I absolutely loved Eden and Anna' story, it was the perfect combination of friends to lovers, slow burn and celebrity romance. Definitely one of my favorites this year.
It was a super cute and romantic story, once I started it, I couldn't put it down.
The slow burn and tension was so good and I enjoyed so much Eden's journey and that finally could live true to herself.
This was an average read. I dont red many lesbian romance novels but i did not feel the connection between the characters. And didnt really like the premise of the story. The characters didnt really do it gor me either. Kind of slow in parts
*4.5
I really adore this book. It was cute and full of queer joy and I smiled all the time reading it. The characters are so relatable, expecially Anna. She’s a fangirl just like me and I adore how unapologetic she is. And I love every single reference to fandoms.
The romance is pretty good, I really love slow burn romance, so I enjoy this! The age gap is very little for me, but I enjoy it as well.
This book is a really comfort book and I am happy to have read it!
Thank you Netgalley and Montlake for the ARC!
Enjoyable, great pacing, exciting settings kept me hooked. Beautiful love story that will be the perfect beach read. Thank you Net Galley for ARC in exchange for my honest opinion
Really more like 2.5, but I just couldn't quite justify the round-up. I liked the premise of this romance, between two pop singers, but unfortunately the characters fell a little flat for me and I didn't really feel the chemistry – and in a romance book, that's a pretty big part of what I'm looking for.
Some of the content was fun, like the author's incorporation of fandom culture, and I really liked that there was a storyline about a later-in-life coming out/queer awakening. (Also, I did like the Vermont content!) All in all it just wasn't quite there for me, but I know a lot of people have loved this, so YMMV!
Thanks to Montlake and Netgalley for the advance copy!
Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this ARC.
I enjoyed reading Stars Collide. It was great to see Eden rediscover herself post-divorce and after having a rocky few years in her career. Anna was a breath of fresh air! She managed to bring Eden out of her shell and to have fun after years of hiding away due to being in the public eye.
Eden’s parents are trash! They are so horrible and yeah… did not like them at all!
Overall, I enjoyed this book, it was almost a 4-star read but rounded it down as I felt the story dragged a bit in the middle.
The representation in this book is incredible, more books like this, please! I really loved the history, is a sweet sapphic romance, but also has everything to be a perfect read: representation, slow burn, celebrity romance, dual pov, friends to lovers, age gap, and characters that actually learn to communicate.
I loved this book!!! Very much gave me mistakes were made by meryl wilsner vibes. this age gap sapphic romance was every bit of spicy and moving. i have never read a book that had a sexual awakening before, so i am grateful to get that reader experience. The representation and education in this book regarding sexuality is astounding. I would recommend it honestly based on that alone. but we also got an amazing romance story along with it, so gotta give the hype there too!! there is so much character development here and it was done so well. i cant wait to recommend this to all my friends.
This was such a cute romance. It’s a nice quick read with a bit of spice and I blasted through it in one night. It will make you feel all of the emotions and was the perfect blend of the joys of love & relationships and the hardships of life especially in the limelight. We get to see both Eden and Anna grow and discover more about themselves and who they want to be. It also shows the realities of toxic families and gives a look at coming out later in life.
Eden and Anna compliment each other well and watching their relationship grow was beautiful. I also loved how great the communcation was throughout the book minus the one blip. I wasn't a huge fan of the conflict but it did add to the relationship and it wasn't overly drawn out. There are also some great side characters and I definitely want to be a part of their friendship group.
I received a copy of the ebook via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review
Pop superstar Eden Sands has not been having a good year - her album didn’t sell well, her marriage ended, and her upcoming Grammy’s performance is missing something. When the solution is bringing in Anna Moss, star on the rise, for a surprise duet, Eden is less than thrilled. Anna is thrilled to work with her idol (who just happened to be part of her sexual awakening) and get taken more seriously as an artist. Their connection is unexpected, but as it continues to heat up, the line between friends and more is even more tempting to cross.
This book was really sweet! I absolutely flew through it, and the story flowed really well. I was so moved by Eden’s journey to open her life to someone new and learn more about herself along the way.
From their adventures on tour, to just watching TV together, Eden and Anna’s relationship was a joy to experience - I especially loved the communication that they used in intimate moments, and the validation of Eden’s journey as she experienced it. Everyone could take a cue from Anna on how to make someone feel seen and cherished!
I didn’t love the final conflict, but I at least understood why it happened. The resolution was satisfying and got me back on board.
This was a sexy, tender sapphic romance that had the glitz and glam of fame balanced with the intimacy of finding love beyond the stage. Would definitely recommend!
SO, you know those authors who manage to create incredibly realistic and endearing characters? The type you just want to befriend? Lacey is an expert at that and Eden and Anna are no exception. Their grumpy x sunshine duo was everything I needed and their story was addictive. I absolutely adored watching their ever evolving relationship set against the backdrop of the glitz, glam and gloom of celebrity life! The way Anna slowly chipped away at Eden's facade gave me absolute joy and kept me completely invested.
If you're looking for a romantic, spicy, sapphic read about somebody who finally realises why love has never felt sparky, passionate and like a romance novel, you need to pick this up. The witty characters, LGBTQIA+ rep and the delicate balance of traumatic, important and happy themes absolutely endear you to this book. It's not one to be missed! I just wish I could hear their music...
You never know where you will find love. It might even be in your crush.
Eden and Anna are two stars fated for each other, but it takes time to come to that realization. Eden is divorced and trying to get her career back on track. Anna is very confident in who she is and is a star on the rise. When these two come together, the stars explode.
This was a tale fraught with emotion, discovery, and learning how to be true to yourself. While Anna is pansexual, Eden doesn't know how she fits into a relationship. I enjoyed watching her discover who she was and what she wanted from life. Many times, we have a different face for everyone else. This was true in Eden's case, but with time and understanding, she comes into her own. There is no timeframe that anyone has to meet to discover their passion, love, and inner soul.
I liked that this romance was not rushed. It was slow while they worked things out. This is important because it was a change for Eden, but it was what helped her recognize and embrace her true self. While they have their ups and downs, they do come together with a happily ever after ending.
There are some tense moments, but I chalked that up to Anna's insecurity and immaturity when it comes to relationships. But those moments helped move the story forward. You have to have some conflict to round out a story.
This was an enjoyable read, and we give it 4 paws up.
Firstly I want to say that the portrayal of eden and her sexuality was a total 5 star for me. I am a queer reviewer and just loved her discovering her sexuality. I also thought the sex scenes were 5 star, but I am not really a fandom girl so a lot of the story felt a slog for me, but this was a total "its not you its me" thing
Eden has been in the music business for two decades, but after a divorce has left her feeling lonely she's desperate to get back to the top of the charts. When her manager recommends she work with young, bubbly, out-and-proud upstart, Anna, she's reluctant to agree but ultimately does for the betterment of her career. As the two go on tour together, they grow closer. At first, Eden chalks it up to friendship, but soon realizes she may feel a little bit more than friendly toward Anna...
I love a good celebrity romance, and this book is no exception. With all the perks and perils of celebrity culture--private jets and paparazzi--but also a wonderful story of self-discovery a bit later in life. We have the pleasure of seeing the beautiful blossoming of a relationship between two superstars over time, with a sizzling culmination. Would recommend this one!
Thanks to Montlake for my eARC! All thoughts and opinions are my own.
5 stars - 9/10
I am not sure if Ms. Rachel Lacey meant for me to play a game finding Taylor Swift references in her book, but I will be honest, I did do that. And I'm not sure if they were intentional, but listening to this book on my way back from Nashville after seeing Taylor live twice was a truly optimal reading experience. Other things you should know about me and my reading tastes is that I frequently love books about music, especially if they talk about song-writing. Why? No clue. But I absolutely love it. And this book has that! So now that you know that I was truly pre-disposed to like this book, let me tell you all the reasons why you also will like this book.
For one thing, these two characters are absolutely fascinating. Eden is a bit buttoned up (okay, maybe a lot buttoned up) and she's really struggling creatively and feels like she's sort of clinging to the edge of her fame, trying to hold on because she knows she's not done yet. Anna is new to the scene and is exuberant and lively. She's not been really jaded yet from fame. Anna is also out and proud (pansexual), whereas Eden has always just assumed she is straight. This book does a really great job (in my opinion) taking what could have gone "gay for you" and instead doing a superb job of making Eden's coming out a slow and gradual thing where she realizes, "oh, I'm actually a _____" (I won't spoil her label for you, but obviously she's sapphic in some way.) I really liked the way Lacey handled this whole aspect of the plot. Anna is also recovering from an emotionally abusive relationship with a woman in the industry who is/was older than Anna and was in a mentor like relationship with her, which puts some obstacles in place in her relationship with Eden as things go along.
Another thing to love about this book is all of the side characters who feel like real people. This book manages to have a large cast of characters and to feel really insular and focused on Anna and Eden together. This book actually balances a lot of things in a really brilliant way, in my opinion. I also liked that this was a celebrity romance with two celebrities who are at different levels of fame, but also each contribute something overall to their professional relationships that both women need. I actually really liked basically everything about their relationship. What holds me back from a five star rating is that while I loved how the conflict was resolved, I did not really love or appreciate the conflict. It didn't feel quite fleshed out enough for me. But that feels like a really minor quibble in light of how much I enjoyed everything else about the book!
Stars Collide is said to be the ideal celebrity romance novel for fans of Sizzle Reel and For her consideration. Does this book lift above others of its type?
The plot focuses on Eden Sands who is a singer that's starting to lose popularity and Anna Moss, an emerging star who have been a lifelong fan of her. After the pair perform a duet at the Grammys, Anna is invited to open for Eden on tour. Little do these girls know what the future holds for them while they are on tour...
What makes this novel stand out from the others is the way the author captures the character's chemistry. I think Lacey made a great job with writing the developing of a genuine love between Eden and Anna. Moreover, the complexity of the characters' psychological backgrounds are well depicted. As a consequence, the reader can empathize with both the love story and protagonists way too easily.
If I could change some elements of this novel, I would change the prose, which felt simple.
All in all, I tremendously enjoyed this book. If you are looking for a lightweight, easy-to-read and unputdownable book, look no further. Stars Collide may be your cup of tea.
🌠 QUICK SUMMARY:
Eden and Anna are both pop stars in need, trying to boost their careers. Their agents suggest an unexpected alliance between the two, that'll result in more than just sparks on stage 👀
🌠 REVIEW:
You guys, this book was just so adorable 😍 Ever since I read Scandalized at the beginning of the year, I discovered a passion for celebrity romance and so I was glad to receive an ARC for this one!
It was a pleasure following Eden and Anna's journey. They're both trying to figure themselves out, in different ways. Anna's trying to become and to be seen as the independent mature woman she's dreaming to be. And Eden, well Eden realises that there may be some parts of herself she has yet to discover 👀😍
The two of them have insane chemistry, on and off stage! Seeing the way they interact with each other, the profound mutual respect, admiration and the need to uplift each other, it was just wonderful 🩷

Thank you Netgalley, Montlake Publishing and the author for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a cute “coming out” romance. I really liked Rachel’s writing and the characters, however it did feel a tad bit on the insta love side of things but even still it wasn’t to insta lovey!
I really enjoyed this sapphic celebrity romance novel, courtesy of NetGalley (thank you!). From the very first page, the characters exuded charm and relatability, and I wanted them to succeed from the outset. The balance between romance and sensuality infused the narrative with an appeal that made me want to read more.
I was glasd that the book delved into themes of self-discovery and personal identity, particularly in the context of navigating one's path later in life. It shed light on the experiences of "older" women within celebrity sphere.
I applaud the author for crafting an entertaining work that seamlessly interwove passion, plausibility, and just the right amount of spice.
I LOVED this book! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but it was utterly engrossing. I stayed up past several bedtimes to keep reading, having been completely sucked in. #Edanna were a delight, both extremely complicated women coming to terms with different stages in their lives. I appreciate that Lacey didn’t shy away from the power imbalances throughout the relationship and made the characters grapple with them. The burn was slow, but not too slow (thank goodness!).
