A cute story about Camel's but also gives kids a look at the Geography of Africa in a fun and way through the story of a little camel's journey.

Nice book with good message on empathy and kindness towards other people. Shown fairly to live and care for others before self. However, Bible verse looked irrelevant to include.
Illustrations were so nice and story also simple and sweet but ended instantly at the point from where it could have been extended a bit more.

If you've read any of my other recent book reviews, you'll already know I start 'em all off in the same way, right? With a couple of sentences just explaining that all the books I read and review start off with the full shebang of stars and that I'm always hopeful that they will all still be firmly in place by the time I close the back cover. A recent addition to this first paragraph is that I am more than happy to replace a star that I've taken off if the book has a magic sentence that means that the author has taken the effort not to break the law.

Now that that's been said, let's get going with the reading and reviewing!

I'm loving the illustrations! They are obviously computer generated, but they are sooo cute and adorable!

Oh boy. It was good until the religious bit. The first star is really wobbly at 70% - any more religion and off it comes.

At 90% the star plops off... young children don't need to be preached to in a story and they may not be being brought up Christian, so we're now down to 4 stars.

Just finished reading and it relied heavily on the illustrations throughout which is disappointing.

The little camel learns a lesson & is encouraged to keep trudging on when it gets hard...something all kids should hear!

Mom reminds the little camel to pray & ask God for help and in the end, the little camel is glad they persevered.

I look forward to buying copies for my kids & future grandkids. 💜

Rusky is an adorable little camel who learns some valuable life lessons in this book. He lives with his mother in Africa and one day he and his mom join a caravan that will cross the hot sandy desert with its unrelenting heat and danger to deliver goods to a remote village that is located very far away.

Rusky, although tiny, is assigned to carry the children's toys. The traversal is very difficult. The caravan experiences harsh weather, difficult roads, and physical pain and poor Rusky becomes exhausted and wants to give up and return home. He realizes in his heart the importance of their mission and focuses on reaching his destination no matter what.

I love this inspiring book. It is a wonderful one to share with your little ones. The positive message is what the world needs now. It is a message of compassion, kindness, love and the amazing drive to take your eyes off of yourself and focus on the needs of others. The illustrations are gorgeous. I highly, highly recommend this book.

Cute little picture book about little guys doing big things for God. I loved the illustrations in this book. The storyline felt a little detached and could have been elevated by more descriptive text. I like to be drawn into the story (as if I am walking along with the main characters). All in all, cute.
