Perhaps both have held secret feelings for one another for quite a while! You will just have to read to find out!
(Possible Spoilers!)
Oh my goodness, Bella and Jack are so cute together! They bring out the best in one another, and the love they have for everyone they care about it simply beautiful. I hope we see them again in future books!
I love the cover of this book! I do wish that the dogs on it were featured more throughout the book though, as one of them is not until near the very end.
If you enjoy Contemporary Romance, I highly recommend this book! It kept me turning the pages into the early hours of the morning to see how everything would work out. A few moments had me on the edge of my seat hoping everything would be okay, many moments had me smiling, some had me laughing, and some had me swooning! I so look forward to seeing what Ms. Troy writes next!
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC of this book, it is amazing! All opinions expressed in this review are my own.
This is a quick and cute read, very sweet and lighthearted. I found the characters a little flat and the story somewhat lackluster. However, this appears to be part of a series, and I've never read anything else by this author, so it may be that we are expected to already know the characters and have the backstory.
Ahhh. I have just returned from a visit to Jersey, one of the Channel Islands, courtesy of being immersed in Georgina Troy’s novel, Life Begins on the Boardwalk.
The main character, Bella, cobbles together a living by working as a hand model, running an antique shop on the boardwalk, and taking in two lodgers. All of these jobs provide some plot lines. For example, Bella is a hand model for a new reality star who ends up hiding out on the island. Bella also has a years-old crush on one of her lodgers, but he is the brother of her best friend and off-limits. However, my enjoyment of the book came from the matter of fact way Bella goes about her daily life, interacting with other characters in Jersey, and the descriptions of life on a small island. It was a magical escape from the realities of my life, and I was sorry when I got to the end. I could have stayed in Jersey a bit longer.
Characters grow; there is humor and romance, I do tend to like books about antiques, and there is a bit of that too. This is an absolutely charming book.
