An ideal holiday read. Sarah Morgan's books are always a delight. Catherine's daughters, Adeline and Cassie, are surprised when they each receive invitations to their mother's wedding in Corfu. They have an even bigger shock when they get there and find out who the groom is! As the weekend unfolds, family problems and secrets are revealed, shared and solved. A heart-warming story in a beautiful setting.

I have loved Sarah Morgan’s books for many years now, and I have enjoyed the evolution of her writing. Summer Wedding was no exception, I absolutely loved it.

I really enjoyed the multigenerational aspects of this story, and reading the perspectives of the three different women. I loved the gradual uncovering of the past, and the healing of old wounds. The three romances were almost secondary to the main plot, but they were nonetheless very satisfying to read. I also enjoyed getting to know the three women, and how the events of the past had affected them all differently.

The setting of Corfu came through very strongly, you could almost feel the sun on your face.

Overall, this was one of those books you just don’t want to put down. It was full of family and romance, and a beautiful setting.

I was given a copy of this book, my opinions are my own.

Wow. I just loved this book. Sarah Morgan is a great author. Not only are the characters believable and likeable, the story is really interesting with drama, a great setting and some romance. Can’t recommend this one highly enough.

Though this has all the elements of a summer romance, it's really a story about family. The plot 'twist' was fairly obvious, as were the resolutions to the various friendships in the novel, but they were still enjoyable/satisfying to read. The setting in Corfu makes this a very 'summery' novel, but there are definitely darker, more serious undertones. A solid 3-3.5* read.

Plot: Catherine Swift is a romance novelist about to marry for the fourth time. She invites her two daughters, Adeline and Cassie to Corfu where she owns a villa to attend. Adeline doesnt want to go just to watch her mother marry another unsuitable man, whereas Cassie is excited and admires that her Mum has never given up on romance. Secrets are revealed and emotions are high while they all try to enjoy the wedding that's to come.

Review: I found this to be a little different to Sarah Morgan's previous novels but it was still enjoyable. It did take me quite a while to get into it though and to warm to the characters but once I got about 50% in i was invested in the story. It was a good read and I would recommend it.

Sarah Morgan is back to take us off on a Summer of troubled family dynamics in the glorious setting of Corfu in her latest release Summer Wedding. We meet mum Catherine who is the bride to be and her daughters Adeline and Cassie with each chapter alternating between each of the women’s points of view which we have come to know and love with all Sarah Morgans novels.

All three women although related, all hold completely different personalities so I am sure each reader will warm to one character more than the others.

Adeline comes across as withdrawn and a little stuck up and standoffish so isn’t instantly likeable but as the novel pulls you in and reveals hidden secrets it is easy to see why her personality is the way it is.
Cassie is an instant ray of sunshine, puts others happiness before her own and wants to see good in everything but she doesn’t have the belief in herself.

Mum Catherine was a hard character to warm to, and even though the secrets she held close were eventually revealed and her reason for certain choices she made come to light I still couldn’t warm to her character and could see why Adeline was the way she was in regards to her mother.

The usual lightness to this authors novels isn’t present in this novel, it covers more grit with hidden secrets, abandonment and abuse all covered but it was a refreshing change from the authors usual style. There is a little romance sprinkled here and there so that the book isn’t too heavy for a holiday read. In some ways the book was predictable but I was curious to find out the reason behind what I expected was going to happen.

This was another enjoyable read by Sarah Morgan although not all sunshine and happiness it was still a page turner with an easy flow to her writing that was a joy to read.

Thanks to netgalley for this book in exchange for an honest review.
I've read a few books by this author and always enjoyed them, unfortunately this book just didn't live up to the usual standards for me.
It was very predictable, I guessed who was getting married, guessed about the previous relationship and quite a few other things right at the beginning of the book. This meant the rest of the book for me was just waiting for them to admit what I already knew.
I know romance stories are always predictable as in the happy every after, but this was just too predictable.
The writing wasn't awful, and the detail in describing the situations was good but unfortunately it's not a book I would recommend.

Summer Wedding by Sarah Morgan, a NetGalley read. Catherine Swift is a best selling author, she’s successful and seemingly confident, however she holding a lot of secrets, secrets that she believes are protecting her family. Catherine has to daughter Adeline who she’s barley been a mother to and Cassie who she is more like best friends with. Adeline and Cassie barley have a relationship however when they are both summon to the island of Corfu for there mothers wedding, to a mystery man, secrets are revealed. In many ways this is your typical Sarah Morgan book, beautiful setting, romantic and a little predictable. However there is a little twist (somewhat predictable in the fact that I guessed the twist but just wasn’t completely sure). I went from thinking this book was a little boring, to kind of liking it, to wondering where the plot was going and to eventually not being able to put it down. It’s a nice book, worth a read, especially if you are a fan of Sarah Morgan, it’s a bit more grittier in places than some of the authors previous books, tackling tough subject such as abuse and I think this is what makes the book interesting and in some parts it was hard ti out down. The three woman Catherine, Adeline and Cassie are strong independent woman, stronger than they believe perhaps. It’s a good summer read, I would recommend however it’s probably not the first book I would recommend to out on your summer TBR pile. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I always love a Sarah Morgan book! This one is a bit of mystery, a bit of romance, a bit of family discord and reunion - all set in the beautiful island of Corfu. Great summer reading (even in the Spring!).

Five stars. I love how Sarah Morgan can write about something that draws you in as easily as ‘chick-lit’ but has a deeper story. The characters had depth and hidden secrets. I can’t wait to read more.

A new Sarah Morgan is always a cause for excitement especially when it’s set on the beautiful island of Corfu. An amazing sense of place is always one of my favourite elements of her novels and this one is no exception. This is a well-written contemporary story about a family finding a way forward after secrets have been revealed with an absolutely stunning location.

Corfu is where the best-selling romantic novelist Catherine Swift has made her home and where she is about to get married for the fourth time. She wants both her daughters to be there although she is keeping the identity of the groom a secret.

This wasn’t my favourite of the author’s novels. I felt that the opening dragged and it was all a bit predictable. At first, I didn’t like Catherine or Adeline much however, their characters grew on me as the story went on. I enjoyed the three different points of view although I found Adeline’s inability to see her mother’s point of view a bit wearing after a while.

After not really enjoying the beginning of the story, I found the ending to be surprisingly touching even though there were no great surprises. It’s maybe not her best novel but Sarah Morgan is always an author who is worth reading.
Thank you to Net Galley and the publishers, HQ, for my ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Another great read by Sarah Morgan, this time set on Corfu and centring around a romance novelist (Catherine) and her two daughters (Adeline and Cassie).

Catherine is getting married again, for the fourth time, and has invited her daughters to the wedding at her home in Corfu. But whilst Cassie is a romantic and loves the idea of her mother marrying again, Adeline is the complete opposite and doesn't want to attend, but feels she has to. And of course the groom is a shock to both sisters!

There are lots of family issues going on in the background, especially with Adeline to start with who has a very difficult relationship with her mother, who divorced her father and send Adeline to live with him when she was young and Catherine remarried. Of course Adeline assumed it was because she wasn't wanted, but we learn differently throughout the book. Cassie, who is a very happy character and floats through life without many cares, also finds out secrets about her father, the 'love of her mother's life' who died when she was a baby.

A very compelling read, great characters and storyline - I had to keep reading to find out the secrets that Catherine had been hiding!

Set mainly on Corfu, one of my favourite Greek islands, the descriptions of the setting are beautiful and it’s easy to imagine yourself there.

I liked the way the author told the story from different points of view but overall it was all very predictable. There were no surprises , it was a bit drawn out and I knew exactly how it was all going to pan out. Having said that it was an enjoyable beach read. Unlike the author who hates three I think three stars is a good solid read!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for this ARC

A first class novel, as always from Sarah! A real delight full of warm, touching and romantic scenes. Sarah is so descriptive you can just imagine yourself in the lovely sunshine and atmosphere of Greece. Catherine may be a brilliant romantic novelist, but when it comes to her own life things do not always live up to what she writes about!

Bestselling romance author Catherine Swift is engaged once again. With three failed marriages, her relationship with her daughters is strained and she is counting on this wedding at her villa in Corfu, to finally bring the family together.

Adeline, the eldest daughter, can’t believe her mother is getting married for a fourth time, or that she’s expected to attend. It brings back the painful memories of her mother’s infidelity, the baby who was the result and being sent to live with her dad.

Cassie, on the other hand, is thrilled by her mother’s impending wedding and is excited to meet the mystery groom. Cassie also has a secret of her own, and a few weeks in Corfu will give her the time she needs.

As the daughters arrive on the island, their mother begins to reveal secrets from the past, and suddenly both Cassie and Adeline realise that they don’t know their mother or their own history at all.

A romance/ family drama story, where I guessed who the mystery groom would be quite early on. The point of view is switched between the women, mostly set in Corfu but starting with the daughters in their UK homes. The story contains a bit of cheesy romance in there, and a dark side towards the end. Overall it was a nice escapism read.

I received this book from netgalley in return for a honest review.

Superb! The perfect summer read!

As I was reading this I could honestly imagine myself laying on a sun bed next to a pool in the blistering sun whilst drinking a cocktail. Sarah Morgan is one of my favourite authors and I have to say that I think Summer Wedding is one of my favourite books she has written.

I loved the setting, I loved the characters Adeline & Cassie and I really enjoyed the insight in to a writers life. This book draws you in, and keeps you hooked with a few twists and turns and finishes leaving you feel satisfied and all warm and fuzzy.

Definitely a five star rating from me!

Thank you Harper Collins for this ARC copy.

I have enjoyed Sarah Morgan's books before so I was very eager to read this latest novel. 'Summer Wedding' is a spectacular summer read set in Corfu which is captivating and engrossing from beginning to end. Although it is basically a romance it deals with darker issues too. Ideal for a sunny beach in Corfu.
Thank you to NetGalley and HQ for the advance copy of this book.

Really enjoyable - felt a little‘autobiographical’/ self-indulgent at the start but once the book started to progress it flowed in the usual Sarah Morgan style.

I love her books and this was no exception, though the slow start brought it down to 4 stars, the ending and resolutions were her usual sterling stuff, with happy endings all round 💕💕💕💕

Set in idyllic Corfu, with three narratives, Summer Wedding tells the story of successful romance writer Catherine Swift and her daughters, Adeline and Cassie.

Catherine is getting married for the fourth time and sends an invitation to both of her daughters. Adeline is a successful agony aunt but when it comes to her own life, she has always had a strained relationship with both her mother and sister. Cassie is down-to-earth, a fresh graduate and dreams of having her own work published one day.

I enjoyed this book - it was a light and easy read. However, I did find the first quarter of the book to be quite slow, as nothing really happened and the characters seemed to have repetitive thoughts. I also found the so-called 'reveals' to be quite predictable.

When Adeline and Cassie are invited to their mother’s fourth wedding they each have very different feelings about it. But before anyone can move on they have to face the past and learn that things are not always as straightforward as they seemed at the time.
