This book is the perfect addition to anyone's collection on the titanic.
I devoured this book the minute i got approved. There was so many amazing pictures along side some incredible information. Whether you know a little bit or a lot about the titanic this book is sure to keep you engaged and learning something new about the tragic events that took place.
I really enjoyed the history in this book. So many pictures and information that was helpful through the book.
I'm sure my 12-year-old self would have enjoyed this book just as much as my 59-year-old self. This is a wonderful coffee table book. Like the subject matter, it's big and impressive.
It is not only filled with great photos, drawings, and images of real historical artefacts, but it is also very well written. The author starts by providing background on transatlantic travel, the owners and management of White Star Lines, the company responsible for building Titanic (as well as 2 other giant, luxury ships - Olympic and Britannic), construction and engineering information, the voyage, the sinking and the aftermath.
Definitely worth reading, it's excellent!
This might me be one of the most fun ways to interest someone in the topic of Titanic. The story of the ship and her sinking is very well told and all the photos included were such a pleasure to browse through.
And if you're already a devoted Titanic buff like me, you'll still enjoy learning some new facts and seeing some (or a lot of) photos you haven't seen before.
Loaded with photos and information (may not be new information to devotees) this is a great book to include in a personal Titanic collection.
This is a really good book - I've always been fascinated by the Titanic and have read and watched a lot on the subject, but David Ross has still managed to unearth interesting photos I'd not seen and facts I didn't know.
It's easily digestible and well put together.

When I requested this book, I did not realize that it was not available on Kindle.
My computer cannot read .pdf files and the print on the Kindle Shelf App is way too small for my old eyes to read.
I am very sad that I cannot access this book. I am a long time Titanic aficionado and wanted badly to add this book to my list of favorites.
Should the book become available on Kindle, or in print, I will obtain it then.
I want to thank NetGalley and Amber Books Ltd./Amber Books for attempting to forward to me a copy of this book for me to read and enjoy.
Oh this book gave me goosebumps. There are so many incredible photos of the ship, the people and things like menus, tickets and the distress calls as well as so much fascinating information. Stunning but sad book to have!
I love everything to do with the Titanic, it has fascinated me since I found out about it, and it helps that I was born 70 years to the day it launched! That has intrigued me even more as there are always documentaries or book releases that come out around the time of my birthday.
I always love to get my hands on any new releases on the topic and as soon as I saw the cover for this one and read the blurb, I knew it would be a book I would really enjoy – and I am sure it will become one that is treasured by many other too as it is packed with photographs
I loved the layout and the commentary that was added to the photos too. It was a very easy and enjoyable book to read and the tragedy that unfolded was covered really well, along with the aftermath but I loved that the focus really was on the ship herself
It is 5 stars from me for this one, very highly recommended – a fabulous book for Titanic fans, social history enthusiasts and anyone who has an interest in ships and this era too as whilst the book is predominantly on the ship, you also get am insight on the differences between classes and social history too
Most people know the story of the Titanic. Of what happened on that fateful day, 14 April 1912. However, few are probably aware of what happened in the aftermath of the sinking of the Titanic.
The photos in this book were beautiful and quite a few are ones I hadn't seen before. I loved the detail in the book. I also really liked the last chapter about the aftermath because I wasn't really aware of any of it.
I absolutely loved reading this book. I was completely drawn into the topic and could not stop reading it.
